Your idea in 54 hours

Join the first edition about Artificial Intelligence of Belgium !

Together with an awesome group of people, you'll work during 54 hours on the development of some disruptive and innovative businesses that use and empower Artificial Intelligence to contribute to solve problems. Some of the topics covered are: Health, waste management, education, social, mobility, access to energy, technology and much more.

Do you have an idea you'd like to tackle or a problem you'd like to solve but don't know where to start or who to start with?

Techstars Startup Weekend is the place to look for a team, create a prototype of your idea, validate your business idea, and receive feedback from experienced entrepreneurs, all in one weekend.

What do you need to bring?

Lots of energy! You'll pitch your own idea or listen to others, then vote on the most interesting ideas and form teams with diverse skill sets. You can come with friends, but you’ll get the full experience if you participate in separate teams. Remember, it’s all about the team.
Your idea should be something you have not previously worked on. The idea you pitch and the problem you set out to solve can span social, educational, financial, environmental, or other issues. Over the course of the weekend you'll be challenged to create a prototype of your MVP, or minimum viable product, that fits the needs of your target customer. You'll get feedback, iterate, and likely pivot your approach entirely! Important: You cannot have worked previously on your idea.

Techstars Startup Weekend is a full weekend long experience. Your ticket includes:
  • 7 full (and delicious) meals over the course of the weekend
  • Benefits and discounts from our global partners
  • One-on-one time with amazing mentors
  • A new network of entrepreneurs, developers and designers eager, like you, to change the world.
  • All the internet and coffee you can consume.

Combine the power of entrepreneurship, innovation and technology to create positive impact on society. You also will:
  • Pitch your idea (if you want to; it's an open stage format)
  • Form a team around an idea and make it real
  • Get coached by some of the toughest industry experts
  • Present your business model to a panel of expert judges and win amazing prizes
  • Share and connect with like-minded, passionate individuals
  • Test the limits of sleeplessness ;)

Watch the video below to see what you can expect, and if you’re feeling inspired click on the “Buy Ticket” button now!

Startup Weekend in Belgium
There has been 30 events in Belgium gathering
2000 participants so far.
With 15 events every weekend in the world, this is biggest catalyst of entrepreneurship powered by Techstars community.

About Startup Weekend

Startup Weekend are weekend events where startup enthusiasts come together to share ideas, form teams, build products, and launch startups! With over 1.600 events in over 700 cities and 120 countries, Startup Weekend is a global network of passionate leaders and entrepreneurs on a mission to inspire, educate, and empower individuals and teams to found successful startups.

All Startup Weekend events follow the same basic model: on Friday evening, you are invited to present your best idea and inspire others to join your team. Of course you don’t have to present your own idea. You may not be the next Elon Musk but you certainly possess valuable skills that other teams will be in need of. Once teams have been formed around the most convincing ideas, you will focus on business model creation, product designing, prototyping, coding and market validation.

Throughout the weekend, the teams will be supported by mentors and coaches, who are experts in their fields. The weekend culminates on Sunday evening with presentations in front of a top-class jury composed of entrepreneurial leaders and Changemakers. This is another opportunity for critical feedback. You can learn more about the  coaches and judges of Startup Weekend Changemakers below.

Winners will receive awesome awards along with prizes such as free design resources, free access to softwares, a spot in an incubator program to boost their startup and a space in a co-working place.
