Saturday October 28th

Teams formed on Friday night work with mentors to develop their ideas further and carry out market research and develop their Minimum Viable Product (MVP). Detailed program schedule will be made available on the event website in coordination with the facilitator

Sunday October 29th

Go Home!
Teams wrap up market research and finalize their minimum viable product. By Sunday afternoon, teams start finalizing their final presentations with the help of mentors. By 5 pm on Sunday, teams should have their presentations ready. Judges and guests will arrive by around 6 pm. The final presentations will be made by the teams, and winnings teams will be declared based on marks given by the judges. Award of Prizes will follow, with remarks by the Chief Guest and facilitator, and vote of thanks by the organizers.

Dorji Tashi
Executive Director

Dorji Tashi is the Executive Director of the Loden Foundation, a Civil Society Organization that empowers youth through entrepreneurship and education. He has masters in business administration (MBA) from the United Kingdom complementing his BA in Bhutanese Language and Cultural Studies. During his eight years of service with Loden, Dorji has trained over a thousand aspiring entrepreneurs and helped 130 entrepreneurs to start new ventures besides other social projects. He sits on various national advisory committees such as Civil Society Organization (CSO), Bhutan Trust Fund and Small Grant Project of United Nation's Office, Bhutan. Dorji has worked for Ministry of Information and Communications as a language development officer and Bhutan Broadcasting Service as a part-time Radio Jokey before joining Loden. He joined Loden in 2008

Pema Choden

CEO and Chief Editor of Yeewong Magazine, the first and only women Magazine in the country. A graduate from Sherubtse College awarded  gold medal in English Literature at College Convocation in 2009. Received medal of encouragement from His Majesty the King in 2012 during the National Day. Launched Zhimmey.com restaurant listing website and Yeewong Multi-media company (website, online content creation and video stories for social media).

Vijay Gurung
Head, ICT, Royal Thimphu College

 Vijay is from Samtse, Bhutan, and holds a Masters degree in Computer Science from Bhathidasan University, Tiruchirapalli, Tamil Nadu, India. After finishing my M.Sc IT, I worked for two years in Rigsum Institute of IT & Management in Thimphu as a principal and corporate trainer. Before joining RTC, worked in India as an Associate Developer in Drupal and PHP. He is also the Founder and Chief Technical Officer at IDruk Solutions, a software development firm based in Thimphu


Sonam Tobgay

A software engineer by profession and works as a Senior ICT officer for the Department of Information Technology and Telecom, Ministry of Information & Communications under the Royal Government of Bhutan (RGoB). Currently, he is leading a project to develop whole of government Datahub system for the RGoB. The initiative will develop a common data/service exchange platform for the government enabling seamless exchange of information among government information systems/apps and realize integrated service delivery. The initiative will be further developed in 2017 to incorporate single-sign-on (SSO) for citizens to avail online services. 
Over the last ten years in the ministry, he has contributed immensely towards the development of e-Government within Bhutan. He developed one of the first G2C e-Services (issuance of online police clearance) in 2009 and was later deputed to Prime Minister’s office in 2010 as a part of core team to improve G2C services under Improving Public Service Delivery (IPSD) initiative. 
He graduated from the University of Western Australia with MS in Computer Science and also he is TOGAF 9.1 trained and certified. To keep up with his profession, he is personally keen on developing software and had won two mobile apps contest held at national level in 2016 and 2017.


Priyanka Sharma

Priyanka  Sharma has a double masters degree in International Business Management from FH Osnabrueck in Germany and Skema Business School in Lille, France. She has over 5 years of experience working as Customer Relationship Manager in the IT industry in India in companies such as Categis ( a start-up ) and Akamai. She also works as a freelance communications skills trainer and is currently a lecturer in the business department at Royal Thimpu College. Her area of research is Business Communication. Specifically, the application of Buddhist wisdom in compassionate communication to business organisations.She speaks fluent German, English and Hindi.


Abi Narayan

Coder, geek, hacker and a father. Loves math and cryptography, enjoys Linux shell. High school dropout, self thought web developer and PHP expert. Founder of aBit (a Bhutanese Innovation in Technology) and LittleBhutan.


Chencho Chencho

Head of Government Performance Management Division under Office of the Prime Minister
Prior to the current position, he worked as a Senior Planning Officer, Perspective Planning Division under Gross National Happiness Commission and as a       Systems Manager, ICT Unit, Gross National Happiness Commission.
He possesses skills and experience in Strategic Planning, Results Based Management and Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation, Organizational Performance Management,     Enterprise Systems Architecture Development and System Analysis and Design
He holds a Masters  of Applied Science (Information Systems)  from Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology, Melbourne, Australia.


Tashi Daw

Works as a Chief Technology Officer at New Edge Technologies Private Ltd.
Prior to his current position, he worked as a Senior ICTO in G2C office under Office of Prime Minister, RGOB. 
He holds a Bachelor in Computer Science IT from Sherubtse College.
