Marko Martic
Executive Director

Marko Martic is an economist from Banja Luka with more than eighteen years of professional experience. Marko has strong professional record, particularly in areas of local economic development, strategic planning and project cycle management, where he performed several advisory and expert positions for local and international organizations. From 2010 he is Executive Director and Co-Founder of GEA - Center for Research and Studies, an economic think tank organization that analyzes and supports reforms of public policies in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Within the GEA he has conducted number of policy analyses and authored several publications. Marko also has diverse interests on entrepreneurship, employment economics and public sector reform. He is internationally certified consultant and business trainer for small and medium enterprises. Always eager to hear entrepreneurs with new projects and innovative business ideas.


Suada Avdic

Entrepreneur. 25 zears of expirience in managing own business in turism, trade and production sector.


Coaches and Mentors


Ante Jurić Marijanović

Currently working on position as manager of "Employment and enterpreneurship" program in OKC Banja Luka. 10 years of various work expirience in different sectors, mostly in sales, in companies such as RECRO group (ICT), Intesa Sanpaolo (finance sector), RTL and HRT (media) and various other SME's in retail. Formal education gained on Faculty of Economics in Zagreb, while the most importnat non-formal was gained on CompTIA Project+ seminar and on CEFE training.


Erol Mujanovic
Business Development Manager

With a decade long managerial experience in private, public and Ngo sector, Erol has also an extensive experience in matching BiH entrepreneurs with foreign investors and partners from all over the world. Erol participated in the Start up weekends from the very beginnig in BiH and he has been very active as a motivational speaker and consultant for youth in entrepreneurship and labor market related fields. He is also successfully implementing several own business ideas including Klix Running Club in Sarajevo. As a passionate long distance runner, and participant in more than 50 races all over the world, he remains fascinated by pushing the limits of the human body and mind by the willpower."


Igor Bajic

Over 12 years of experience in private and public sector. Worked in different industries, from production through services, as well as in financial sector. Main areas of expertise include market research, business planning and marketing. Participated in numerous research and consulting projects for local and foreign clients. Currently employed in the Republic of Srpska Investment-Development Bank.


Vladimir Brankovic

Vladimir was born in 1980 in Banja Luka. After a long career as a handball player he started his own company called BBPrint. In 2011 he patented “Flamestick” – waterproof sticks for lightning fire. In short period “Flamestick” become international product and it can be found in shops across the world.


Aleksandar Tasev

ICT expert and entrepreneur, with diverse experience in innovation, service provision, entrepreneurship and social activism. He is the founder of Akota ING, a software development company, and Internet Trgovija, a regional e-commerce platform provider. Has created patent pending technology and has contributed his experience to development of the innovation eco-system in Macedonia with the cabinet of the President of the Republic. His personal goal is to foster the implementation of ideas that enable the freedom of people to reach their highest potential. He is a co-founder and executive director of the non-profit foundation Balkan Unlimited, which is a regional supporter of innovation, entrepreneurship, economical and cultural ties in the Balkans. With Balkan Unlimited he advances this goal partly through hosting the premier Balkans venturing event, the Balkan Venture Forum.


Bojan Kovacevic

Bojan Kovacevic is a graduated lawyer and he is employed in Eda as a legal expert. He has 10 years of experience in activities focusing on development of SMEs and entrepreneurship, earned from working in the Agency for development of small and medium enterprises of Republika Srpska and in Eda. He has significant experience in projects of analysis of situation related to business environment in BiH and design of programs and projects aimed at its improvement, as well as in preparation of support programs for SMEs. Also, in previous engagements he has gained specific knowledge in the field of internal organization and administrative procedures, especially in the area of ​public procurement, labor relations, statutory issues etc

Co - Founder Cube

Co - Founder at The Cube Athens, Athens’ largest co-working community, which hosts some of Greece’s best experts in technology.
The Cube is also home to most of Athens’ technology events, hackathons, innovation sessions and training events.
Maria has been involved with Startup Weekend since 2009, having facilitated over 20 events around the world in cities such as Torino, Athens, Volos, Larissa, Thessaloniki, Patra, Vlasic, Copenhagen, Limerick, Moldova and more.
Her first business was founded at a Startup Weekend.
Maria was invited to join as a fellow to the RSA community in 2016 which provides a platform for the world's leading thinkers, sharing their ideas online, while their Action and Research Centre searches for new and innovative ways to solve society’s greatest challenges.
She loves challenges and connecting with people with the same mindset as her own and turning nothing into something huge & impactful.
A mother to two young boys Panos 14 & George 12, loves to travel and staying fit & active, and loves trying out extreme sports.
