O Startup Weekend é uma rede global de líderes e empreendedores de alto impacto com a missão de inspirar, educar e dar suporte a indivíduos, equipes e comunidades. 

O evento é uma experiência única onde empreendedores e aspirantes a empreendedores, onde suas ideias são expostas. Durante os três dias do evento, os participantes expõem suas ideias, validam, constroem o modelo de negocio e desenvolvem um prototipo e realizam no final um apresentação para uma banca avaliadora. 

A temática Maker tem por objetivo a construção de um hardware durante o fim de semana. Todas as startups que serão desenvolvidas deverão apresentar um protótipo, um MVP para avaliação técnica dos jurados.

O termo 'MAKER' vem da cultura "Do it yourself" (Faça você mesmo), que é um movimento que incentiva a criação de diversos produtos, como móveis, equipamentos eletrônicos, brinquedos, cremes para cabelo, etc. De forma geral, o termo refere-se a qualquer coisa projetada, modificada ou fabricada pela própria pessoa, sem a ajuda de profissionais. É o "fazer com as próprias mãos".

E para desenvolver esta cultura já existente em Itabira e região, estamos organizando este Startup Weekend para ser a fogueira da chama maker!


Todos são bem-vindos! O evento começa com a apresentação de ideias para novas startups. Depois disso, times são formados entorno das ideias mais votadas pelos participantes. A partir de então, começa a corrida para a criação de startups e seus produtos minimamente viáveis em apenas 54 horas.

Eat food, share ideas, practice pitches, get to know fellow participants

Welcome & Speakers
Review agenda for the weekend and introduce speakers, coaches, and community leaders


7:30 pm
Pitches Start
Optionally line up to give your pitch


9:00 pm
Voting
Attendees vote for the top pitches


9:15 pm
Form Teams
Teams start forming and discussing ideas


10:00 pm
Begin Work
Start to formalize teams and take an inventory of skills. Be honest, and direct about what resources and skills are needed for the weekend. You may stay and work as late as the venue will allow

Ricardo Moraes
Valuations

Ricardo Moraes currently works @ eShares on the Valuations team, has a personal project of a deck of cards for effective team communication and execution called Playbook Decks (getplaybook.com).

He has more than 10 years of experience with innovation, investments, startups, and telling silly jokes. His last role was as General Manager @ Cabify in Rio de Janeiro, launching its regional business operation.

Previously, he managed a Private Investment Fund, doing investments and working directly with startups as part of their board. Love to meet new people and have good laughs!
