Do you have an idea you'd like to pursue or a problem you'd like to solve but don't know where to start or who to start with?
Techstars Startup Weekend is the place to look for a team, create a prototype of your idea, validate your business idea, and receive feedback from experienced entrepreneurs, all in one weekend.
What do you need to bring?
Lots of energy! You'll pitch your own idea or listen to others, then vote on the most interesting ideas and form teams with diverse skill sets. You can come with friends, but you’ll get the full experience if you participate in separate teams. Remember, it’s all about the team.
Your idea should be something you have not previously worked on. The idea you pitch and the problem you set out to solve can span social, educational, financial, environmental, or other issues. Over the course of the weekend you'll be challenged to create a prototype of your MVP, or minimum viable product, that fits the needs of your target customer. You'll get feedback, iterate, and likely pivot your approach entirely! Important: You cannot have worked previously on your idea.

Yavor Petrov

Yavor Petrov is the fourth person to serve as Chairman and Executive Officer of the company since its foundation in 2007. Yavor became a Member of the BoD in November 2015 and the Chief Executive Officer in January 2018. He began his career at iCard as a Program Analyst and over the next 11 years, he advanced through multiple positions of increasing responsibility in software development, technologies, and management. Under Yavor Petrov’s leadership, iCard AD continues advancing in technology, partnerships and integrations, market share, productivity and human resources. With a rich background in building real-time payment systems and elaborate financial platforms, Yavor drives the company forward with his vision for non-standard solutions.
Ralitsa Zhekova
Executive Director
Dr. Ralitsa Zhekova (female) holds a PhD in Political Science.
She is an Executive Director of RAPIV since 01.02.2017. She has academic
experience as university professor for more than 20 years working in
Bulgarian and foreign universities.
Ralitsa Zhekova leaded more than 10 national and international projects
under different programmes: FP6, FP7, INTERREG EUROPE, JOP Black Sea
Basin 2007-2013, EEA Financial Mechanism, LLP, Erasmus+, etc.
She provided advisory and training services to some of the governmental
and private institutions with particular emphasis on project management
and negotiations.
She has been external evaluator of some European programmes.
She is an author of 17 scientific publications.

Plamen Popov is a bulgarian entrepreneur, Sales master, Author, Co-founder of "The University for Personal Development & Entrepreneurship" and "I Awake Bulgaria" - a national information-education campaign in the field of social entrepreneurship.
Plamen has over 15 years of experience and more than 13 business projects under his belt. He make his first BGN 1,000,000 sale at the age of 25 years. During the last three years he has been developing a successful company for trainings in personal development, entrepreneurship and sales, as for that period, he achieved an economic growth of nearly 40000%. Has written the first practical entrepreneurship manual for Bulgaria - "The Entrepreneur" where he reveals his practical business experience of the last 15 years, with the success and the challenges on his way.

Sonya Nikolova
Procurator
Sonya joined iCard in 2017 and took the role of a Procurator of the company. She is focused on the corporate recruitment practices and all activities on the employees' well-being and nourishment agenda. The high-level management of all customer support services also falls within the scope of her authority. Sonya has more than 25 years of experience in the banking industry. She spent 11 years at the head office of Société Générale Expressbank and 9 years at Alpha Bank Bulgaria as a Regional Manager and a Deputy Branch Network Manager. In her career, she also has a rich background in Risk and Business Valuation. Behind her professionalism stands her degrees in the areas Microelectronics, Accounting and control, Business Administration and last but not least her qualification in Business Valuation from the Chapman University, Southern California.

Николай е възпитаник на Математическа Гимназия Д-р Петър Берон - гр.Варна, а след това продължава обучението си във Великобритания, където прекарва 6 години. През половината от това време успешно завършва образованието си в Birmingham City University, специалност Media and Communications, а през другата половина работи в една от най-големите банки на Острова - Royal Bank of Scotland Group.
Завръща се в България преди малко повече от година, за да работи по собствени проекти, а веднага след прибирането си се включва и в екипа на Innovator - най-новият co-working space в града със зона за изобретатели.

Sardinian, currently based in Rome. Degree in Natural Sciences, GIS and Satellite Remote Sensing expert, after working as GIS analyst decides to begin to understand how business works and was amazed by the startup universe. It all started in 2013 with the participation at Startup Weekend Cagliari, from there he fell into the black hole, participating in a lot of startupsweekend and working on his own projects. He is currently CEO of ARMNet, a company that deals with integrating augmented reality to the management of infrastructure networks. Passionate about technology in every aspect, music, fitness, new trends. Crossfit addited but also good food addicted, house music hard listener. There is always a different way to see things and solve problems and there is a song everything.
