For this edition, we are hosting with Cyberport Startup Alumni Association on March 23 - 25, 2018 at Cyberport. We are committed to encourage and empower entrepreneurs to revolutionize the financial service industry using technology. From internet banking, mobile payments to blockchain and the blooming of cryptocurrency, we welcome any innovative ideas to enhance the service in the financial industry.By spending a weekend working to build scalable companies that solve real-world problems, you will build long-lasting relationships and possibly walk away with a job or even an investor.  You can get one-on-one time with the experienced startup community leaders and mentors. Meet and get valuable feedback from a panel of judges and startup coaches. 

Meet new friends, form a team, and start your business in 54 hours!

Tickets are priced at HKD$350 - for all the participants. This includes a beautiful t-shirt, 2 breakfasts, 1 lunch and 3 dinners, with loads of Energy drinks and snacks to keep you going all weekend long.

Renu Bhatia
Founding Partner at SuperCharger Ltd

Renu is the founding partner of SuperCharger Ltd. SuperCharger is a dedicated Fintech accelerator in Hong Kong, with the goal of helping FinTech startups and financial technology companies leverage Hong Kong’s position as Asia’s finance and technology hub. Karen Farzam
Co-Founder at W Hub Ltd

Hailing from France, Karen Farzam, software engineer and former JP Morgan equity trader, moved to Hong Kong in 2010 and set her sights on the digital world.

Co-Founder of W Hub, a profile-driven platform that showcases the team behind the startup, W Hub lets startups share their company mission, products and current job openings. While startups can’t always offer the most attractive of compensation packages, they can provide perks such as flexibility, great work hours and the opportunity to make a positive impact on society.

Co-Founder of, a non-profit organization which inspires women to excel in careers in technology. Women Who Code’ gathers every month and serves as a source of inspiration to other women in tech, with varied topics every month, including in web development. ‘Women Who Code’ has informative talks, exciting hackathons and collaborative forums for women in tech to learn and share from one another.

David Rosa
Co-Founder & CEO at Neat

David is a FinTech entrepreneur. He is the CEO and Co-Founder of Neat, Asia’s alternative to a traditional bank account for startups and young SMEs.

David started his career at Citi where he became their youngest Managing Director in Asia. He then co-founded the Asian arm of Integral Capital Management which he sold in 2014 to focus on FinTech.

Throughout his career he has been exposed to the extremes of managing teams across times zones in complex corporate environments all the way to agile business development for startups and related pivots to find product-market-fit. David holds a BSc in Economics from the London School of Economics and is a Responsible Officer (Types 1, 4 and 9) under the Hong Kong SFC. David has been based in Hong Kong for the last 17 years

Working with the largest asset managers in the world to advise on APAC equity investment with a specialism in internet startups. Work closely with startup founders from across Asia to connect and empower them through the firm. Regular speaker at the conferences around the world focussing on Asian startups and emerging technology trends

Founder & CEO of Young Founders School, a non-profit seeking to change the way entrepreneurship is taught to high school students by way of a startup bootcamp and mentor programme. We are expanding around the world using cutting edge technology including machine learning to bring together the world's only global network of high school student entrepreneurs

Charles Lam
Fintech Lead at Cyberport

Mr Charles Lam is the FinTech Lead at Hong Kong Cyberport Management Company Limited and is responsible for formulating strategy, nurturing & supporting FinTech start-ups in Cyberport community to grow in terms of deal flow, valuation and business into mainland China and international markets.  Besides, he also initiates and leads FinTech programs to engage key stakeholders in FinTech ecosystems worldwide and to join the Cyberport community.

Mr. Charles has served in senior positions in a number of financial organizations. He lived and worked in Hong Kong from 1997 to 2018 holding senior management positions with Invesco and Ageas. Charles has participated and spoke at FinTech forums and conferences regularly to promote FinTech community in Hong Kong and also help young entrepreneurs with business plan workshops and mentorship.

Mr Charles Lam hold a BA in Economics & Communication from University of Simon Fraser.

Bianca Ho
Co-Founder and COO at Clare.AI

Bianca Ho is the Co-Founder and COO of Clare.AI.

Award winning Clare.AI builds industry-specific conversational digital assistant that understands 10+ Asian languages across multiple platforms. We empower enterprises to engage their customers in a natural and reliable way at-scale.

Bianca was formerly business development manager of Zendesk, responsible China market expansion. She worked closely with Zendesk’s executive team on developing and executing the strategy.

Musheer Ahmed
General Manager (interim) at Fintech Association of Hong Kong

Musheer is the General Manager of Fintech Association of Hong Kong. He has an extensive background in financial services and technology, having been a global markets trader for a decade, and a management consultant following his MBA.  He was a founding board member of Fintech Association of Hong Kong and is the board member incharge of Artificial Intelligence and Payments committee. In addition, he is a member of UN ESCAP Economic Sustainable Business Network (ESBN) Youth and Women Entrepreneurs Taskforce (YET).

Musheer has a keen interest in technologies impacting/disrupting investment banking such as blockchain, artificial intelligence, data analytics. He is a mentor and speaker at industry events in the region and guest lecturer on topics of Fintech, Investment Management, Cryptocurrency and blockchain, Artificial Intelligence at HKU, HKUST, HKU Space, CUHK and Lingnan University.  He has written blogs on Fintech and Investment Banking and been quoted in various media channels, including on CNBC, SCMP, Asian Investor, Lets Talk Payments.

Sam Ameen
Entrepreneur | Digital Marketer | Forbes Contributor

Sam Ameen is an entrepreneur and digital marketer. He helps startups scale using unique growth hacking & user acquisition strategies. He's the Head of Digital Marketing for Betatron (a startup accelerator providing seed funding and mentorship) and IC Studio (a startup incubator building the technology side of startups). He also covers Hong Kong startups for Forbes Magazine.

Ovidiu (Ovi) Olea
Founder and CEO at Valoot Technologies Limited (Valoot)

With over a decade of experience in cash management and foreign exchange, Ovi established Valoot in order to address the inefficiencies and lack of transparency involved with card purchases abroad.

Prior to setting up Valoot, Ovi worked in sales in transaction banking and foreign exchange in Hong Kong, London and Frankfurt with Citibank and HSBC.

Inspired by seeing a beggar in Shenzhen collecting donations over WeChat Pay, Ovi decided to pivot slightly and with the help of his amazing team managed to launch WeChat Pay in the UK in 2 months.

The next big project has been Valoot Pay, a multi-channel payment app enabling taxi drivers in Hong Kong to accept electronic payment. Alipay and WeChat Pay are already connected to Valoot Pay and other payment types will soon be added.

Originally from Romania, Ovi graduated from the University of St. Andrews in Scotland with a degree in International Relations and Economics.  Ovi has lived, studied and worked in various countries across the world including Japan, Belgium, Germany, the United Kingdom and Hong Kong.

Massimiliano (Max) Del Vita
Head of Product at Neat

Born Italian, I have spent my entire career working on mass market digital consumer platforms and products as product designer and product manager.

In the last 18 years I had the opportunity to live and work in Italy, Sweden, China, UK and I am now based in HK. My greatest passion is building technology products that have an impact in people's life from media to e-learning, online gaming, big data, health and now fintech.

Veronica Fung
Chief of Staff of Operations in APAC at Societe Generale

Veronica Fung is the, CEO and Co-Founder of FoundYou (, a social enterprise startup promoting financial inclusion, member of the board of Fintech Association of Hong Kong, member of the Hong Kong Maritime and Port Board.

Developing her career in financial industry as a young professional, she is now Chief of Staff of Operations APAC of Societe General. She is bringing her perspective of innovation and change from the financial sector to fintech, public sector and microfinance industry.

Frederick Ng
Analyst at Click Ventures

Frederick is currently an Analyst and Project Lead at Click Ventures, a Seed to series A global VC fund investing in start ups that accumulate digital assets. He is involved in all aspects of investment and operation at Click Ventures. Prior to Click Ventures he was a Fellow at Fresco Capital, a global education technology and health care VC. He began his career with the Institutional Sales team at Goldman Sachs advising APAC financial institutions on fund investments. As a blockchain enthusiast, Frederick has co-authored an Initial Coin Offering (ICO) guide to help start ups navigate the evolving ICO landscape, and adjudicated at global blockchain related start up competition. Frederick holds a BSc in Economics and Economics History from the London School of Economics and Political Science.

Igor Wos
Co-Founder & CTO at Neat

Igor Wos is the co-founder and CTO of Neat. He's ben listed in Forbes 30 under 30 and before joining Neat he founded and built TofuPay, an online payment system for the Asia region which won a competition sponsored by Google in Hong Kong and developed its platform in partnership with the Swire Group and DBS Bank amongst others. Tofupay was then acquired by Neat and as a Neat co-founder, Igor focuses on building our technology backbone using the latest scalable technology stack.

Igor holds a degree in Computer Science from King’s College London. After graduation he worked on an Algorithmic Trading Platform at the London Financial Computing Department of University College London. After UCL Igor joined Fidessa as a Technical Consultant developing platforms used by various 1-st tier banks. He was then posted to Hong Kong to enhance various banks front-office trading solutions.

SL Robert Liu
Founding Partner at Yintran (銀傳)

SL Robert Liu is the Founding Partner of Yintran (銀傳). Developed a HK e-wallet that allows anyone and any merchant to make and collect payment via internet-connect devices safely with privacy and bank-grade security.

Shandong decent, born in Taipei, raised in Tokyo and the US. Spent last 20+ years in Hong Kong. Engineering and banking for 20+ years in HK, NY, LA, and Silicon Valley.

Graduate of W&M (High Honors), Stanford (Engineering), UCLA (MBA). Yintran brings innovation in the e-wallet experience with focus on technology, security, design and innovation.

Gavin Yeung

Gavin is the Founder of Cryptomover. He is an experienced founder with a demonstrated history of working in the financial services industry. Maggie Luk
Assistant Vice President, Citi

Maggie is a banker at Citi Corporate Banking. She is responsible for reviewing corporate loan returns, project management, and strategic planning for Corporate Bank in Asia Pacific. Prior to that, she was a relationship manager at Citi for more than 5 years, covering local corporates and public sector clients. She specializes in credit analysis and financial modeling.

She has strong passion in building the startup ecosystem and fostering collaboration between startups, investors, and corporates. She has been working as a facilitator and organizer at Techstars Startup Weekend. She works with various counterparties and sponsors to promote entrepreneurship.
