Eric Chong
President & CEO, Siemens Ltd., Hong Kong & Macao

Eric Chong currently serves as the President  & CEO of Siemens Ltd. in Hong Kong & Macao. Focused on the areas of electrification, automation and digitalization, Mr. Chong leads Siemens’ overall strategy, as well as driving infrastructure projects and sustainable solutions in the field of energy, healthcare, buildings, power distribution and industry for Hong Kong & Macao.

Mr. Chong is a member of the Board of Directors of Business Environment Council (BEC) and is serving as the Chair of Climate Change Business Forum, an advisory group under BEC dedicated to raising awareness of Climate Change among businesses. He is also member of the HKTDC Electronics / Electrical Appliances Industries Advisory Committee since 2015.


Rex Sham
Founder and Chief Science Officer of Insight Robotics Ltd

Rex Sham is Co-Founder and Chief Analyst of Insight Robotics where he is responsible for technology and innovation strategy and leads the company’s engineering teams. He has also prototyped hardware and software solutions for Insight Robotics’ current core technologies and co-authored two patents. 

Prior to Insight Robotics, Rex had extensive experience in the field, undertaking research on the topic at Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) and Hong Kong University and developing Hong Kong Robot, a popular robotics interest website. He received a B.S. in Computer Science from CUHK.


Bay McLaughlin
Co-founder of Brinc

Bay is a co-founder of Brinc, a global IoT accelerator and platform based in Hong Kong with offices in Shenzhen and Guangzhou. Having spent half of his career in or founding startups, he now brings his experience and operations abilities to connect the dots from Asia to Silicon Valley for IoT companies from around the world.

As a founding team member of Apple’s global SMB channel and founder of their first Entrepreneurship Evangelism channel, Bay has partnered with the world’s best founders, venture capitalists, and accelerators to identify and solve their most pressing strategic issues. With 8 software and 11 hardware portfolio holdings, he’s successfully made the transition from digital to physical and from San Francisco to Asia.

As a regular mentor for Chinaccelerator, the Thiel Foundation, and other startup ecosystems in Asia, Bay is passionate about investing in founders with a global vision. He speaks regularly at conferences, most recently at Web Summit, Echelon, RISE and LAUNCH, Hong Kong’s inaugural consumer IoT Summit.



Winnie Tang
Co-Founder, eHealth Consortium

With a PhD in Science from the University of Hong Kong, Dr. Winnie Tang JP belongs to the locally-bred IT entrepreneur of Hong Kong. She is the pioneer in bringing the Geographic Information System (GIS) technology to benefit the public and private sectors in Hong Kong. Over the years, she has been actively advocating the use of technology in various sectors including environmental conservation, education and healthcare for a better Hong Kong. 

Dr. Tang is the Founder and Chairman of Esri China (Hong Kong) Limited, one of the international offices of Esri. Esri is the top 50 software companies in the world; it is expert in Geographic Information System (GIS) technology which is extensively adopted in both public and private sectors across the globe. Over the years, she has published 6 Chinese and English books and over 200 research papers, newspaper articles and journals to dedicatedly promote ICT knowledge, applications and share her views regarding smart city and entrepreneurship. 

Dr. Tang has been serving various roles in the government advisory boards and non-governmental organizations to encourage the social and technological developments. Some of her current major appointments include Member of Election Committee (IT Subsector); Member of Antiquities Advisory Board; Chairman of Kwai Tsing District Youth Program Committee of the Hong Kong Special Administration Region Government; Advisor of Our Hong Kong Foundation; Co-Founder of eHealth Consortium; Governor of HL7 Hong Kong; Member of Computer Science Advisory Committee, Department of Computer Science, HKU; Advisory Member of The Hong Kong Society for Rehabilitation; Member of Advisory Committee on ICT Development of The Hong Kong Society for the Aged ; and Founder and Chairman of the Conservation E3 Foundation, etc. 

In recognition of Dr. Tang's outstanding achievements and contributions in promoting the development of ICT and social innovation, she has been awarded the Distinguished Alumni for HKU Faculty of Science in 2009, the Ten Outstanding Young Persons in 2006, the Women of Influence – Young Achiever of the Year Award by the American Chamber of Commerce in 2004, and the Ten Outstanding Young Digi Persons Selection in 2001.


Sheelpa Patel
Senior Manager, INFINITI LAB Global Business Transformation & Brand

Sheelpa leads the INFINITI LAB, a transformational platform connecting entrepreneurs with the Smart Cities & IOT ecosystem. The INFINITI LAB includes the first automotive brand accelerator in Hong Kong, now scaling globally. She oversees marketing & partnership efforts to attract the best startup talent from around the world, including participating in the selection process. Sheelpa proactively integrates startups into the business, enabling visibility and access to relevant subject matter experts. This has resulted in a global stage for Smart Cities & IOT founders to raise their profile and secure investment.

Sheelpa’s global marketing career has spanned Europe, the USA, Japan and Australia where she managed high profile sponsorship campaigns at the Olympic Games, FIFA World Cup and for American Express.

Jens-Peter Brauner
Vice President, Mobility, Siemens Ltd., Hong Kong & Macao

Peter is a developer by heart. Starting with the development of micro computer systems more then 25 year ago, he became responsible for business development later on. Now, as the Head of the Mobility Division in Siemens Hong Kong, he is developing the local organization – focusing on teams and projects. He earned degrees in electrical engineering and economic psychology, because for him, technology and people belong together, especially when it comes to new ventures.

By living and working throughout Europe, America and Asia, he became passionate about leveraging cultural synergies for the development of disprutive innovations.
As an expert in the transportation sector, Peter is motivated by solving one of the biggest problems of urban life. Holding patents by himself, he is always looking for bright ideas and supports talents and their visions. And still today he is playing with latest technologies and is developing apps by himself, just for fun…


Anna Choi
Head of Strategy & Communications, Siemens Ltd., Hong Kong & Macao

Anna is in-charge of corporate strategy and communications for the technology powerhouse Siemens. She works with different city stakeholders and the Global Centre of Competence at London on Smart City planning, innovations and sustainability initiatives. She is also driving the company digitalization strategy and helping the company to position as a digital company.

Anna is passionate in digitalization and smart city. Aspires to make city smart, intelligent and digitalized and improve human conditions with technology, she is a strong advocate in technology adoption and an active member in sustainability and communications communities. She was a delegate at “One Young World 2015” - the “World Economic Forum of the youth” addressing pressing issues for mankind and was named one of the 40 most impressive marketing professionals under 40 by Campaign Asia in 2015.


Keith Wong
Section Manager - Low Voltage & Products, Digital Grid, Siemens Ltd. Hong Kong & Macao

Keith has over 8 years of Electrical Engineering experience, including protection, control automation, product life cycle management, HV power plant maintenance and Smart Grid Technology, with managing 10+ professional engineers and subcontractors teams. He is currently the Section Manager of Digital Grid, Low Voltage & Product of Siemens Ltd. He is in-charge for the world largest Condition Monitoring Systems project, and various protection and automation system projects in HK and Macau. He is also experienced in tendering and managing the budgets for electrical projects.


Henry Tan

Guillermo Ginesta
Manager at INFINITI LAB

Guillermo has  over 10 years’ experience in Innovation and Digital Transformation. He’s worked with a number of startups as an advisor/consultant and with large corporations and multinationals pushing innovation and driving digital strategies. He currently runs the INFINITI LAB Accelerator program globally. Past experience includes INFINITI Motors, Oregon Scientific, Speedo, Lacoste, Ted Baker, Cosme De Net, as well as sitting on the Board of Directors for the Chilean Chamber of Commerce and being on the Advisory Board of a number of not-for-profit organisations, like AARAMBH India. He has worked with over 50+ startups and is an active Angel Investor. Guillermo has a BSc in Management (hons) and a Masters’ degree, MSc Marketing & Strategy, all from the University of Warwick. When not found working with startups and founders, he can be seen hiking around Hong Kong with his crazy dog.



William Liang
Director / Adjunct Assistant Professor / Co-founder, Idea Mill Limited / PolyU SD / Dim Sum Labs (hackerspace)

William spent 12 years in Silicon Valley and started his career on Wall Street. He worked for several venture backed Internet startups including Tellme, which was successfully acquired by Microsoft.
He holds a B.S. Engineering degree from Swarthmore College and a Ph.D. from University of Pennsylvania in Systems Engineering.
He is an adjunct assistant professor at the School of Design of HK Polytechnic University, instructor for the Gifted and Talented Program at the Chinese University, founder of Idea Mill Ltd. and Dim Sum Labs, advisor to Floship Ltd., Jobdoh.com, IU travel, and 巧克力(深圳)科技有限公司.
He also acts as mentor and judge at several entrepreneurship organisations such as PolyU micro fund, Chinese U+Google EYE, Startup Weekend, Bootcamp/AcceleratorHK, and StartLab.


Kin Kung
Quality & Safety Manager - Mobility, Siemens Ltd., Hong Kong & Macao

Kin is in-charge of the Quality, Environmental, Health & Safety and System Assurance activities for the Mobility Division in HK. He also facilitates and organizes small young engineer group on special activities within the division. For the past 20 years, Kin has completed numerous projects on power distribution, lighting, communications systems in hospital, railway, ferry terminals, commercial and industrial facilities. 


Edwin Sezto
Senior Project Manager, Mobility, Siemens Ltd., Hong Kong & Macao

Edwin has recently joined Siemens to support a number of railway communications projects. Edwin is a self-motivated team leader with 20+ years technical engineering, project management, equipment site implementation and international carrier network operations experience in Asia Pacific region in the field of Telecommunications plus many years of railway communications project works in Hong Kong as well.

He has strong project management skills with a unique customer focus mindset in order to succeed collectively among internal teams, external teams and vendors/partners alike for network infrastructure implementation works under committed timeframe and within budget.  He is motivated with strong willingness and initiatives to achieve positive results that are timely, customer focused, economically and morally sound, and supportive of the team’s, organization’s and company’s key metrics and objectives.


Eddie Tam
Project Manager, Mobility, Siemens Ltd., Hong Kong & Macao

Eddie has over 15 years of Railway Project experience, focusing on Communications projects. He is currently the project manager of the Express Rail Link (largest scale Railway Project) Communications System Project consists of 21 subsystems.  He has started his career as an engineer in Siemens from West Rail Project, to Ma On Shan Line, Lok Ma Chau Rail Project, and Kowloon Southern Link Project.

Eddie is passionate in developing youths’ potentials, believing that with good attitude, everyone can change the world.

Firm believer in Startup Weekend’s motto “All Action, No Talk”, Matthieu has been organising these events in Hong Kong since 2012. It aims at creating the perfect context for total strangers to create a startup within 54 hours.
