Startup Weekend es un evento intenso de 54 horas en el que personas apasionadas de varios perfiles (principalmente desarrolladores de software, diseñadores gráficos y gente de negocios) se reúnen en equipos alrededor de una idea con el potencial de convertirse en una empresa basada en internet.Startup weekend es una oportunidad perfecta para hacer realidad una idea en internet, aprender en tiempo récord sobre las etapas necesarias para formar una empresa en internet y establecer contactos fundamentales con otros profesionales de la industria.

Teams start forming and discussing ideas

Begin Work
Start to formalize teams and take an inventory of skills. Be honest, and direct about what resources and skills are needed for the weekend. You may stay and work as late as the venue will allow

My name is Eddie Arrieta, and I am an entrepreneur and marketing consultant.

My entrepreneurial ventures began at an early age, when I sold chocolates on demand to help purchase soccer gear. At the age of 16 I moved to the United Kingdom, followed by the United States where I finished university. I then led and participated in humanitarian projects around the world, including in China, India, and Trinidad and Tobago.

Today I live in Medellín, Colombia, considered to be one of the most innovative cities in the world. Here I co-founded ESPACIO, a co-working space with the goal of furthering entrepreneurship in Medellin.

I am also a Partner at Publicize, which is a PR firm focused on startups. Publicize has been featured on The Financial Times, Bloomberg Magazine, and other leading publications.
