What is Startup Weekend Brno #3?

Startup Weekend Brno is a 54-hour event where participants present ideas (pitch) for new startup companies, form teams around those ideas and launch a real startup in 54 hours.

What is Startup Weekend?

Startup Weekend is a global 54-hour entrepreneurial exciting event where developers, designers, marketers, product managers, startup enthusiasts come together to share ideas, form teams build products and launch startups.

After two successful Startup Weekend events in Brno with over 60 participants15 startup projects, experienced mentors & judges, the event is coming back in June (9-11).

Coaches and Mentors


Lukáš Košut
Associate Manager at KPMG

Lukas has been working with KPMG Czech Republic, a
provider of advisory, audit and tax services, for nine years. He
graduated from Faculty of Economics and Administration at Masaryk
University in Brno and is a member of the British Association of
Chartered Certi ed Accountants. His audit clients comprise
international corporations as well as local companies, including
start-ups. He is a Associate Manager in KPMG’s Brno.
 


Michal Čermák
Co-founder at Quickshirt

Michal is co-founder of QuickShirt.cz, whose goal is to simplify and speed up the order of customized clothing, no matter if you needt 1 or 1000 pieces. The website also enables to any person, company or nonprofit organization to sell online the customized clothing easily and without cost so they can focus on design and advertising. The rest handles QuickShirt.cz – production, storage, payments and also distribution. Michal takes care of marketing, business and product development, but he also deals with customers on a daily basis.



Lukáš Nevosád
CEO at Sygic Travel

 Lukas started his career as a freelance developer and in addition to information technology, he also studied business management and E-commerce. He has more than 10 years experience with strategic management and business models online. 


Philipp Etzlinger
Co-founder and CEO at uugot.it

From blue collar worker to executive – Philipp was a school dropout but realized quickly that only an exceptional qualification can bring one in the lead. So besides working fulltime he graduated at commercial college and on top of that he studied and did his master in Finance. Before he became a serial entrepreneur with strong financial background he worked for more than 10 years in different leading financial positions including ExxonMobil, ÖVAG and Deloitte. Due to the lack of services that surrounded Philipp, he decided to leave the current career path and started his first startup TarifAgent in 2008. From that time on there was no doubt: Being an entrepreneur rocks! Philipp has made a lot of experiences with national and international teams, led blended and remote teams, successfully ran a crowdfunding campaign and his current startup uugot.it – ‘learning languages while watching TV’ has been awarded multiple times although they have not yet launched. Get him to know when it comes to business models, forming the right team and how to get the story out.


Max Jabłoński
Entrepreneur | Mentor | Human

He started his adventure in business long time ago in a far galaxy. He runs projects either in Europe or Africa. From the very start his company Connectionpoint builds bridges among people to create new social and business opportunities. Together with his business partner and friend Mohammed Tsaalbi they launched the Connection Point Africa in Tunisia to help European and African entities to work together. They supported the big contest of business plans organized by Afican Hope Association (Morocco) together with big Polish telecom cluster E-poludnie. He is big fan of Koplac. He knows the impossible is nothing but sometimes it hurts seriously. Marcin loves art, chess, judo and sailing. He worked in theatres and radios too. So stay tuned!


Romina Kohei
Co-founder of GliderPath

Romina is a Project Management Consultant. She helps small business owners and entrepreneurs streamline their businesses for growth by applying project management strategies. She is also the co-founder of GliderPath Limited, a startup company currently offering 3 different products: - GliderPath Translation Management System, our flagship product, is a SaaS solution that helps translation companies owners run and grow their business,  - GliderPath Consultancy,  a tailored service aiming at finding and addressing business and process breakdowns, assisting with optimization and providing done-for-you solutions,  - and  GliderPath Academy, an online learning platform for project managers, small business owners, freelancers and solopreneurs.  She also created Cool Project Management, a blog focused on tips and advice to help people get started in project management, leadership and entrepreneurship. 


Martin Jansa
Engineering Consultant & Coach

Martin's whole career is focused on making software. Graduated at FIT VUT Brno, during his studies participated a one year trainee program at Nokia Networks and then joined Grisoft, Brno based startup that later became AVG Technologies, and spend nearly 15 years in both technical and managerial positions. Since he left the corporate a year ago he has been working with startups to help them to succeed with their products by aligning them to their business needs. Martin is the Agile and Scrum enthusiast and can help the team to distill the idea into the product value proposition and validate it quickly to start the implementation.


Juraj Zambrovsky
Business Developer

Juraj Zamborsky is currently working as a sales and business developer at Kontentino, intuitive social media tool for streamlining the whole content creation and approval workflow. Recently started a small crowdfunding campaign on planning diary The Žurnál. He has many experiences with Startup Weekend, as he was part of 2 winning teams and mentored teams during last Startup Weekend in Prague as well. Juraj can helps you with go-to-market strategies, marketing as well as preparation of your elevator pitch. 


Martin Halla
Founder at Learn2Play

Martin Halla is one of two creators of Learn 2 play project.
Goal of Learn 2 play is to show people, that playing computer games is not a waste of time and that games can be really useful tool for personal and team development. 

Learn 2 play organizes gaming events, tournaments and is providing personal and team development sessions for teams and individuals.


Vadym Melnyk
CEO & Founder at Cervi Robotics

He is the Founder & CEO at Cervi Robotics. He is also a co-founder at Servo Code & Chief of Unicorn Division at Microsoft. His main areas of interest are Robotics, Agile Software Development, Business optimisation & bioinformatics.
