Technology created a lot of space for improvement in communication. Do you have an idea what to do about do it? Attend Startup Weekend Prague and make it happened. SW is a great platform for meeting new people, building and launching new products.  Startup Weekend Prague – Communication #SWPrague brings together people of all skill sets and experience levels to reimagine the future of communication at any kind of level. In between people, machines, interaction of people and machines, communication of brands, you name it :). Over the course of this action-oriented weekend, you will be able to design solutions, tools, and learning spaces to address public services most pressing issues and turn an idea into a startup/solution in just 54 hours.  At #SWPrague you will be able to connect with business professionals, designers, students, developers, and domain experts (speakers, IoT experts, yes we think communication can happen in between machines as well) to conceptualize and build viable products, services, and solutions that can revolutionize the ways in which we interact with each other, machines..we communicate. Join us to explore how innovation can disrupt inequities in communication. 

What do you need to bring?
  Lots of energy! You'll pitch your own idea or listen to others, then vote on the most interesting ideas and form teams with diverse skill sets. You can come with friends, but you’ll get the full experience if you participate in separate teams. Remember, it’s all about the team.   Your idea should be something you have not previously worked on. The idea you pitch and the problem you set out to solve can span social, educational, financial, environmental, or other issues. Over the course of the weekend you'll be challenged to create a prototype of your MVP, or minimum viable product, that fits the needs of your target customer. You'll get feedback, iterate, and likely pivot your approach entirely! Important: You cannot have worked previously on your idea.   Techstars Startup Weekend is a full weekend long experience. Martina Bláhová
COO at makeITtoday

Martina has 10+ years of project management and business development experience. She has been in the startup ecosystem for the past 6+ years; helping various projects to "create a better world" at Impact Hub Praha or leading a global community program for Google. 
As COO of makeITtoday, she is making sure that kids and youth in the Czech Republic have the much needed digital and soft skills to be successful in the 21st-century global job market.

Lukáš Hrdlička
Pitch Coach & TEDx Speaker

Lukas makes people great presenters. Founded, trained hundreds of people within Fortune500 corporations like Microsoft, Konica MInolta, UniCredit Bank and coached speakers for international conferences and competitions taking place in North America, Europe and Asia. He shared his story on TEDxEAL event in Denmark and created online courses with more than 15 000 satisfied participants.

Aleks Bozhinov
Mentor in marketing

Aleks Bozhinov has over 8 years of experience in Digital Marketing, Online Sales and Growthacking. In the past, Aleks had launched startups in the ecommerce, hydroponics and crowdsourcing sectors, raising several million USD via crowdfunding, Initial Coin Offering, angel and VC investments. He worked as a Business Development lead at Google and helped hundreds of businesses be successful online. For the last 3 years, Aleks is passionate about how blockchain can change societal order and decentralise wealth. Marketing & Love

Pavlína is a marketing and business consultant. She is a Lead Mentor in Google Developers Launchpad and a Strategist in technology studio manGoweb. 6 years ago she founded #HolkyzMarketingu, a female empowerment community for marketing professionals which currently unites 18 000+ women. She is a Transparency International Board member. She was selected to Aspen Institute Young Leaders Program (2017), YTILI Fellowship (2018) and Czech-German Young Professionals Program (2019).

Michal Koran
Founder of Global Arena Research Institute

Michal Kořan is the President of the Board of the Global Arena Research Institute and the former Deputy Director of the Aspen Institute Central Europe. Until June 2017, he was a Senior Research Fellow at the Institute of International Relations based in Prague (Czech Republic) where he previously acted as a Deputy Director (2013 – 2016) and a Head of Research (2009 – 2013). He is also an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Social Sciences, Masaryk University in Brno, where he received his Ph.D. in 2008. In 2012 he was a Fulbright Visiting Scholar at the Weatherhead Center for International Affairs at the Harvard University. He focuses on foreign policy analysis of the Central European countries, Central European sub-regional cooperation and Central Europe in European and World Affairs and in Trans-Atlantic Relations. He is the lead-author of an annual book analysing Czech foreign policy and founder and programme chair of an annual International Symposium Czech Foreign Policy. In 2013 – 2014 he was a vice-chairman of the Programme Council of the Czech-Polish Forum. He was a main coordinator of the Strategic Grant of the International Visegrad Fund

Andrej Petrus
Investment Manager at ZAKA

Andrej is an investment manager in venture capital investment firm ZAKA, focusing on CEE start-ups in their early stages (pre-seed and seed). He is also a project manager of SLOVCA - Slovak Venture Capital and Private Equity Association. In the past, he worked in M&A and strategic consulting for Big4, as well as in the field of venture building.

Zuzana Zahorova

Zuzana is a marketing consultant currently working as a Client Partner at Facebook, working in direct relationship with key clients in Czech Republic & Slovakia, consulting their communication strategically across Facebook platforms.  Zuzana comes from the background of GroupM media agencies- she started her career in London as a performance specialist for the telco segment, later moved to Mindshare as an online video planner for Unilever. After relocating to Prague, she joined the digital team over at Wavemaker media agency, where she looked after digital strategy and media innovation for clients like Vodafone, Asahi, Beiersdorf and Jaguar land Rover.

Peter Chrenko
Partner at PwC

Peter is a Partner in PwC focusing on Tax Function and Tax Administration of the Future and improving organisational performance through enhancing motivation and engagement of employees through organisational culture, user experience and technology. Before joining PwC he was a Deputy minister of Finance who introduced the concept of Single revenue agency (JIM) new Income tax code (customised for individual taxpayers) and Large taxpayers office.

Alina Friedrichs
Co-founder of Jesango

Alina has five years of experience in building up the Mynd from 3 up to 100 employees as Head of Production and People & Culture. She loves to set up teams, structures and processes and is fascinated by the idea of creating meaningful workplaces. Alina brings in experience in new work, operations, leadership and business development. Before Mynd she was working as project manager for the Deutsche Bank Art Collection. She just started her own Startup for fair & sustainable fashion.

Matej Bacovsky
CEO & Co-owner at Wings4U

Matej is co-owner and CEO at Wings4U, a global B2B digital marketing agency helping brands to grow their impact and revenue through the storytelling of success. He is leading an international team of marketing and creative minds, driving innovation, supporting new business development, and nurturing the company remote culture. Before Wings4U, he founded and co-founded several agencies under the brand of Bioport (creative, social media, native mobile app development). Throughout his entrepreneurial journey, he had a chance to explore many different roles and got through countless business opportunities and challenges. Michaela Fiasová
Art Director & Brand Designer

An Art Director, Designer, Strategist and Consultant with the entrepreneurial spirit. With more than 6 years of experience in the design business field, she helps brands uncover deep insights about themselves and help them share inspiring stories. She has worked with brands of all sizes to develop successful strategies which help launch new products, services and experiences into the world.

Jernej Dekleva
Program Manager @ InnoPeaks

Jernej is originally from Slovenia and has recently relocated from Denmark to Switzerland. After working at Y Combinator backed startup, he joined an accelerator as Program Manager at InnoPeaks, where he is helping entrepreneurs scale the next generation of healthtech and insurtech companies. He attended his first Startup Weekend in 2012 and he is an organizer and facilitator of Startup Weekend since 2014.

Jernej was a lead organizer at Europe's first ever Startup Weekend Mega. A Startup Weekend with 4 tracks: Smart City&IoT, Healthcare, Media and Services running simultaneously at same venue over a weekend. By this date it's Europe's biggest Startup Weekend with 300+ attendees. 

Michal Smetana
Lead Product Manager at Pipedrive

Michal Smetana is an experienced product leader and advisor, currently helping Pipedrive as a Lead Product Manager. Before joining Pipedrive, Michal has held product roles at Socialbakers, Mladá fronta or STRV, as well as helping many startups jump-starting their ideas and businesses from the role of a product consultant. 

Having helped dozens of companies and startups from both Silicon Valley and Europe, Michal can help you with identifying the right problems to solve, product-market fit, as well as the overall business and product strategy.

Daniel Hejl
Founder & CTO at productboard

Daniel is a founder and CTO at productboard - a product management platform that helps discover and prioritise features people really want. He spent years talking to product managers and startup founders across the globe to learn the best practices for user research, market segmentation and how to develop a winning product strategy. Prior to that, Daniel worked at Silicon Valley startups as well as Czech corporations, including Česká spořitelna, where he led the development of an award winning enterprise social network.

He's currently working with the startup Lafluence on revolutionizing influencer marketing in Central & Eastern Europe, organizing iflix Tech Talks & the Startup Weekend in Prague.
