Nicolaj Bang
CEO & Co-founder GlobalCoin

Nicolai Bang and his co-founder joined Startup Weekend Aarhus in April 2012 and developed the idea of GloalCoin. GlobalCoin ApS automatically handles travellers forreign currency in the airport and transfers it directly to the users account.   As it is a financial sector startup it takes years to fit the solution to a hefty set of regulations, to identify the right partners and to find the right backend technologies.

Hear Nicolai tell about the exiting process from Startup Weekend Aarhus to startup and get exited for what the future might hold for you after an exiting Startup Weekend 2016.


Adrian Solgaard
CEO and Founder LifePack

Adrian the Canadian has lived in 7 countries and created 3 businesses. At 18 he was promoted to be the head editor of a nationally aired TV show in Canada, then at 23 he started a creative agency doing branding and marketing – bored of client work he launched Interlock on Kickstarter in 2013, ran the business for 3 years including attracting 2 investors on board. This year he launched Lifepack which has raised over 1.1million USD via crowdfunding.

Crowdfunding expert and CEO of Booomerang.dk

As the CEO of the crowdfunding platform Booomerang.dk and co-founder of Dansk Crowdfunding Forening Michael Eis has a vast experience with startups and business models. 

For the winning team Michael Eis will be looking for a great, scaleable business model with a (crowdfunding) twist.


Mads Henriksen
Former Vice Chairman DJØF and DJØF Privat & CFO Brandtex

Mads Henriksen holds a MBA and has almost 20 years of experience with financial controlling and strategic planning. He is currently the CFO of Brandtex, one of the largest suppliers of womens fashion in Scandinavia.
 
For the winning team Mads Henriksen will be looking for economic potential and strategic considerations.


Mai Louise Agerskov
Managing Director, INCUBA

Mai Louise Agerskov is the managing director of INCUBA, vice chairman at Astra and member of the board at Business Academy Aarhus. With a background as M.Sc. in engineering and 10+ years of CEO experience from technological growth companies, she represents both technological innovation and business development. 

For the winning team, Mai Louise Agerskov will be looking for a combination of a scalable business model based on documented market potential and a team that has the necessary drive to make it real.


Anette Nørgaard
Microsoft Partners, Bizspark and Dreamspark

Anette started her career by developing applications on mainframes, converting these to PC applications. She got into the world of XAL, Axapta and ended up at Oracle before starting a business with Microsoft. Since 2010 she has been working with small and medium companies through Microsoft BizSpark and DreamSpark. With a wide set of expertise from technical areas as cloud computing and SQLserver to business development and startups. 


Coaches and Mentors


Sussi Bianco Nielsen
CEO at the Consultancy of Sussi Bianco.

Sussi Bianco is a member of Nordic Tech Advocates and chairman of the board in WeLoveStartups. With a broad knowledge she specializes in Health, Innovation and Entrepreneurship, often collaborating with municipalities and other public partners. Since 2013 she has run CareWare: a national competition in welfare innovation - forming a Health Startup Community and developing an accelerator program. She facilitates hands-on innovation / business development and facilitate innovation camps and processes. Sussi is an experienced member of the finalist jury in several national competitions in entrepreneurship. “I build communities and develop concepts leading to action. I am never more happy than when I get the chance to act as a catalyst for creating value for people and in society. Fortunately my work life enables me to do both” My motto: Be ambitious. Work hard. Have fun.


Lasse Chor
CEO of Happy 42 - Entrepreneur and Investor

Lasse Chor is a Danish entrepreneur who founded his first company at the age of 13-years-old. Since then he's been heavily involved in the Danish and global entrepreneurship ecosystem.
Through his current company 
http://happy42.dk/, Lasse is currently mentor for a number of startups around the world, and advisor to a handful of large corporations including some Fortune 500 companies. Bonus info is that Lasse’s mom thinks that he’s is the best son in the world.


Gyda Bay

Gyda Bay is the chief of innovation at Future Food Innovation. Amongst other activities Future Food Innovation can potentially invest in innovative food startups. 
Future Food Innovation is an innovative environment, where knowledge, business and users come together to develop new and innovative products or technologies to create growth and jobs in Central Region Denmark.


Johan Frederik Schjødt
CEO & Co-founder

As the CEO of the Danish Startup AutoUncle, Johan relies on his creative business mind and speciality in creating simple and user friendly online tools leveraged by vast amounts of data. His specialties are strategy, data mining, online business models, idea development.

AutoUncle is a platform that creates transparency by valuating the market price of used cars for sale. The valuation is based on an algorithm that automatically scans every advert for up to a 100 different factual informations, which have an impact on the market price.


Thomas Mollerup Lanng
CMO Apidemia & Mentor WeLoveStartups

As the Chief Marketing Officer of Apidemia, Thomas helps customers grow and scale their companies as part of the digital economy, building on his business advisory and technical background.

Apidemia is a software consulting and development company dedicated to excellence and the good use of technology. 

Thomas is active in the startup environment through different communities such as Venture Cup, where he is a mentor and judge of exciting new startups from all over the world from industries such as CleanTech, FinTech, and social ventures. Strategy and Innovation management are some of the areas which he believes can help companies make can make a tangible difference in our society. His passion is to see startups succeed and contribute amazing things to society as a whole and the economy.


Daniel Laursen
Founder at Trendsonline.dk and co-founder TechBBQ

Daniel Laursen is a driven and percistent entrepreneur with a mission in life - to give tech-startups a much better chance for international success. 

He is the founder of Trendsonline.dk, Startuponline.dk, Startupstamp.com and co-founder of TechBBQ, NordicGameBits and NordicStartupBits.


Sven Philipsen
CIO Vindenergi Danmark

For the last ten years, Sven Philipsen have been working in various areas within Business Development and Innovation, with Front-end & Back-end Web Development and Project Management as my specialties.

Concurrently he has been working freelance helping students, companies and start-ups with Development, Teaching, Webdesign, SEO, Web Analytics and Social Media Marketing.


Serena Leka
Regional Manager

Serena Leka is an entrepreneurial educator for University students since 2012. 

She is a trainer, certified from CEFE  International (Competency-base Economies through Formation of Enterprise). Her main focus falls under Digital Innovation, Social Entrepreneurship, and Education. 

Serena Leka has an international involvement toward issues affecting youngsters like Youth Participation, Global Citizenship Education, the Future of Financial sector, and so forth, very diverse. Lately, she has been granted a trip to The Hive Global Leaders Program, an immersive networking event on leadership, entrepreneurship, and innovation for purpose-driven leaders held at the Innovation Hangar at the Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco, December 2016. Despite the hard work, she is known as great laughter and always with a joke always ready.


Pernille Hjortkær
CEO and Business Anthropologist PE3A

Pernille Hjortkær and her company PE3A consults with competencies to help them create value through the tools and methods of anthropology applied in business contexts.

Pernille Hjortkær is a professional board member and passionate about coaching startups though the first growth stages, as well as motivating more women to become entrepreneurs.

Pernille has been self-employed for 5 years. As a mentor for Startup Weekend Aarhus she will help the groups design and validate ideas with users and customers, as well as reflect on the business potential of the idea.


Mogens Thomsen
CEO Thomsen Business Information

Mogens Thomsen is an entrepreneurship expert whos practical knowledge is transformed into teaching, counseling and other forms of knowledge dissemination.

In his company, Thomsen Business Information he advises entrepreneurs based on his large experience with startups, which has also lead to multiple publications.

Mogens Thomsen has a special love of social enterprises, as he was the chairman and manager in the Danish fair trade organizations “Import from Development Countries” and Fair Trade Labeling Denmark for over 10 years.

Corporate Startup Guy // Innovation Catalyst at DNB

Vegard Jørmeland is part of the so-called Startup Weekend Generation - a group of young entrepreneurs and community leaders who started their careers at Startup Weekend!

By day he serves as Innovation Catalyst at one of Northern Europe's largest banks. By night he serves the community as organiser of events such as Startup Weekend, Lean Startup Circle, Startup Grind and others.

Vegard says "It is all about the people! To me Startup Weekend is not as much about building Startups as it is about building Entrepreneurs.
