Startup Weekend Finance Copenhagen

54 hours packed with entrepreneurial minds and focus on FinTech.

Does disrupting finance sounds like fun?
Are you interested in startups and entrepreneurship?

Then we have put together a great weekend for you. You don't need to have a background in finance and it's not obligatory to pitch an idea on Friday evening. That's why we have mentors for you coming on Saturday to help you with an idea and give you an input on your concept. What you need to have is a desire to learn, time to be present throughout the weekend and be willing to meet new people :) 

Join other enthusiast for a weekend of networking, learning, mentoring and lot of great experiences. 

Back in 2012 Copenhagen was the first city to host a Startup Weekend Finance, now we are doing it again and you are invited to join.

Workshop is going to be held in English.

Students - enjoy the discount: 250 DKK (limited amount!) - Sunday dinner included 
Non-student ticket: 450 DKK - Sunday dinner included.

Arrive at the venue and get checked in

Review agenda for the weekend and introduce speakers, coaches, and community leaders


6:30 pm
Dinner & Networking
Eat food, share ideas, practice pitches, get to know fellow participants. The dinner is provided by FinansForbundet.


7:30 pm
Pitches Start
Optionally line up to give your pitch


9:00 pm
Voting
Attendees vote for the top pitches


9:15 pm
Form Teams
Teams start forming and discussing ideas


10:00 pm
Begin Work
Start to formalize teams and take an inventory of skills. Be honest, and direct about what resources and skills are needed for the weekend. You may stay and work as late as the venue will allow

Alistair Shepherd started his second company, Saberr, at a startup weekend in Seattle two years ago and it's still going strong! He's also a Global Scholar and Fellow of the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation, a Startup Weekend Facilitator and Research Fellow, an Engineering Researcher and Entrepreneur in Residence at the University of Southampton, a guest lecturer at the Universities of Bristol, Exeter and Southampton and is also the Chairman of the Board for the Student Kitesurfing Association.
