Form Teams
Teams start forming and discussing ideas

Begin Work
Start to formalize teams and take an inventory of skills. Be honest, and direct about what resources and skills are needed for the weekend. You may stay and work as late as the venue will allow

Charlotte Appelgren
General Secretary

M. Sc., General Secretary of Cine-Regio since 2006 author of The Fine Art of Co-producing (2002, 2007, 2010), board member of (online news), on the European AV Observatory’s advisory committee and in the European Commission’s digital film expert groups. Business & marketing studies in USA, Singapore, Ireland. Completed the WIPO workshop for Mediators in Intellectual Property Disputes, Geneva.  She has previously worked at Merlin Films production (IR), MEDIA Desk DK, Festival Manager for the Danish Film Institute and at two Danish production companies. CineRegio is based in Brussels and is representing the interest of 43 film funds in Europe from 16 countries with a total funding capital of EUR 165 million. 

Johannes Ivarsson
Manager at THINK Accelerate

Johannes Ivarsson has extensive sales experience, both as an entrepreneur and as the CEO of a fast growing technology-focused management consulting agency in southern Sweden. Johannes’ main interest lies in the intersection of design, business and technology. Johannes holds a M.Sc in Industrial Engineering and Management and is a co-founder and manager of the THINK Accelerate program in Helsingborg, Sweden. 

Coaches and Mentors

Michael Bach Nielsen

Michael Bach Nielsen is a mentor at Startup Weekend Oresund with a background in  Finance from both Asset Management and Investment Banking in the UK and Denmark. He has a keen interest in entrepreneurship as an investor and has a global network of contacts within the entrepreneurial sphere across the globe. Michael has an M.Sc. in Economics from the University of Copenhagen and an Executive MBA from INSEAD.

Karsten Deppert

Karsten Deppert is an german born entrepreneur living in the Nordics. He is involve both in the startups Contentor and Motiomera, as well as being a mentor at Think Accelerator and the E-commerce Incubator, as well as being the initiator of

Fredrik Westman
Co-founder and Owner of Sensa8ve

Fredrik is one of the co‐founders and owners of Sensa8ve. He is studying both nursing and economics at Lund University but has taken a break from school when he met Anders and Mats in order to get Sensa8ve of the     ground! At Sensa8ve Fredrik is responsible for the sales & marketing, business development and preparing the crowdfunding campaign and bringing Strips to market together with the team.

Jeremie Poirier
Managing Director at Malmö Startups

I am interested in getting involved in great projects in an advisor/contributor type capacity in the areas of innovation, tech, and all things international. 

I have had the opportunity to live, travel and/or work in over 20 countries, from the richest to near poorest. These experiences, in a variety of industries, have helped me to become easily adaptable to environments, develop my cultural intelligence and gain a better understanding of global business. I create the most impact in an atmosphere that values entrepreneurial minds, a people-first approach to leadership, and where innovation is of great importance. innovative startups from around the world, helping them to better understand their business and international markets. Jeremie has business development experience within the music industry, social technology and renewable energy sector, and has conducted business across North & South America, West Africa, Europe and East Asia. 

Marie Sommer
Innovation and Entrepreneurship teacher at Copenhagen Business Academy

Judge in Venture cup since 2009, co-owner/founder Yellowman (online supermarket) 2005-2010, part of other start-ups, teaches Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Copenhagen Business Academy, holds a masters degree in Business Administration and Marketing from CBS (class of 2004)

Rune Gregers Meyer, Community leader, curator, lead-organizer of Startup Weekend Oresund + global facilitator. Organized Startup Weekends on a ferry (between Denmark and Sweden), Startup Weekend vertical (film industry in Berlin and IoT in Oresund). Founder of and lecturer in Entrepreneurship and innovation at Copenhagen Business Academy, M.Sc(econ) from University of Copenhagen, interdisciplinary degree in Communication from Danish Technology University, Master class in Business Innovation from the Kaospilot (Aarhus) and Master class in Psychology from Probana. Furthermore Rune is mentoring upcoming leaders in DJØF.
