Ahmed Ossama
Managing Director at TE Data

Ahmed Ossama was appointed Managing Director at TE Data in August 2008. Ahmed has been with the TE group since 2003 as TE Data’s Product Marketing and Government Affairs Director. Before that, Ahmed co-founded Site Information Consultancy, an Internet application development company in 1998 that was later on acquired by Pyramid Technology in 2000, where Ahmed worked as the ISP Operation Manager until 2003. Before that Ahmed joined InTouch Communications Services in 1996 as a Systems Engineer, where he participated in building the infrastructure of the first ISP in Egypt and later on became the Operations Manager. Before that, Ahmed worked in IBM Egypt as a software engineer. Ahmed holds a B.Sc. in Computer Science and a Minor in Electronics from the American University in Cairo.


Nezar Kadhem
Co-Founder at Enter The Club

Nezar Kadhem, originally from Bahrain and a Babson College graduate, has spent the last 6 years globe-trotting: Starting in Bahrain, then to San Francisco, Lyon, Hangzhou, Boston, and now in Paris, he continuously educates himself on the transforming world of international business and entrepreneurship. Nezar is the co-founder of two Startups: Enter The Club - A B2B software solution for event organizers, and Pig Lander, an iOS game. Nezar has facilitated a Startup Weekend in China. Mentored, judged, and spoke at Startup Weekend Paris, Bahrain, and Hangzhou. And formed his very own startup "Enter The Club" at Startup Weekend Brussels. Most recently, Nezar was invited to mentor at Eric Ries's Lean Startup Machine event in Paris.


Redg Snodgrass
CEO of The Taploid

Redg Snodgrass, serial "funtrepreneur", invents new ways to enjoy everything. He served on the founding team at Skout, helping them to hit their first 2 million users and profitability. He left to head Innovation for Alcatel-Lucent and Bell Labs creating the first ever Open API Service across multiple global carriers. He eventually went to head their Open Innovation Unit helping startups connect with carriers in order to create a 1 + 1 = 1000 scenarios. Currently he is the CEO of The Taploid a new form of media that creates funny insights in a tabloid format from your social graph.

Hossam Allam
Founder and Chairman at TheCairoAngels

Hossam Allam founded and chairs TheCairoAngels, Egypt's only formal network of business angels. Previously he spent 10 years at Shell International where he worked in a number of engineering and commercial roles across the Middle East, Europe and Asia. He established and today manages the 'Property Management' arm of Hassan Allam Construction. Hossam holds a MBA from London Business School in entrepreneurship.


Mohammed Al-Ayouti

An entrepreneur at heart, Mohammed launched Vodafone’s mobile internet, and is its caretaker. He is passionate about the advancement of the internet on the phone, and devotes his waking hours to bringing the right propositions and smartphones to millions, and enriching their experiences with innovative apps, social media products, and content services. His crown jewel is the upcoming Mobile Apps Academy, an environment created to boost the local mobile apps industry, and to support and nurture young entrepreneurs into realizing their dreams. On paper, Mohammed is a computer engineer, and has acquired 10 years of local Internet industry knowhow from a previous life.


Coaches and Mentors


Maged Ghoneima
Nile University

Maged Ghoneima graduated with honors from the Faculty of Engineering – Ain Shams University in 1997. He obtained his PhD from Northwestern University in Chicago in 2001. After that Maged worked in the Electronics design sector in leading companies like Intel Corporation and Nvidia Corporation. He has more than 10 issued and pending patents, as well as more than 40 conference and journal publications. In 2010 he returned back to his country to contribute to scientific research and entrepreneurship efforts. He has co-founded three companies in the fields of electronics, IT and LBS. He strongly believes that the strength of Egypt is in each of its citizens and accordingly is trying to boost entrepreneurship and human development efforts in all fields through volunteering and sponsorship.


Mike Ducker
Entrepreneur in residence Egypt - GEP

Mike Ducker is the Entrepreneur in Residence for the Egyptian Global Entrepreneurship Program which is part of a USAID funded program called the Egyptian Competiveness Project in Egypt. He has been supporting and working for entrepreneurs for 17 years with a focus on market development, new product development, investment strategies and institutional development to support entrepreneurs and innovation. Mike’s previous work includes designing a business plan for a Center of Entrepreneurship Excellence in Pakistan, managing an investment project in Egypt that helped facilitated $6 million dollars’ worth of financing to entrepreneurs and developed a concept papers for innovation centers in Bosnia. Mike has created training courses that showed entrepreneurs how to reach local and export markets in Armenia and Kosovo. He has presented his research work on entrepreneurship and ICT development to USAID, the UN, and the greater development community. Mike was an ICT advisor in Kenya for 2 years. In 1998 mike helped set and invested into e-learning business in China. Before his work in development Mike worked in the private sector for 9 years including, working as a marketing director for a small entrepreneurial high tech firms in which he was able to land new sales to fortune 500 companies. Mike started his career in accounting/financial management and was part of a management staff that turned around a distribution company from losing hundreds of thousands of dollars to profiting a million dollars. He has created several training courses on entrepreneurship and ICT that he has taught internationally or in the US. He earned his MBA from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan, is a former Certified Management Accountant. Mike reached the summit of Mt. Kilimanjaro and finished 7 marathons, including the Safaricom Marathon in Kenya which is ranked by Running World Magazine as one of the top endurance marathons.


Tarek Nasr
Entrepreneur

Tarek Nasr, is a serial entrepreneur. Currently he is the Managing Director of ThePlanet, a digital creative agency. MD at JuiceLabs, a tech accelerator. Partner at Tawseela, an innovative transport firm and Partner at Untap a crowd sourcing innovation platform
