Inspiring women to take it to the startup level!

Evénement en deux langues : Français & Anglais

Prenez vos places : https://www.eventbrite.com/e/startup-weekend-women-paris-tickets-20815793599

Pour 80€ vous obtenez  :
  • Votre participation à l'évènement
  • Accès aux meilleurs mentors de la FinTech
  • Cocktail networking
  • Traiteur de qualité pour 54 heures intenses
  • Café et Tagadas infinies
  • Membership @ Startup Weekend Community (200K alumni) #SWMafia
  • Le nuage sur lequel tu vas flotter dans ta nouvelle vie
  • 100 nouveaux amis Facebook et beaucoup de Tweets !
  • Énormément d'amour de la part de l'équipe #SWParis
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You always asked yourself how entrepreneurs do it ? How moms open up a company at the age of 35 and juggle work & a family ? How a young woman freshly graduated and started her own startup ? How a Marketing Director quit her job to join her friend and open an online organic store ?
It's time to stop wondering and come see what it's all about !

This Startup Weekend is your opportunity to transform your ideas into action in 54 hours!
Find the right passionate people with complementary skills. Whether you form companies, find a cofounder, meet someone new, or learn a skill far outside your confort zone or usual job, everyone is guaranteed to leave the event better prepared to navigate the chaotic but fun world of startups.
"Nothing is more powerful than an idea whose time has come" (Victor Hugo) -
Register now and be an entrepreneur
for the best weekend of your life! Who knows, maybe it's meant for you!

We'll help you bring your ideas to life, but it's up to you to create the MAGIC ;)

Why Women's edition ?
Mostly, this type of events have a 70/30 ratio of men to women participants. We want to flip the ratio and focus on promoting women entrepreneurship, without, of course, excluding male participants.
Only 30% of founders are women in France. Ladies, shall we change that ?

Let's nourish an environment that encourages and supports women entrepreneurs. This is why we gather the top partners and mentors to organise this Startup Weekend with special focus on women entrepreneurship

Startup Weekend is a global grassroots movement of active and empowered entrepreneurs who are learning the basics of founding startups and launching successful ventures. It is the largest community of passionate entrepreneurs with over 1500+ events in 700+ countries around the world, and we are now looking forward to making a BIG dent for women entrepreneurs.

FAQ

1. Are men allowed to participate in this event?
Yes, of course! We aim to boost entrepreneurship and build exciting startups, and so we want to connect the best resources and people out there – that includes both men and women.

2. Should everyone pitch business ideas?
No, it is not necessary. It is entirely your choice to pitch a business idea or join the team of an idea you believe in. Either ways, we want you to enjoy this exhilarating experience of building startups.

3. How big are the teams?
Teams of 5 to 8 members are the ideal number for optimal results. You will build your team with the other attendees.

4. What if I sign-up alone or don’t have a group?
Don’t worry if you don’t know anyone attending. We will help everyone form groups, and there will be lots of time to mingle and get to know other attendees.

5. Who is this event aimed at?
Women and men of any age with programming, design, user experience, business or project management skills.

6. What do I need to bring?
A laptop and a desire to contribute! You must be able to attend Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

7. I can't code, can I still attend?
Yes! In fact, a well-rounded team of different skill sets is what we would like to see. Think Hipster (designer), Hacker (programmer) and Hustler (marketing and business - growth hacker).

8. I'm still not sure if I should go...
This is a great opportunity for women to get more involved and test their ideas, to reinvent our environment and build conditions for both women and men to thrive and do more of what they love.

9. What is the language of the event?
The event will be in both French & English. However, you can pitch the ideas in both. You can also discuss with your teammates and mentors in language of your choice.
