How does the future shopping look like?

54 hours to go from idea to founding a company: At the Startup Weekend Future Shopping you will find co-founders, turn one of your ideas into reality and receive coaching by experienced entrepreneurs and experts. Together with DB Station&Service, landlord of 1 million sqm retail area in 5,400 train stations, Startup Germany is giving you space for your startup ideas!
While revenues in retail stores are shrinking, new trends such as multichannel-sales, pop-up stores and the Internet of Things offer new prospects for founders. Those who see them early and develop sound, scalable business models on top of these trends, can utilize these opportunities. What are you going to make from beacons, 23,000 lockers and web-synchronized train schedules? Maybe an app that lets you select presents for your loved ones in any train station and pick them up from a locker at the final stop. It’s up to you. We provide you with full catering, mentors, fellow entrepreneurs and 54 hours of controlled chaos. You have the unrestrained will to turn an idea into reality? That’s all you need to start building your own business. Previous experience in developing a business idea is not required.
We are looking for innovative store concepts from the areas of retail, food and services, that combine both the online and offline world. The first prize gives the winning team the opportunity to use the coworking space of DB and to pitch the concept at DB’s Next Station Startup Pitch on April 16th. There you can win a pop-up space at Berlin main station for your freshly incorporated startup!

Over 8,000 Startups have come out of the 1,500 Startup Weekends to date. We want to give you the opportunity to go the same way. Whether you’re a developer, designer or someone who would simply love to work on a retail concept of the future.
