On behalf of the StartupWeekend Space Team, I would like to introduce you to one of our key media partners, Women in Aerospace. We are grateful for their continued support in spreading the word of our endeavour.
Women in Aerospace (WIA) is an organisation dedicated to expanding women's opportunities for leadership and increasing their visibility in the aerospace community. Both men and women can become members of WIA, benefiting from an ever-growing network that connects like-minded professionals through local communities. WIA’s members share an interest in a broad spectrum of aerospace issues, including human space flight, aviation, remote sensing, satellite communications, robotic space exploration, and the policy issues surrounding these fields.
WIA regularly offers mentoring programmes, awards, grants and training workshops. You can find strong local groups around Europe; from Bremen to Rome and from Paris to Brussels.
Any person who supports the WIA mission and goals is eligible for membership in Women in Aerospace and registration can be done directly on their webpage.
StartupWeekend Space is supported by the City of Bremen, the European Space Agency, Airbus Defence and Space, HE-Space, Design & Data, Space Angels Network as well as Up Global, a non-profit organization connecting a global community of entrepreneurs across all topics. The organization is headquartered in Seattle, US and is considered a hub for entrepreneurial space.
