On behalf of the StartupWeekend Space Team, I would like to introduce you to one of our mentors, Conor O'Sullivan. He will work intimately with you and your team, disseminating his knowledge and experiences, making sure you and your team will be successful.
Conor manages the business modelling team at the Satellite Applications Catapult, a UK organisation helping to promote space startups and entrepreneurs and assisting in commercialising space technologies. Conor holds a First Class Honours degree in Business and Economics from the University of Dublin, Trinity College and an MBA from the University of Oxford. During his time at Oxford he led the research effort into a comprehensive consulting report on the business case for a spaceport in the UK. Prior to his post-graduate studies, Conor spent five years in the banking industry as a sales trader in the foreign exchange departments of two global investment banks. He is passionate about the space and aviation industries and how NewSpace ventures are disrupting existing markets, and building new opportunities for entrepreneurs.
Conor holds a private pilot’s license and has flown in Europe and the US. He has experience in basic aerobatics, is a keen fan of the Red Bull Air Race and would love to take a spaceflight during his career!
