The heart of the Startup Weekends are the people that are part of it - whether as participants or volunteers. We would like to introduce you to a few of them and ask about their motivation and experiences to give you a little insight. Today we would like to introduce Joey Naumann, who brought Startup Weekend to Cologne.

In which Startup Weekend(s) did you participate and in which role?
In 2013, I brought Startup Weekend to Cologne together with Lukas Strniste, Vidar Andersen, Anu Beck and Susie Schilling. Since then I am part of the organizing team of SWCGN.
What was your motivation to volunteer?
We wanted to bring the Startup Weekend awesomeness with all its perks to Cologne.
Did you personally profit from volunteering at Startup Weekend?
Yes! :) New friends, new ideas, new motivation, new energy.
What was the most remarkable moment / the thing that impressed you most?
The amazing team and volunteers that made SWCGN what it is today.
