Speakers

Verena Sturm
Managing Owner

Verena Alice Sturm is a tech ethicist and political researcher, the founder of the socio-political think tank Avestu Institute and the founding partner of Avestu Capital. At Avestu Capital she matches startups with investors that are part of the AAIC, the Avestu Angels & Investors Circle. She is a firm believer in manufacturing social change via technology, innovation and catalytic thought. Her research is focused on connecting economics and ethics by fostering value-guided societal development via investment processes: 'valuing' startups in a way that accounts for their potential impact on the society of the future rather than solely by ROI. In 2018, she developed the EthicsScorecard for startups and in 2011, the ISR, a method to improve Delphi-based Scenario Analysis in innovation-intense contexts.

Maximilian Felsner
Co-Founder
