Launch a Startup in 54 hours

The Startup Weekend Saarbrücken (SWSaar) is a three-day event for the entrepreneurs of tomorrow.
Never mind if you are a business specialist, designer, developer, student, founder or founder to be, everyone can join.

The event starts on Friday evening with a brief introduction and a pitch session.
Every participant is welcome to present his/her startup idea in 60 seconds.
The attendees subsequently select the best ideas and build teams.
It follows a 54-hour frenzy of business model creation, coding, designing, and market validation.
You will work in teams and be supported by high-profile mentors from various fields.

To pitch an idea is not a prerequisite.
All you need to bring is your skills!

All participants should have the same initial conditions.
Therefore, the only restriction is that you are not already working on your business (research for the pitch preparation does not fall under this rule).
All teams will have the opportunity to work and pitch in English or German.
According to the reputation of Saarbrücken as an excellent IT Hub, we expect many ICT related ideas.
SWSaar is, however, open to all types of business ideas.
The goal is to work out a complete startup idea and examine its marketability and feasibility. Ideally you are ready to get your idea on the road right after SWSaar.
The event’s culmination is on Sunday evening, when all teams present their results in front of a jury of local entrepreneurial leaders.
Whether entrepreneurs start companies, find cofounders, meet exciting new network contacts, or learn a skill far outside their usual 9-to-5 job routine, everyone is guaranteed to leave the event better prepared to navigate the chaotic but fun world of startups.
If you want to put yourself in the shoes of an entrepreneur, register now for the best weekend of your life!

The registration fee includes an all-inclusive supply of meals, drinks and materials for the three days.
The event is only possible due to the generous financial support of the global and local sponsors and the work of dozens of volunteers from the startup scene of Saarbrücken.

SWSaar is a part of the global Startup Weekend network, which already counts more than 123,000 subscribers in over 700 cities worldwide. 13,000 startups have been founded as a result of Startup Weekends.
Outstanding teams have even generated revenue and acquired first investors already during the weekend.
SWSaar is a valuable networking opportunity to connect with like-minded people in a relaxed and creative atmosphere.
