Commercial Director of Setel Hellas. Efthymios is a Mechanical Engineer with postgraduate studies in applied Informatics. He possesses more than 20 years’ experience in Shipping and his professional experience includes Managerial positions in companies such as: Danaos ICT Group, Bull Hellas, Real Consulting S.A., Radio Holland Hellas. He has been with Setel Hellas from its foundation since 2007.

Dr. Dionysios Polemis is a Lecturer at the Department of
Maritime Studies of the university of Piraeus, he has previously served as head of the department Shipping and Transport of BCA College.He has a PhD in Finance from
University of Liverpool, Kingdom, Master in Banking
Finance from the University Bangor, Wales, UK and BSc
in Business Economics from theAnglia Ruskin University, UK. As a member the academic community he has served as a Lecturer (PD 407) in the Department Shipping of the University of Piraeus from the period 2009-2011, and has participated in various national and international
programs. His research interests include Maritime Economic, International Marine Trade Analysis of Shipping markets, and  mergers and acquisitions and Prediction of
Financial Risk. Studies of his have been published in world
renowned international journals. Dr. Polemis has worked as a Finance & Investment consultant to businesses and shipping companies.

Dimitris Georgakellos
Director of the Executive MBA (E-MBA) Postgraduate Programme at University of Piraeus

Dr. Dimitrios A. Georgakellos is a Professor in the Department of Business Administration at the University of Piraeus. He received his graduate degree in Mechanical Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens and his doctoral degree in Business Administration from the University of Piraeus. He has more than fifteen years’ of project experience in the private sector. His current academic and research interests focus on Environmental Economics and Management, Technology and Innovation Management, Business Plans Preparation & Entrepreneurship and Energy Management. He has more than 60 scientific articles published in local and international Journals and Conference Proceedings. Some of his work has been published in: Journal of Cleaner Production, International Journal of Innovation and Technology Management, Management of Environmental Quality: An International Journal, Technological Forecasting and Social Change, Marine Pollution Bulletin, Springer Lecture Notes in Artificial Intelligence, Transportation Research: Part D, Energy Economics, Information Systems Management etc. His work has been cited in many scientific papers etc. He is/has been reviewer in many scientific international Journals and Conference Proceedings. He is/has been the scientific coordinator or member of the research team of many research projects. He has been twice member of the Senate of the University of Piraeus, while he is currently member of the Research Committee of the University of Piraeus Research Center.


Markos Tsogas
Assistant Professor of International Marketing at University of Piraeus

Markos is an Assistant Professor of International Marketing at the University of Piraeus. He graduated from the  Athens University of Economics and Business and holds an MA in Marketing from Kingston University and Doctorate from the University of Piraeus. He has been a Senior Lecturer at Kingston Business School, Kingston University, UK and has written articles in international academic and scientific journals such as Industrial Marketing Management, The Journal of Consumer Marketing, The Journal of Business & Industrial Marketing, International Journal of Market Research etc. . He is an elected member of the Board of Greek Marketing Academy (Treasurer), and ordinary member of the European Marketing Academy (EMAC) of the American Marketing Association, the Academy of International Business and qualified member of the Market Research Society of UK. Alongside the academic work has extensive consulting and research experience in the United Kingdom and Greece in projects both strategic marketing and international - tourism marketing.

Petros Kokkalis
Impact investor, City Councillor of Piraeus

Piraeus City Councillor for Local Economic Development and Entrepreneurship and entrusted with the supervision and coordination of the Department for the Development of European and National Resources of D / Division of Planning and Development. 

As co-founder and impact investor of social enterprises such as Organisation Earth, an environmental NGO, and Aephoria.net, a sustainable development startup incubator, Petros Kokkalis is a firm believer of the transformation of local communities through mass resource mobilization. 
 
He currently serves as Vice President of the Kokkalis Foundation, a non-profit organization whose mission is the promotion of a peaceful, democratic and prosperous Southeastern Europe. He also serves as the President of Athens Information Technology, a non-profit technology academic and research institution, and he is on the board of Athens Tech, a private technology, innovation and entrepreneurship college. 
 
He frequently serves as judge to Greek and international business and startup competitions, mentors young entrepreneurs and also serves on the Endeavor senior advisor network. Previously, he was the Vice-President and shareholder of Intracom Holdings, one of the largest multinational technology groups in South-Eastern Europe, and the Vice-President and shareholder of Intralot S.A., a gaming technology supplier and lottery licensed operator. 
 
He was also the Vice-President of the Greek football club Olympiacos CFP from 1995 to 2008. He is currently running as an independent city council member in Piraeus Municipality responsible for European Affairs.

Danae Bezantakou
Managing Director NAVIGATOR SHIPPING CONSULTANTS

Danae Bezantakou is the Managing Director of Navigator Shipping Consultants LTD., Director of KEFI TOURS & CONFEENCES LTD and President of IforU-Greek Mentoring Network, which empowers women’s entrepreneurship through mentoring. Danae represented Greece in International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) “WOMEN IN LEADERSHIP” organized by Hilary Clinton, which took place in USA in March 2011 amongst 100 women from 92 countries. She is also a founding partner of the business Think tank THE CANVAS and the Hellenic U.S. Alumni. She has been selected to be one of the European Young Leaders for the year 2014 and her name was included in the Purpose Economy Europe 100 List 2014, as well as in the 40 under 40 list of Fortune Greece. She was also appointed as Young Global Leader from World Economic Forum for the years 2015-2020. She has a 7 year old daughter.

Iraklis is heading educational activities of Athens Tech College, a newly established tech college and recently co-founded Novoville, a civic engagement platform that was launched last May. Passionate about social change through education and technology, Iraklis believes that “Generation Y” will change the world as we know it. Nikos Ververidis is an entrepreneur and owner of several media production and communications companies. Born in Italy in 1978 and lived in Portugal, Spain, France, Uk and Greece, Nicola studied Law at Università degli Studi di Trento.Since 2006 he worked as Sales Executive (International Real Estate), Reservation Manager (Travel Industry),  CRM (Medical), Market Manager (Travel Industry), and Mobile Marketing Specialist  (Travel Industry). Yannis Kanellopoulos
Practice Leader Greece

Yiannis Kanellopoulos is Practice Leader Greece for Software Improvement Group (www.sig.eu), a Dutch management consultancy firm specialized in software matters. He holds a PhD from the University of Manchester, School of Computer Science. Yiannis loves helping international organisations managing their risks and costs related to either the procurement or the development and maintenance of their software systems. He is also a technology enthousiast who likes advising startups in getting their ideas off the ground. As such he is a mentor at the Founders' Institute (fi.co), a tech accelerator, and Orange Grove (www.orangegrove.biz), the initiative of the Dutch Embassy in Athens for helping young entrepreneurs.


Katerina Konsta
Managing Director of SeaWorks

Katerina is the Managing Director of SeaWorks Training & Consulting Ltd (UK) and she commences a long time experience as shipping & logistics trainer and consultant. She is currently with Lloyd’s Maritime Academy as Academic Course Director, Instructor and Consultant. She has collaborated in other academic posts for shipping subjects with the University of Middlesex and London Guildhall University. She also serves as examiner for the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers. She was in the position of the Head of the Shipping, Transport & Logistics Department for a College in Greece which collaborates with London Metropolitan University offering the latter’s shipping courses. Her extensive teaching experience has been gained at 

various colleges and universities, lecturing on undergraduate courses in shipping, maritime business and related subjects. 

She also has many years’ experience as an industry consultant, working in Greece and the UK on varied projects in national and international shipping and logistics, academic and commercial,

Katerina holds a degree in Maritime Business and Maritime Law from the University of Plymouth (UK). Prior to this she studied Business & Finance at North Hertfordshire College (UK). Her postgraduate studies include International Shipping at the University of Plymouth (UK) and Maritime Studies with International Transport at the University of Piraeus (Greece). She is currently working on her PhD at Plymouth University.

Katerina is also a member of the International Association of Maritime Economists (IAME), Women’s International Shipping & Trading Association (WISTA) and the Hellenic Association of Maritime Economists (HAME).


Sofia Tampouri
Career Office Manager at University of Piraeus

Sofia Tampouri is Head of the Career Office at the University of Piraeus and Co-
founder of TeleCC.org (Tele Career Counseling).    
At the Career Office, she is responsible for strategic planning and management 
(organizational and financial planning and control, budgeting, resource 
allocation, leading human resources, promotional activities). In this capacity, 
she counsels students, instructs seminars on career orientation and skills 
development, organizes career fairs, conducts research on youth 
entrepreneurship and alumni career development, and cooperates with enterprises and institutions involved in employment and entrepreneurship. 
She is also co-founder of the recent non-profit initiative in Greece "TeleCC.org", which aims to provide online career counseling to youth populations based on asynchronous, online learning.   
 Sofia has participated as a speaker on various Conferences, she has published a number of papers regarded career counseling and entrepreneurship, and she 
has been co-authored two student manuals. 
Recently, Sofia participated in the delegation represented Greece in the International Visitor Leadership Program of the State Department Career Centers at U.S. Universities” (2015). 

She was honored with a scholarship from the State Scholarships Foundation to 
complete her MSc in career counseling.

Alex Athanasakos

Graduated from the Department of Informatics, TEI of Athens. Currently a Research and Development Engineer at Danaos Management Consultants. He has previously worked as a Software Engineer at Quality & Reliability SA as well as Software Engineer-at the Ministry of Culture.


Nikolas Theodorou
Managing Director at EQnomics

Mr. Nikolas Theodorou, B.Sc.(Hons), M.Sc. NLP MasterP is the Founder and Managing Director of EQnomics. Ηe graduated school from Pierce College – The American College of Greece, received his undergraduate degree with honours in Business Economics from the Queen Mary & Westfield College of the University of London, and further obtained an M.Sc. in International Finance from 
the University of Surrey. He is bilingual in English and Greek and has basic knowledge of Spanish.

PhD Candidate in Tourism Marketing, Department of Business Administration,University of Piraeus

Angeliki is a PhD Candidate in Tourism Marketing at the Department of Business Administration at the University of Piraeus. She is a graduate of the Department of 

Marketing and communication of Athens University of Economics and Business and holds postgraduate degrees in Management of Human Resources and International 
Relations of the University of Cardiff (Wales, UK). Currently she is working as an 
Account Manager at an advertising agency in Athens and writes articles in print and online media on issues of social and cultural interest. She is also teaching about events marketing and social media at the e-learning program of Services Management of the University of Piraeus.

PhD Candidate in Strategic Marketing, Department of Business Administration, University of Piraeus

Marina is a PhD Candidate in Marketing at the Department of Business Administration at the University of Piraeus. She holds a Master in Business Administration – Total Quality Management (MBA-TQM) and a Bachelor’s Degree (BSc) in Economics from University of Piraeus. Since 2012, she works as a freelance consultant in numerous strategic marketing and market analysis projects. She is a Teaching Fellow and course administrator at the e-learning program of Services 
Management of the University of Piraeus.

My name is Wout, I am very passionate about creating new opportunities in and around education, for people, companies and communities. Always keeping an eye out to share knowledge and create valuable connections along the way. Over the past two years I’ve done so for our Startup Gibbon a platform that helps companies share knowledge, educate employees and create a culture of learning.
I’m very engaged in the the startup scene in Amsterdam where I organise different meetups around community management, host workshops about customer development and organise Startup Weekend. Next to that I facilitate Startup Weekends around Europe as often as I can. A great way to learn and connect with the different entrepreneurial ecosystems around the world.
