Kostas Xiradakis
Co-Founder at Tiz

Κostas co-created Tiz + 2 more startups and has over 3 years of full-time tech startups experience in digital marketing, product and business development roles. He provides marketing and growth consulting services for B2C companies, like, and holds a BSc in Computer Science from the University of Piraeus. Bonus facts: his first startup, Uninotes, was formed and awarded in Athens Startup Weekend University 2013 and he is known to take bribes in the form of Greek barbecue.

Gregory Yovanof

Gregory S. Yovanof, Ph.D. is α Professor of Innovation & Entrepreneurship at Athens Information Technology (AIT), and a former Associate Dean of the AIT. He currently serves as the head of the “Research in Innovation & Entrepreneurship – RIE research group. From April 2008 till June 2009, Dr. Yovanof served as a member of the Board of Directors of Hellas Online S.A. An active member of the Greek entrepreneurial ecosystem, he has offered strategy consultancy services to a number of start-up companies and clusters of innovations in the ICT and Biotech sectors. In addition to academic work, his professional career includes an over twenty-year tenure in the high-tech industry in the greater Asia-Pacific region. Before joining AIT in 2002, he worked as a staff scientist at the Eastman Kodak Research Labs and Hewlett-Packard Laboratories, engaged over a period of nine years in multimedia signal processing for computer peripheral devices. He has also led the development of several award-winning ICs for the DVD market as a co-founder and an executive manager at two start-up companies in Silicon Valley. Dr. Yovanof received a Ph.D degree in Communications from the University of Southern California (USC), Los Angeles, CA. 

Haris Aslanidis

Haris Aslanidis is the founder of Greek Geeks ( , a Social Media Agency.He has a strong presence in the business field, demonstrated by a 15 years business activity. In 2000, at the age of 17 he realized he could turn his passion for computers to a career. During the same year, he was offered the position as a content manager for some websites. That job triggered many opportunities in a variety of positions including content manager, e-shop manager, sales, web marketing, database manager, social media manager and other similar positions by high prestige online companies.The big step in his professional career was made in April 2013 when he took the decision to start his entirely own thing. Therefore, he founded Greek Geeks; a growing social media company which has successfully undertaken over two hundred projects worldwide in only two years of service. At the same time he has the privilege to work and train over forty people, with the goal to grow the agency into one of the greatest in the field. Meanwhile, he has attended numerous seminars in several fields within the Greek business ecosystem. Finally, he has given various talks in business seminars both in Greece and abroad, promoting Greek entrepreneurship and work from home opportunities (even for disabled people).

George Teriakidis
Regional Business Development Manager DNV GL

George Teriakidis is a naval architect and currently holds the position of DNV GL Regional Business Development Manager, for Region South East Europe & Middle East.

He has completed studies of B.Eng. in Marine Technology with Honours in Naval architecture at the University of Newcastle Upon Tyne as well as of a M.Sc. in Ship Production Technology at Strathclyde University of Glasgow. Upon completion of his studies, he joined DNV office of Dubai, UAE as a trainee surveyor. During his 8 year stay in Dubai he became surveyor for various types of vessels and got involved in various projects. In 2006 he became the Service Manager for CAP surveys for Middle East & India as well as the debuty head of the DNV Dubai Maritime Service Centre.

In August 2008 he joined DNV Piraeus as the Marketing and Business Development Manager. Since then he has been working on business development towards the Greek and Cypriot market for Maritime as well as Oil & Gas. Also, he has delivered various presentations in seminars, training sessions and conferences. Since the merger of DNV and GL in 2013, he has been the Regional Business Development Manager for Region South East Europe and Middle East.

Nikolas Theodorou
Managing Director at EQnomics

Mr. Nikolas Theodorou, B.Sc.(Hons), M.Sc. NLP MasterP is the Founder and Managing Director of EQnomics. Ηe graduated school from Pierce College – The American College of Greece, received his undergraduate degree with honours in Business Economics from the Queen Mary & Westfield College of the University of London, and further obtained an M.Sc. in International Finance from 
the University of Surrey. He is bilingual in English and Greek and has basic knowledge of Spanish.

At Royal Dutch Shell, where having began his career in a number of senior regional posts, Nikolas has collectively managed regions covering North America, Asia and much in between  while his posts held executive positions in Energy (Fossil & Clean), Technology, Shipping and Investment Funds. Petros Kavasalis

Petros Kavassalis is Associate Professor with the University of the Aegean (Dpt of Financial and Management Engineering) and Senior Researcher at CTIP (Computer Technology Institute & Press - Research Unit 9), Greece – web location: ATLANTIS Group. Petros Kavassalis holds a degree in Civil Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) and a Ph.D. from Dauphine University in Paris (Economics and Management). In the past, he worked as a Researcher at the Ecole Polytechnique, Paris (Centre de Recherche en Gestion), at MIT (Research Program on Communication Policy – now part of SSRC), where he has contributed to the foundation of the MIT Internet Telecommunications Convergence Consortium MIT-ITC, and at ICS-Forth, Greece. His interests focus on the fields of Information Management, Engineering of Complex Systems, Business Process Modeling and Automation, Identity and Privacy Management in Federated Environments, Organization of the Digital Economies, Economics and Policy of Industrial and Technical Change. In the last years, he served as:  - Member of the Core Technical Team of STORK 2.0 Project (European Commission - Large Scale Project) - Principal Investigator for LGAF Project – a project that implements “BPM over SOA” e-services for e-government purposes (a case study input for ISA Programme's activities - European Commission) - Principal Investigator for the Project "Open Source Software Education and Research on Transportation and Shipping" where he mainly develops complex system methodologies to address innovation challenges in the organization of the Coastal Shipping Industry in the Aegean Islands - Cyclades (current National Strategic Reference Framework - NSRF) - Project evaluator for CAPS Initiative (European Commission).

Maria Lekakou

Dr. Maria Lekakou is Associate Professor in Maritime Economics in Department of Shipping, Trade and Transport, and Member of the Council of the University of the Aegean. She has a longstanding experience in passenger shipping and maritime policy, as Advisor to the Minister of Mercantile Marine (1996-2000) President of the Committee of “Development of Domestic Sea Transports’ System” (1998- 2002), a member of the National Regulatory Authority for Internal Maritime Transportation (2001-2004) and as a maritime expert in many national or European bodies (2007- ). Maria Lekakou has extensively examined maritime markets and is co- author of books examining European Maritime Policy, Greek shipping competitiveness island transports and cruise tourism and she has studied short-sea shipping policy developments, maritime tourism, cruise industry, passenger shipping, labour affairs as well as European policies related to liner shipping, cabotage, maritime competition and regional development. She has contributed over 60 peer reviewed papers to international scientific conferences or journals, and has participated in numerous R&D projects. She is a member of the International Association of Maritime Economists (IAME) and a founding member of the Hellenic Association of Maritime Economists.

Danae Bezantakou

Bezantakou is CEO of Navigator Shipping Consultants, shareholder of KEFI S.A. and MATILDA HOTEL in Zakynthos Island. She is also President of iforU-Greek Mentoring Network,
which empowers women’s entrepreneurship through mentoring & networking, Concept Founder of YES FORUM - the platform of open dialogue in the Greek Shipping and Sea Tourism Industries among principals, executives and university students, recent graduates and young executives and
also Secretary General of the International Propeller Club Port of Piraeus.
Danae represented Greece twice in International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) “Women in Leadership” organized by Hilary Clinton, in March 2011 & “On Demand Opportunity: Alumni Association Development” in December 2017. She has been nominated to be one of the European Young Leaders (2014), her name was included in the quot; Purpose Economy Europe 100
List 2014 as well as in the 40under40 list of Fortune Greece. She is founding member and the 1 st President of the Hellenic U.S. Alumni Association of State Department Programs during the period 2015-2018.
Danae was appointed as Young Global Leader from World Economic Forum for the years 2015-2020, holds Global Dignity & Greek Country Chair and has been nominated to join the World
Economic Forum’s Expert Network. Her dedication to the growth of Entrepreneurship made her to be named as a Role Model in the campaign #Makingithappen organized by the U.S. Embassy in Greece. She regularly participates as a speaker, judge or mentor in competitions, schools and
university lectures and events related to entrepreneurship. She holds a Bachelor of Science in International Hospitality and Tourism Management from the University of Surrey. She has a 10 year old daughter.

Yannis Sidiropoulos

Yannis is a graduate in business administration from Athens University of Economics and business (AUEB) and has a total of 25 years professional experience with employment in multinational, Greek companies and as self-employed consultant. His area of expertise comes to human resource management, consulting services to public and private entities and business development. At CIBA GEIGY (Swiss chemical group) his main areas of responsibility were purchasing, human resources and quality management while at SCHNEIDER ELECTRIC (French electric group) he focused on human resources development, change management and culture integration. In ATHOC 2004 (Greek organizing committee for Olympic Games) he was responsible for all staffing issues pre and games time including their information systems and Games uniforms for all staff categories. As an independent consultant he supported the development of operational plans for municipalities, redesigned operational plans and improved economic performance of companies from various sectors. For the past two years he was responsible for EkinisiLAB - a new business development incubator that was initiated by SEV – Hellenic Federation of Enterprises. During that period he supported the development of business plans and access to finance for a variety of innovative teams and start-ups. Currently he works as policy advisor at SEV for a project aiming at the promotion of sustainable and quality employment.

Panos Farandouris

Panos, has over 20+ years experience designing, developing and conducting complex IT projects. He combines strong technical, organizational and managing skills together with excellent understanding of financial and marketing issues.
Been highly interested in disruptive technologies, he is focusing in the creation of innovative and valuable services for professional users.
Panos is co-partner of, a tech start-up, offering an innovative trip management service for boaters to let them easily plan, manage and share boating activities.

Nagia Stagkouraki

Nagia graduated from University of Piraeus, where she studied Computer Science. She also studied at the Carlos III University of Madrid as an Erasmus student. It was since her main studies, that she came to know about startups and participated in some of them. She is highly motivated, loves to learn and improve herself. She has been working in Microsoft Greece since March 2015, as a Start-up-Community Specialist. She leads the BizSpark program in Greece, which is a global program that helps startups reach the next level. The program offers three-year access to current, full-featured software development tools and Azure cloud services.  She is a member of Developer eXperience team in Microsoft Hellas, which provides technical and business guidance to developers of all ages from students to software companies. Nagia enjoys the interaction with startups and she works close to startups that are hosted on Microsoft Innovation Centre in Athens. Moreover, she develops and executes digital marketing plans focused on technical audiences and organizes events related to startups, developers and students
