Event starts at 6:30 pm
Kidonion & Marias Kallas Corner
Startup Weekend is the place to look for a team, create a prototype of your idea, validate your business idea, and receive feedback from experienced entrepreneurs, all in one weekend.
What do you need to bring?
Lots of energy! You'll pitch your own idea or listen to others, then vote on the most interesting ideas and form teams with diverse skill sets. You can come with friends, but you’ll get the full experience if you participate in separate teams. Remember, it’s all about the team.
Your idea should be something you have not previously worked on. The idea you pitch and the problem you set out to solve can span social, educational, financial, environmental, or other issues. Over the course of the weekend you'll be challenged to create a prototype of your MVP, or minimum viable product, that fits the needs of your target customer. You'll get feedback, iterate, and likely pivot your approach entirely! Important: You cannot have worked previously on your idea.
Techstars Startup Weekend is a full weekend long experience. Your ticket includes:
- 7 full (and delicious) meals over the course of the weekend
- Benefits and discounts from our global partners
- One-on-one time with amazing mentors

since 2011.Thesgala was founded in 2011 by Athanasios Vakalis (now
president of Thesgala). It is the first standard production cooperative in Greece. On 2014 the Cooperative was awarded with the Innovation Award. Apart from the global innovation of selling fresh milk through a vending network, placed on a city network the remarkable result of the Cooperative has been to build a trust circle among members of cooperatives, and have them function with market conditions and with private economic criteria, as well as, to successfully fight with the “monster” – the Greek bureaucracy-. All this effort is done in order to, allow innovative ideas come to action and change the Greek milk market system.

Coaches and Mentors
In 2018 she worked for a year as a VC associate at VentureFriends, during which she had the opportunity to review, study and assess more than 250 startups from idea to revenue stage. At the same time, she monitored the fund’s investments, collecting valuable insights on how successful startups get things done.
Before all that, and during her student years, Vasso was a children animator, performing shows all over northern Greece. She has entertained approximately 10,000 kids, but after all these years she still insists not to share her magic tricks. In her free time, she competes in logic puzzle solving, she sings, plays ping pong and tennis and travels as much as she can.
Today, Vasso is a member of the big Skroutz family, exploring the opportunity of expanding the platform to the B2B market. The aim is to connect all Greek professionals suppliers and buyers while improving the transparency, the quality, and the overall experience of the business purchases.
A rationalist by nature, he remains an avid learner and strives to meet people smarter than him, which between you and me, is not that hard. He controls entropy via typography and colors, tunes and morning running.
