Deepak Solanki
Founder - Velmenni (Li-Fi)

Deepak Solanki is Founder of Velmenni, a company which recently successfully tested Li-Fi technology, enabling data transfer using lights. 
 
Started working on Li-Fi in 2013 and did initial experiments to test the technology. The first successful experiment was to send data from a laptop screen light to our hardware device then transferred data from smartphone screen to another smartphone. 

In 2014, Velmenni got an incubation offer from a Hardware Accelerator in Estonia and got seed funded. The whole team shifted to Estonia and developed the technology over there. Within 6 months they were able to develop technology and conduct pilot tests. Recently they successfully tested 1Mbps speed to 1 Gbps. 

Deepak graduated from LPU, Jalandhar as an Electronics Engineer in 2011. Worked as a Research Associate in Robotics Research Lab at IIIT- Hyderabad. Published few research paper in Intentional IEEE conferences. After that worked in a startup in France for 6 months then joined another startup based in IIT Bombay. Developed robotics research platform there. After that started Velmenni and developed several electronics products in various domain such as IOT, Smart Home, Traffic Light Solution etc. 


Ishita Anand
Founder & CEO, BitGiving

Ishita is the Founder and CEO of BitGiving, India’s leading crowdfunding platform which helps raise funds online and gives wings to entrepreneurial ideas, creative minds and social issues.  

A self confessed geek, Anand was quick to be bitten by the technology startup bug and started her first venture at the age of 22. Passionate about making impossible dreams come true through her venture, she envisions revolutionising crowdfunding in India. Anand’s infectious energy, perseverance and foresightedness has helped BitGiving grow from a two member company to a leader in the crowdfunding niche.  

An erstwhile film-maker, Anand is an alumnus of Lady Shri Ram College. She is also affiliated with the Lean In Foundation and is heading the circles for Women Entrepreneurs in India.

Brett Stevens
Vice President - Jaarvis Accelerator

Brett Stevens is Vice President of Jaarvis Accelerator in Gurgaon, and a Director of Jaarvis Labs in Australia, leading the team to launch new startup ventures in a challenging marketplace.

He is a member of the senior leadership team in the Jaarvis group, and one of the core mentors in Jaarvis Labs. When in India, Brett providing leadership support and mentoring to the Jaarvis Accelerator team and incubatees, and is active in building the startup ecosystem across India, particularly in less mature metros and smaller cities. 

Prior to joining the Jaarvis group in 2014, Brett spent over 35 years in senior sales, marketing and management roles in leading global ICT companies including Ericsson, Alcatel-Lucent and Hewlett Packard. For more than 20 years Brett has focussed on telecommunications, and lived in Thailand, Malaysia and Korea building new telecommunications networks to enrich the lives of people.

He graduated in Data Processing from Charles Sturt University and later completed post graduate studies in Management at the University of Ballarat.

Brett is also Chairperson of Oriel Services Limited, a social enterprise providing employment services to people with disability in the northern suburbs of Melbourne.


Jonathan Kessler
Director North India - US Embassy

Jonathan Kessler is the Director of the North India Office at the U.S. Embassy. Since joining the Foreign Service in 1992, Jonathan has specialized in Economic and Technical issues. He recently completed a posting as Science Counselor at the U.S. Embassy in Moscow.  

Other postings include Deputy Coordinating Director for Development and Economic Affairs in Kabul; Deputy Economic Counselor in Mexico City; Deputy of the EU Office at the State Department; Special Assistant to the Undersecretary for Economic Affairs, as well as tours at USEU; in Lisbon; and Manila.  He has an MBA from Columbia University with a specialization in Finance and a BS in Chemical Engineering from Rice University. 


Parul Soni
Managing Partner - Thinkthrough Consulting (TTC)

Parul is the Global Managing Partner of Thinkthrough Consulting (TTC) - a professional services firm that specializes in providing advisory support to social development initiatives. He was previously a Partner and Global Co-leader for Not-for-profit organizations in Ernst and Young (EY). He has over 19 years of demonstrative experience in providing strategic leadership to large social development programs at regional; country and Global level with national and international organizations.Parul is a renowned speaker, author and a serial entrepreneur, with an in depth understanding of divergent challenges met in the cause of community empowerment. He specializes in social development issues and CSR initiatives globally. He is an ex-senior advisor on the Global Advisory Board of WEConnect International and currently serves as the Executive Director, India for the same. He actively encourages and supports entrepreneurs as a Chair of the Board of Power of Youth in India, and via the Advisory board  of Biz Divas, a CSR initiative by Altavis Private Limited. 


Anurag Batra

Anurag Batra is an entrepreneur, journalist, Internet evangelist and media expert all rolled into one. He belongs to first generation entrepreneur and currently serving as Chairman and Editor-in-Chief of exchange4media group which includes exchange4media.com – India’s leading media industry website, PITCH – India’s only Advertising, Marketing and Media Magazine, IMPACT – The Marketing Weekly, Franchisee Plus – India’s Business Opportunity Magazine, Realty Plus – India’s leading monthly real estate magazine and http://www.samachar4media.com/ – leading media industry website in Hindi.

Saurabh Kumar
Additional Private Secretary to the Minister for Communications & Information Technology, Government of India

Mr. Kumar is the Additional Private Secretary to the Minister for Communications and Information Technology, where he is part of a small team working on various initiatives related to the Digital India project. Saurabh is the one the youngest civil servant serving at the highest level in the cabinet ministry and is currently given the charge to build 700,000 kms of fibre network across the country to connect half a million villages of India.

His other responsibilities include improvement and expansion of digital service delivery networks across the country; and expansive digital literacy promotion with a focus on gender concerns in the digital world. He is also involved in the Made-In-India initiative, which promotes startups in India, young digital entrepreneurs, and the development of India's electronic sector. Other initiatives he monitors include the Aadhar national identity card project and smart city programs. 


Rishi Anand
Partner - Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas

Rishi Anand is a Partner in the Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas Delhi office.   He is currently a part of the general corporate practice group and specialises in private equity, regulatory affairs, mergers, acquisitions, disposals, foreign direct investments, joint ventures, general corporate, restructuring and reorganisations, fund formation, onshore and offshore structuring and transaction management. Rishi has serviced clients from various sectors, including the leading domestic and international foreign commercial enterprises, internet companies, financial institutions, leading private equity funds and venture capital funds as well as state and regulatory bodies. In addition, Rishi is an assistance professor at Symbiosis Law School, Noida, where he lectures on mergers and acquisitions.   He graduated from the Symbiosis International University, Pune in 2007 and completing his masters in International Business Law from National University of Singapore in 2009 and has joined the firm in June, 2015. Prior to joining Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas, he was the Managing Partner at Gnarus Partner and has also previously worked with Rodyk & Davidson, Singapore and Dacheng Law Office, Shanghai.  


Dr Amrita Bahl
PhD, Co-Chair - CII Yi Delhi

Amrita Bahl has 15+ years of experience in Health and Education. She developed the Social Education and Health Advocacy Training (SEHAT) Program, a peer-led health education program aimed to train prisoners to become community health educators, which was implemented in partnership with the India Vision Foundation and UNODC in Tihar and Amritsar Prisons. She is also a certified Regional Master Trainer for the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime for their project on prevention of HIV among incarcerated substance users. Amrita returned to India after completing her Doctoral studies and continues to work with public and private sector organizations with a focus on participatory health promotion, curriculum development and creating frameworks for monitoring, evaluation and impact assessments.  She is passionate about building social capital through the use of peer networks to effect social change.
She is also the Co-Chair of CII Young Indians Delhi Chapter.


Monce C. Abraham
Founder & Chairman, THEV Consulting

Monce is the Founder and Chairman at THEV Consulting, which aims to create disproportionate value add to the work of passionate entrepreneurs and leaders, within India and abroad; in terms of adding scale, innovation and entrepreneurial thinking to their initiatives.

A management specialist - his expertise includes Marketing, Branding, Strategy, Building 
Innovation Capability, Thought leadership, Organization effectiveness and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). Backgrounds for the entrepreneurs and business leaders consulted include Harvard, UPenn, Columbia, Cambridge, World Economic Forum Young Global Leaders (WEF YGLs), IIMs, IITs, RECs, McKinsey, non-profit founders and top level management. Monce

currently also serves on the Board of Advisors of FARO and HelpMyPrep. Prior initiatives include working as Member of Founding team of a global hi-tech venture with a Marquis Who’s Who serial entrepreneur & global innovator; and heading the Marketing and Research function for the Indian Private Equity and Venture Capital Association (IVCA).

Durgesh Nandan

Durgesh is the founder of a social enterprise ‘InMotion’, working to empower auto-rickshaw drivers by its intervention in finance, health and education. InMotion has developed largest network of auto-rickshaw drivers in India.  He started his journey as a student entrepreneur, when most of his friends were gearing up for placements, he was paving up his way to find substantial answers to the problems of the society. Namita Dalmia
Associate Director - Central Square Foundation

Namita leads Central Square Foundation’s work in the area of technology for school education. She also co-manages venture strategy and development for the organization. Her background includes technology, business and education. Previously, she worked with a California based education technology company Education Elements, where she helped design the flagship product for Blended Learning schools. In India, she worked on various education policy projects for two years as part of the National Knowledge Commission, an advisory body under the Prime Minister's Office. Her other experiences include working on a breakthrough technology at Intel Technologies and co-founding a pan-India non-profit organisation Pankhudi Foundation


Kartik Desai
Principal, Asha Impact

Kartik is Principal at Asha Impact, an impact investing and policy advocacy organization set up by Vikram Gandhi. He has over a decade of experience in venture capital & entrepreneurship, investment banking and development economics. Kartik has worked with two of the leading impact investment funds in India, Lok Capital and Aavishkaar, as well as set up his own social venture, What’s up Bharat. Prior to working as a venture capitalist, he worked with Merrill Lynch in the investment banking and private equity groups and did consulting assignments for organisations including the UN Development Program and Rockefeller Foundation. Kartik graduated from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Science in Economics and from Columbia University with a Master in International Affairs.




Seema K Bharwani

Seema K Bharwani (also known as Wonder Woman to her friends, and The Content Queen to clients), wants to live in a world where everyone can make as much money as they want to doing the things that really light them up. 

As a trainer and instructional designer with over 12 years of course creation experience she has worked with Fortune 500 Companies like IBM, Nestle and Ericsson and bestselling authors like Lisa Nichols, Melissa Hughes, Ron Malhotra to help them create courses and packages that truly package and represent their message and brilliance to the world.

Amitabh Kumar
Head, Media and Communications, Centre for Social Research

Amitabh studied microsystem technics at Freiburg Germany. After completing his studies in Europe he returned to India and joined the gender movement. He is a true believer of using technology for sustainable social change and has created numerous awareness generation campaigns leveraging social media and technology. As the communications in-charge, he leads the team in conceptualization of the programmes at CSR. Given his early exposure to the Gender Sensitisation movement, Amitabh is also a Lead Gender Trainer with the Gender Training Institute and has conducted over 500 trainings in the last 8 years. 

He has been involved with training people at high ministerial level, police personnel’s, rural communities, corporate, Institutions etc.


Ishita Matharu
Founder - Mechenex

Ishita Matharu is the founder of Mechenex a certified car assistance network. Prior to Mechenex, she was in the online marketing space at Google since 2010. Having experienced different roles, she discovered her passion for Small & medium businesses and startups as an Account manager helping them grow using Google's advertising solutions.
Apart from this, she is a Krav Maga instructor and conducts several workshops for self defense under the organization Krav Maga India. And whenever a few months in a year permit, she does a Bharatnatiyam dance show with her group 'Jyotsna Shourie's dance center' in some city in the world.
Having worked with more than a 1000 companies at Google, she loves guiding companies to strategize their digital solutions to create brands online and drive performance.

Mr. Onkar Kishan Khullar popularly known as "OK" or "Gareebo Ka Steve Jobs" started his first company, I Impact India Partners at the age of 21, creating a niche for himself as the youngest Consultant in the Cause Branding & Marketing Industry Internationally.After 3 years he founded a presentation solutions firm called Presentation Ink. Ravi Sinha
Sr Business Strategist, Jaarvis Accelerator

Ravi has 15+ years of experience in Information Technology Industry, and has a demonstrated track record of building, expanding and sustaining small to mid scale companies in leadership roles and driving business growth. He was a founding member of an Enterprise Mobility Startup and as the COO of the company, he was instrumental in its growth and International expansion.Currently he is associated as a Sr. Business Strategist with Jaarvis Accelerator, been very active in the startup ecosystem and is engaged in mentoring several technology startups. He works with startups on their ideas, guide & mentor them in converting their ideas into successful businesses. Lee Keshav
Co-Founder, Hello World Labs

Lee Keshav is one of the youngest and leading Creative Directors in the country. He was the first hire of Hike Messenger back in 2011 and was an integral part of building Hike from ground up as the Head of Design and UX. He also lead the product and experience design at Airtel's Wynk Music.

Keshav's experience in the deep end of modern startups gives him an excellent perspective on how to build great products and teams. He has also been a guest UX adviser for companies like Nokia, Microsoft, Yahoo Japan and more.

After leaving Hike in 2015 Keshav has been busy building his own ventures. Most recently he's co-founded a new technology startup called Hello World Labs. Alongside his co founder Shrivatsa Somany (ex Zomato) they are now focused on building a new ecosystem of smart apps.

On the weekends Keshav is usually busy racing cars or working with BMW India as a performance driver and brand ambassador. He is a former national championship runner-up and now also races internationally. He's planning to race an Aston Martin GT in the European Championship in 2016.


Rishi Seth
Founder - EVOC

Rishi is the founder and CEO of Evoc, a communications consulting firm specializing in PR and digital marketing services for consumer brands. He founded Evoc in 2014 
to advise clients on building brands and communicating with audiences on digital platforms; a capability sorely lacked by a majority of contemporary PR consultancies. 

Prior to founding Evoc, he worked with The PRactice, where he led the national PR 
campaigns for Hewlett-Packard, Oracle and Adobe. He has earlier worked at Text 100 and Vaishnavi Corporate Communications and managed PR campaigns for Indian and global brands including Microsoft, Nokia and HCL.

Rishi began his career as a feature writer and business journalist for various technology magazines.
