Ever wondered what it takes to be an entrepreneur?Do you have a brilliant idea and would like to develop a prototype?

Are you one of those nerdy coders and designers who can give visionary ideas the required aesthetic appeal?

Would you like to get involved in a 54 hour mission to build a start-up?

The Entrepreneurship Development Cell (eDC) of IIT Delhi brings forward Startup Weekend, a 54 hour frenzy of business model creation, coding, designing, and market validation. The weekends culminate with presentations in front of local entrepreneurial leaders with another opportunity for critical feedback.Be prepared to drown yourself in the perfect aura of awesomeness and creativity. Meet the best minds of city working and create the next revolution. How does it work? We aim to bring together enthusiasts like you to share ideas, form teams, build products, and, most importantly, launch startups.• Friday: Attendees pitch their ideas and inspire others to join their teams. Teams are therefore created to work on the best ideas.• Saturday and Sunday: This is where you debate, build, pitch. And build some more. Teams will focus on building a prototype of their idea/product. During this period teams will also focus on customer development, validating their ideas, practicing LEAN Startup methodologies and building a minimum viable product.• Sunday: In the evening teams demo their prototypes and receive valuable feedback from a panel of experts.Who can Participate? Think of a typical Startup Weekend session as a hackathon with a strong emphasis on business and design. Your prior educational qualifications or stream doesn’t matter at all. We are only looking for a passion to innovate. Typical crowd of Startup Weekend consists of• Hackers and Nerds who can code with speed and skill.

• Domain experts and Business guys who know the market need on the tips of their fingers.

• Designers with a strong aesthetics and strong UI, UX skills.

• Hustlers who can drive the project and can pitch their idea with passion looking to build a fantastic team around their idea.
Teams at Startup Weekend are formed in such a way that they have a good mix of technology, design and business. Why should you join Delhi Startup Weekend ?• Build a strong network of young aspiring entrepreneurs, well established CEO’s of Delhi and a network amazing angel investors.

• Think, conceive and deliver a product over a weekend. It’s just the energy in the Startup Weekend environment that makes you superproductive. Make your dreams a reality.

• Get one-on-one time with the movers and shakers in your community. Local tech and startup leaders participate in Startup Weekends as coaches and judges.

• Startup Weekend alumni span across several continents and scores of cities.
Whether entrepreneurs find companies, find a co-founder, meet someone new, or learn a skill far outside their usual 9-to-5, everyone is guaranteed to leave the event better prepared to navigate the chaotic but fun world of startups.Current event is a general Startup Weekend Edition where participants are required to pitch their raw idea which could be in any vertical/theme like Technology, Education, Health, Disability, Environment, etc. and work on building a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) thus propelling them to take their idea to the next stage.

Ankit Buti
Founder & CEO, StartupEd

Ankit Buti is the founder and CEO of StartupEd, an entrepreneurship school and startup incubator based out of San Francisco, California. Ankit, born in New Delhi, India came back from United States, motivated to empower local students to become next generation of entrepreneurs. He graduated from Purdue University with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and a certificate in Entrepreneurship and Innovation. He also studied business and management at Stanford Graduate School of Business. Following his graduation, he worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Qualcomm Inc, in San Diego where he lead his project in collaboration with IBM. He then moved on to work at a private equity backed network and mobile security startup in Silicon Valley called Pulse Secure.
Ankit has worked on multiple large scale projects in the industry and has a whole breadth of leadership and technical experience. During his time at Purdue, Qualcomm, Pulse Secure and Stanford, he came about the idea of an entrepreneurship school in India and his interactions and learnings in different atmospheres, helped shape his idea. Consequently, he established his company in Silicon Valley and moved to India to build his customer base.

Deepak Goel
Founder at KC, Serial Entrepreneur, Advisor to several startups, TEDx speaker

Deepak is a seasoned product management and product marketing executive. He was co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of Packback (a Chicago-based startup funded by Mark Cuban & other notable angel investors) where he built their product strategy, online marketing strategy and engineering team. Prior to that, he was the Chief Product Officer of IndiaHomes (backed by NEA, Foundation Capital & Helion Ventures) where he built & led product management, marketing and engineering teams. Before that, he was Director of Product Management at (COUP) where he created & grew several multi-million dollar products. He has also been a senior executive at Microsoft & Nokia. Deepak is a serial entrepreneur and has been with three successful startups across stages (0-1 million, 1-10 million and 10-100 million). He has experience across domains (email, content, coupons, retail, e-commerce, real estate, maps, traffic & education), across product types (consumer, enterprise, mobile, social and platform), across functions (engineering, product management & marketing) and across levels (individual contributor, manager, director, VP and CXO). Deepak is a mentor at 500 Startups and an angel investor in few startups (Sverve, Packback, Wishberry, TheStylisted). He is also an advisor to Khosla Impact Fund & Impact Engine accelerator and advises several companies on strategy, product, marketing and technology. Over the last three years, Deepak has reviewed more than 800 business plans and has advised more than 400 startups (TheCatch, Brave Champs, TrackNProtect, Cuponomia, Tushky, etc) in various areas. He has also judged several business plan competitions in University of Chicago, Booth School of Business and Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley. Deepak is a computer science graduate from IIT, Delhi, India and holds an MBA from Haas School of Business, UC Berkeley. He is a Mensa member and has patents for 4 of his inventions (3 issued, 1 pending).

Deepak Sawhney
Executive Coach , International Coach Federation

Deepak is a credentialed coach , Associate Certified Coach ( ACC ) & member of International Coach Federation (ICF). Deepak is currently pursuing his next level credentialing with more than 650 hours of coaching experience.   Deepak is associated as coach trainer with Coach4 excellence, an organization, based in India, which conducts an approved ACTP, ACSTH coach training program. Deepak has coached CXO / Senior executives in large companies / MNCs. Deepak comes with 25+ years of corporate experience, including national leadership roles in last 15 years in domains of sales, marketing , operations & HRD. He worked with Bharat Petroleum & subsequently handled national leadership role in Reliance rolling the first ever private fuel station, fully automated, network. This network achieved a sizable market share in record time. He then moved his career & focus to Learning & development and changed sector to BFSI. As Group Head in both Karvy & Magma Fincorp, he conceptualized & created L&D Function, introduced E Learning, Led OD interventions, managed senior level trainings, development of leadership competencies & restructuring & reorganization of businesses successfully.   A citizen of India, Deepak lives in Hyderabad. A keen Blogger, contributes articles on coaching in magazines, with a book in pipeline, Deepak also conducts in-house coaching skills program for leaders and managers. Among various models of coaching, executive coaching being one, he also handles group & tea m coaching sessions.   Deepak’s passion is leadership coaching, which to him is an experience in mindfulness. He combines group coaching with that of individuals to maximize value to the individual, team and company. He counts coaching legend Marshall Goldsmith as his influence, having been trained by him at Indian School of Business, Hyderabad on “Executive Coaching”.

Sanjeeva Shivesh
CEO, The Entrepreneurship School

Sanjeeva Shivesh is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of The Entrepreneurship School, India’s first dedicated school of entrepreneurship. TES is a true incubator for startups, founders and entrepreneurship, having built 3-+ ventures. Sanjeeva was a former civil servant, a strategy consultant and a private equity fund manager, before he turned into a serial entrepreneur. He founded Smart Wave Education, Smart Wave Consulting, LMR Connect and Restostay before starting The Entrepreneurship School and Saarathi FinMen. 
Sanjeeva is a B. Tech from Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi and MBA from Cranfield School of Management, U.K.

Asmi Patel
Founder & CEO, Go-BIO Retail

Asim is an IIT-Delhi & IIM-Calcutta alumnus, an accomplished serial entrepreneur & a seasoned business head. Over the past 25 years, he has entrepreneurially led one of his 5 startups from an idea sheet to global number one position as well as transformed multiple manufacturing businesses from underperforming to benchmark performance. These were global scale businesses with one of them operating zero-defect manufacturing facilities in multiple countries. 
His multi-functional experience in software, manufacturing, consulting, polymer converting industry, supply chain/distribution and mortgage finance has given him a nuanced all-round view of growing innovative businesses. Having thrice built teams, processes and partnering-based growth models to create & grow new businesses in unexplored Indian & global markets allows him to translate their learnings into new markets of the future with confidence.
Asim is Founder & CEO of GO-BIO Retail- his current startup to Invent India’s Gardening Enabler Ecosystem to Transform the Urban Gardening Experience by practically solving problems of computer vision, machine learning, algorithms and analytics in social platforms, and building rural-to-urban supply chains as applied to the large Indian market of living plants & gardening products retail, services & training. He operates out of a start-up office and urban garden he has created near IIT-Delhi campus.
With his personal learnings from a lifetime of creativity & jugaad, Asim believes in giving back by helping the current generation of young entrepreneurs navigate to success through winds that sometimes challenge their belief in their ideas & their self.

Lee Keshav
Co-Founder, Hello World Labs

Lee Keshav is one of the youngest and leading Creative Directors in the country. He was the first hire of Hike Messenger back in 2011 and was an integral part of building Hike from ground up as the Head of Design and UX. He also lead the product and experience design at Airtel's Wynk Music.

Keshav's experience in the deep end of modern startups gives him an excellent perspective on how to build great products and teams. He has also been a guest UX adviser for companies like Nokia, Microsoft, Yahoo Japan and more.

After leaving Hike in 2015 Keshav has been busy building his own ventures. Most recently he's co-founded a new technology startup called Hello World Labs. Alongside his co founder Shrivatsa Somany (ex Zomato) they are now focused on building a new ecosystem of smart apps.

On the weekends Keshav is usually busy racing cars or working with BMW India as a performance driver and brand ambassador. He is a former national championship runner-up and now also races internationally. He's planning to race an Aston Martin GT in the European Championship in 2016.

Neeraj Khurana
Co-Founder, TradeLogicSystems

Neeraj has Advanced Program Management & Entrepreneurial Marketing from Stanford University and has M.S. in Computer Science from DeviAhilya University. He started his career as Member of the Research Group at Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC) in Pune, Software Engg at Hughes Software Systems, a technolocy startup in Silicon Valley and was responsibile for various business and technology management positions at Cisco Systems, USA. He has spent 11 years in Silicon Valley, and brings solid experience of startup dynamics in Valley. He manages TradeLogic systems (focused on technology for financial & trading analytics) and InvestLogic Advisors (Focused on High ROI investment management and consortium portfolios).

Amit Rastogi
Consultant- Enabling Digital Transformation

Graduate Engineer from IIT and PGDM from IIM with rich experience in Improvement and Transformation of Processes leading to increase in revenue, simplification and cost cutting through the use of Software Products and Platforms, Analytics, Mobility solutions and Methodologies.

Siddhant Bhansali

Siddhant Bhansali is the Chief technological officer at keen interest in technology he has a Bachelors degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Illinois: Urbana-Champaign (UIUC), along with a MBA from Indian School of Business(ISB).              He has been working with technology companies for about 12 years and have mentored over 80-90 startups across multiple domains (not just tech). He has previously worked with Microsoft and was part of the Outlook Express, Windows Core, and Internet Explorer teams.

In addition, He had also setup and managed technology teams for two American companies. For LearnItLive (US), as CTO, He was instrumental in taking key business and technology decisions that helped shape the product. For LiveText (US), as India Head, He was responsible for both managing the technology development with teams across Delhi and Mysore as well as handling business development efforts. He was also part of the StartupChile program and have given talks on entrepreneurship to students.

Priyanka is an Independent Business Consultant helping businesses explore new markets.  She has been focused on growth strategies, building potential markets, expansion planning  and fund raising.
