A seasoned executive with over 30 years of business and operational experience in variety of fields from real estate development, finance, to high technology and strategic planning. Proven ability to manage concept-to-product cycles. Entrepreneurial view on business with focus on growth and results. Strong financial and organizational skills with focus on start-ups and emphasis on leadership, contracts, human resources and financial and legal transaction structuring. Over 20 years of international business experience in United States, Europe and MENA region.


Coaches and Mentors


Behzad Sadeghi

Behzad Sadeghi has close to 30 years of experience in both the technology and business ends of the software industry. In the late 90’s, he co-founded a US technology startup in the field of Elliptic Curve Cryptography, raised over $5 million in both debt and equity financing for the company over a seven-year period, and served as its VP of Business Development through the company’s sale to ICEsoft Technologies. Today, he advises software teams on how to produce high-quality software.



Mehran Davoudi
Independent Software Professional

He works as IT consultant for large companies in Iran, known for his experience in building successful large-scale software projects. Also he knows the Iran "Startup ecosystem" and usually is being invited as a mentor for startups

Seyed Jamal Yoosefi
Businessman

Civil engineer showed up in insurance industry
After years of activity in construction projects and cooperating with the World Bank for reconstructing areas stricken by earthquake, he changed his professional life path to Insurance Industry. Till now, he has been elected as the top sales representative of Karafarin Insurance Co for 4 consecutive years.

On the beside, He is currently studying EMBA in Industrial Management Institute of Iran (IMI) and tries to keep his ties with charity organizations as a social-cultural activist.

His idea of “Online Insurance” presented during the first Startup Weekend-Tehran, elected as one of the top 10 commercial ideas


AliReza Khodaie

His passion is “management” and this shapes most of his activities. He teaches, studies and works in three major fields of strategic and development management, project management and HRM. Recently founded “Business Hangout” for gathering who have common interest in management and business. His main career is management and business consultancy and has executed numbers of projects in this field. He is a mechanical engineer from SUT and University of Tehran MBA.


Asghar Niyati
CEO of Adak Co

MBA graduate from University of Tehran, Asghar is the founder and CEO of Adak Software Company, and a consultant to startup companies as well. He has beenpraised as "outstanding entrepreneur", twice provincewide and once nationwide. He is also the secretary of Zanjan Association of Entrepreneurs. It is 10 years that he introduces himself as an interpreter, since founding Adak running with 10 full-time and project based staff now.

He defines entrepreneurship as a lasting art which takes a lot of hard work; yet all the difficulties when mixed with joy of success and imagination of big dreams, he believes would turn into big steps toward growth and dignity.

Innovation and creativity, being goal-oriented and risk taker, hard work and consistency, visionary and imagination, and social participation and profitableness, In his opinion are the key factors of success for startups.

Ramin Khatibi
Product Design Director

Ramin is a design enthusiast who has started his work 12 years ago with graphic design. He was a co-founder of Seeb Mobile Solutions and has been helping many such companies on their journey to creating better products. Ramin is currently the Product Design Director of Samsson Group, and the Chief Creative Officer of Hooshmand Tadbir. He also consults Iranian and international startups in their products’ designs. He can help guide you achieve a better, more efficient and high-quality product.


Mohammad Komareji

Mohammad holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering (Control and Optimization) from Aalborg University where the education system is based on problem based learning (PBL) and team working. After some years of experience in industry and establishing a commercial and knowledge-based company in Denmark he joined SUTD (Singapore University of Tehcnology and Design). In SUTD the main aim is to present academic education alongside innovation to prepare students for the current challenging market which requires not only well-educated but also innovative people. Now beside directing the business development department of Shams investment company he follows academic activities as well.


Hossein Mohajeri

Hossein Mohajeri, an Electronics electrical engineering graduate of SUT (Sharif University of Technology) is a rewarded candidate of programming and computer national Olympiad and has been active in rescue and middle-sized footballer robotic research groups. With TESOL degree from Trinity College, London, he established a modern innovative method of language teaching by means of movies and AVAs. Mohajeri is one of the co-founders and managers of NAAB, a leading IT simulation company in Iran. He has been professionally working in development of advertisement, marketing and sales management of new-formed establishments.



Meysam Khosravi

His main interest is analysis of financial business systems in the field of new information and communication technologies. So far most of his activities have been associated with this interest. Financial issues, valuation, stock market and new businesses are his realm of research. After a decade of experience in Iranian communication industry nowadays he is with business development department of Shams investment holding.  Meysam holds a bachelor degree in economy and a master degree in planning and analysis of economic systems.



Sobhan Khoshsirat

PhD student of Science and technology policy, University of Tehran.
3 years experience in IT (system analysit)
3 years experience in research in the technology and Innovation studies.
Currently working in the vice presidency of science and technology, department of policy making.

How Iran' economy can become a knowledge based economy?

Chief Connector&Enabler Stage-Co

Patrick Bosteels is serial entrepreneur with failures and successes. Co-founded Stage-Co & CodeDojo Turkey. He refer to himself as a cineast and photographer. He worked long enough on a farm to understand how difficult it is. Creative and always positive. Innovation to him doesn’t mean a sh*t if it doesn’t solve a problem in a sustainable way. He loves organizing and bringing people together. He is also active in Startupbootcamp Istanbul as Chief Connector.

My name is Wout, I am very passionate about creating new opportunities in and around education, for people, companies and communities. Always keeping an eye out to share knowledge and create valuable connections along the way. Over the past two years I’ve done so for our Startup Gibbon a platform that helps companies share knowledge, educate employees and create a culture of learning.
I’m very engaged in the the startup scene in Amsterdam where I organise different meetups around community management, host workshops about customer development and organise Startup Weekend. Next to that I facilitate Startup Weekends around Europe as often as I can. A great way to learn and connect with the different entrepreneurial ecosystems around the world.
