Review agenda for the weekend and introduce speakers, coaches, and community leaders

Pitches Start
Optionally line up to give your pitch

Attendees vote for the top pitches

Form Teams
Teams start forming and discussing ideas

10:00 pm
Begin Work
Start to formalize teams and take an inventory of skills. Be honest, and direct about what resources and skills are needed for the weekend. You may stay and work as late as the venue will allow

Event Judges

Andrea Malouf
Country Manager at Aktis Strategy

Andrea Malouf is Head of Consulting at Aktis Strategy, an international development consultancy, and leads Aktis’s projects in Iraq. Andrea is also co-founder of Aktashif, a technology charity to promote knowledge, education and cultural understanding in the Arabic-speaking world. Andrea read Law at Leeds University in the north of England, and graduated with an MSc (Distinction) from Durham University, where she was a Ustinov College Scholar. She is a fluent Arabic, English and French speaker, and has, at various points in her career, also conversed in Burmese and Spanish to intermediate level.

Maysam Alhayali
HR Director at Zain Iraq

Maysam has been graduated from College of Dentistry, Baghdad University and with passion for management and leadership, she started to study higher education in health care management and public health. She  comes with more than 15 years in field of Human Resources & Operations management with International Organizations as UNDP, World Bank, Save the Children, ADIB and most recent as HR Director for Zain Iraq Telecom.

Marwan Ahmed
Operations Manager at Careem

Business Development and Marketing professional. He enjoys content writing on Iraq's ecosystem and has been featured on and Marwan is currently focusing on his start-up Mishwar and is continuously keen on seeking ways to advance entrepreneurship, progressive learning, and untraditional businesses in Iraq.
