Form Teams
Teams start forming and discussing ideas

Begin Work
Start to formalize teams and take an inventory of skills. Be honest, and direct about what resources and skills are needed for the weekend. You may stay and work as late as the venue will allow

David Coallier
Data Scientist, Founder & Angel Investor

David is a technologist, an avid learner, an angel investor, a startup advisor, and a serial entrepreneur that likes to share stories about his successes, acquisitions, exits, choices, and failures. He is currently the founder of Security as a Service company

Breda Kenny
Head @ Hincks Centre for Entrepreneurship Excellence

Dr. Breda Kenny is head of CIT’s Hincks Centre for Entrepreneurship Excellence and has many years lecturing and research experience in entrepreneurship, international business and management.  Breda is responsible for managing national and EU projects and research supervision to PhD level. She has been published widely in international peer reviewed journals such as The Journal of Small Business and Enterprise Development and The International Journal of Entrepreneurship and Innovation Management Breda obtained her PhD from the University of Limerick. The area of her doctoral work focused on networking capability and the international performance of High Tech SMEs. At a European level, Breda is a member of the board of the European Council for Small Business and Entrepreneurship. In Ireland, Breda is a founding board member of the Campus Enterprise & Entrepreneurship Network (CEEN) Initiative. Breda has extensive industry experience and is also co-founder and director of Surecom NS Ltd.

Paul Healy
General Manager @ The Rubicon Centre

Paul Healy is the Centre Manager of the Rubicon Centre, Ireland's largest enterprise incubator centre. He has grown the Rubicon since its Foundation in 2006, and is responsible for leading a team of specialists who support the next generation of start-ups in Ireland. With over 20 years’ experience in developing start-ups across all technology sectors, Paul has first-hand experience of raising finance, accessing new opportunities, strategy, and company development. Having been involved in the Rubicon Centre since its foundation, he has provided support to other organisations looking to launch their own incubator centre or other enterprise supports. He is a graduate of the University of Limerick and University College Cork. Paul is a board member of Cork Foundation and is a Strategic Advisory Board Member to a number of established Companies. Paul is currently a Working Group Member of the Department of Enterprise,Innovation & Jobs, Action Plan for Jobs 2014.

Ian Lucey
Tech Founder, Director & Investor

Ian Lucey is founder and CEO of Lucey, a cloud computing and web development company with offices in Dublin, London & Milan. 

Ian is also an angel investor through the Lucey Fund, and has made investments in 30 startups since the funds foundation 30 months ago.

Lucey are the 2013 Deloitte Fast50 Rising Star as the fastest growing young tech company in the Republic of Ireland.

Ian is currently a board member with the Irish Internet Association and was DIT Hothouse Entrepreneur of the Year 2010

David Sheehan
Branch Manager @ Bank of Ireland

David has 10 years business banking experience, joining Bank of Ireland in 2004 through the Business Banking Graduate Programme. He has since spent his career working with the mid corporate and SME sector, working both with established businesses and start-ups. His current role is Manager of Bank of Ireland's Fermoy branch working with a base of agri, commercial and personal customers. David holds a BSc Finance degree from UCC and he also is a Qualified Financial Adviser.

Dan Spicer
EMEA Community Lead @ Hootsuite

Dan Spicer heads up the EMEA Community team at Hootsuite - the world's most widely used social relationship platform allowing businesses and organisations to collaboratively execute social media strategies across multiple social networks from one secure, web-based and mobile dashboard. With over 10 million users worldwide, Dan has experience in growing and nurturing communities, executing strategies and delivering social media success across multiple languages. He was previously Head of Social at an independent UK digital agency leading social strategy and activation for a number of global brands.

Kieran Walsh
Co-Founder @ WhatSalon

Kieran has founded and exited businesses in a variety of fields - from e-commerce to fitness studios. He is passionate about startup life and is keen to share his experiences as well as to learn from others.
Having co-founded National Beauty Distribution in 2010, he has helped grow it into the leading PR, marketing a distribution company for emerging brands in the beauty industry in Ireland. Through the experience derived in the industry, he then co-founded WhatSalon - a mobile application that allows you to browse and book appointments in salons local to you. They have just closed their Series A and are now launching in London.

Joe Lennon
CTO @ ePubDirect

Joe Lennon is Chief Technology Officer at ePubDirect, leading their product, engineering and data teams. Joe is the author of two books, "HTML5 in Action" and "Beginning CouchDB", and has published dozens of technology articles and tutorials for IBM, that have been read by millions and translated into a dozen languages. Joe is very passionate about the convergence of technology and publishing, and is excited about how innovation is changing the way we produce and consume content.

Sarah Dineen
Co-Founder and MD @ Uniwink

Sarah Dineen is co-founder and managing director of UniWink, a new third level content market place that allows peer learning to flourish. Since launch in April 2014, they have received seed investment as Enterprise Ireland CSF Clients, expanding nationally and set to enter the secondary level market early next year. She was a participant on UCC Ignite Business Start Up Programme (2013/4) and NDRC Female Founders Programme (2014). She was awarded Cork City’s Best start up and best young entrepreneur and awarded a €20,000 investment.
Sarah has academic and commercial experience in sales and marketing and loves all things business.   She was previously a UCC Lecturer’s Assistant and Exam Corrector for the Department of Management & Marketing, specialising in Market Research and Consumer Behaviour.

Caroline Crowley
Founder @ CPC Outsourcing

Caroline is a chartered accountant and chartered tax adviser in the UK and Ireland. While working as a tax manager in London, Caroline identified a niche for a knowledge process outsourcing company to be set up in Ireland to support accountants and finance teams in the UK. The seeds were sown for CPC Outsourcing which has enjoyed tremendous success in 2014 and earned Caroline the title of Irelands Best Young Entrepreneur in the Cork North and West Area. Caroline is passionate about supporting start-ups, encouraging them to think of both global as well as local markets. Caroline has experience developing and growing export markets and challenging consumer behaviour patterns.

James Sugrue
Lead Architect @ Carma

James Sugrue is Lead Architect & Growth Hacker at Carma, a startup based in Cork that is focussed on solving traffic problems across the world. James is author of Beginning Backbone.js, and is an accomplished app developer, creating apps for iOS and Android. James is at his happiest when creating applications using Java, JavaScript or Objective-C, and hooking into useful APIs.
He has also started donate:code ( which matches developer skills with charities who need help building apps and websites.

John Peavoy
VP of Sales & Commercial Development

John has over 15 years experience selling new business for technically demanding and/or complex business solutions to blue-chip global OEM customers. Exceptional at defining and executing sales strategies, developing strong, high-level relationships, identifying business opportunities, building consensus internally and closing sales opportunities. John has proven himself as excellent at managing at all levels within an organization, including working with corporate management and boards.

Ruth Houlihan
Business Manager @ Bank of Ireland

Maria Tsitsopoulos
Regional Manager of Techstars Startup Programs

A Greek who was born and raised in London, with a degree in Spanish & Italian and a passion for people, cultures, and entrepreneurship. Currently the Regional Manager for the Western & Southern communities of the Techstars Startup Programmes and wants to help as many people as possible to fulfill their entrepreneurial dreams.
