Build a startup in 54 hours

Do you have an idea you'd like to pursue or a problem you'd like to solve but don't know where to start or who to start with?

Are you passionate about innovation? Technology? Fashion? Retail? This weekend is for you! Whether or not you work within these industries, your experience, passion and perspective can lend towards the development of a successful idea. Anyone can help disrupt an industry regardless of what their skill set is. Programmers, Marketers, Strategists, Creative Professionals, Inventive Students and all around driven people will come together in this weekend of collaboration and innovation.

Startup Weekend Fashtech is the perfect opportunity to pitch your idea, gather a team and see if you can turn your idea into a startup. We’ll give you the tools to get your idea produced in an incredibly short amount of time, test it with your would-be consumers and pitch your startup to a panel of judges.

“In just 54 hours, you will experience the highs, lows, fun and pressure that make up life at a startup. As you learn how to create a real company you’ll meet the very best mentors, investors, co.founders and sponsors who are ready to help you get started”. So whoever you may be and whatever dreams and aspirations you may have, come and take part in a weekend that could change your life! And even if it doesn't, you can be sure that you will come away from the event with an extremely awesome and memorable experience! So come and be part of a weekend of merging creative vision, technology and innovation in a collaborative environment, redefining the fashion landscape for the 21st century.

What do you need to bring?

Lots of energy! You'll pitch your own idea or listen to others, then vote on the most interesting ideas and form teams with diverse skill sets. You can come with friends, but you’ll get the full experience if you participate in separate teams. Remember, it’s all about the team.

Your idea should be something you have not previously worked on. The idea you pitch and the problem you set out to solve should explore the fashion industry through the lens of technology. Over the course of the weekend, you'll be challenged to create a prototype of your MVP, or minimum viable product, that fits the needs of your target customer. You'll get feedback, iterate, and likely pivot your approach entirely! Important: You cannot have worked previously on your idea.

TechStars Startup Weekend is a full weekend-long experience. Your ticket includes:
  • 7 full (and delicious) meals over the course of the weekend
  • Benefits and discounts from our global partners
  • One-on-one time with amazing mentors
  • A new network of developers, designers, and entrepreneurs eager, like you, to change the world.
  • All the internet and coffee you can consume.
