In 2012 he was appointed Head of Small Business and Agri with responsibility for the Bank's proposition for these key markets and for ensuring that the Bank continues to play a significant role in supporting small business and providing credit into the business/farming community.
In March of 2014 he took up the role of Head of Enterprise Development with responsibility for building the Bank's positioning as Ireland's Enterprise Bank and how it supports and engages SME's in enabling them to develop their business.

Prior to Cesanta, Sergey served as CTO of Netfort Technologies, an Irish network security startup, then worked at Google as an engineering manager. Sergey holds MS in Radiophysics and Electronics from Kiev State University. His main areas of expertise are service scalability, databases, networking, distributed computing.
He has extensive experience across digital banking, the payments industry and innovation in financial products. He has been responsible for Credit Card, Deposits and Current Account product strategies and has delivered multiple new retail products to the Irish market.
His recent role in Bank of Ireland looks at long term planning, consumer behaviour changes, market planning and incubation and the integration of fintech and innovative start-ups. He is responsible for Bank of Ireland workbench and Startlab initiatives which incubate and support the vibrant tech ecosystem across Ireland. He is also responsible for the Bank of Ireland Enterprise programme supporting business and community growth in Ireland through National Enterprise Towns and Awards and the digital platform Thinkbusiness.ie
Kirk works for MasterCard as the European Program Director for Startup Engagement and Acceleration. His day to day activities involve engaging, mentoring and accelerating high potential commerce focused Startups.
Following time at IBM and Merrill Lynch, David joined McKinsey & Company Consulting where he advised a wide range of clients including internet start ups, mobile phone operators and private equity firms.
After McKinsey, David joined the senior management team of ezetop as the Head of Online and Head of Product before leaving to advise a number of multi-nationals and start-up companies in the areas of online sales, technology and fund-raising.
David received a Masters in Business from Smurfit Business School, University College Dublin (2007) and a BA Mod in Computer Science from Trinity College Dublin (2006).
He is co-founder of Startup Newfoundland & Labrador and as Startup Ambassador is actively linking startups globally. As the first Entrepreneur-in-Residence at Memorial University, he was an strong advocate for student startups
