Valentina Borovaya
Google Analytics Premium Account Manager at Google

Valentina Borovaya is passionate Google Analytics user since 2008.

Originally from Kazakhstan, she moved to Dublin in 2013 and she is now helping major SEM agencies in Russia to master Google advertising products.

She is also a co-founder of 6 content-heavy travel and education websites. Check her blog here: http://borovaya.info - but be aware, it is in Russian ;)


Russell Banks
CEO at Investor Sheet

Russell is CEO of Investor Sheet and a customer acquisition specialist.

A huge supporter of the Dublin Startup Eco-System, curating the Startup Digest Dublin, producing DublinBeta and previosuly an organiser of  Startup Weekend Dublin!


David Bowles
Delta Partners VC

David Bowles joined Delta in 2012 where he focuses primarily on ICT opportunities in Ireland and the UK.

Following time at IBM and Merrill Lynch, David joined McKinsey & Company Consulting where he advised a wide range of clients including internet start ups, mobile phone operators and private equity firms.

After McKinsey, David joined the senior management team of ezetop as the Head of Online and Head of Product before leaving to advise a number of multi-nationals and start-up companies in the areas of online sales, technology and fund-raising.

David received a Masters in Business from Smurfit Business School, University College Dublin (2007) and a BA Mod in Computer Science from Trinity College Dublin (2006).

Colin Goulding

Colin joined Google in 2010 and is currently the head of SMB Publishing and App Developers for the Online Partnerships Group at Google along with a lead for Google Ireland's Start Up engagement program.

This team works with hundreds of thousands of publishers and app developers across Europe, Middle East and Africa to support, manage and grow AdSense, AdMob and DFP partnerships. Previously he was the EMEA and Global Lead for the AdSense scalable support and operations teams.

Prior to joining Google, Colin was involved with founding and working with a start-up focused on data management and visualization, as a consultant in the energy industry and spent a number of years as a spacecraft systems engineer at NASA JPL in Pasadena, California.

Colin holds a MBA from University College Dublin along with a B.E. and M.Sc. in Engineering from University College Dublin and a M.Sc. in Space Studies from the International Space University, Strasbourg, France.


John Kennedy
Editor at Silicon Republic

Editor John Kennedy is an award-winning technology journalist.

He joined Silicon Republic in 2002 to become the fulcrum of the company’s news service He was recipient of the Irish Internet Association’s NetVisionary Technology Journalist Award 2005 and Siliconrepublic.com has been awarded ‘Best Technology Site’ at the Irish Web Awards seven times. In 2011 he received the David Manley Award commending him for his dedication to covering entrepreneurs.

His interests include all things technological, music, movies, reading, history, gaming and losing the occasional game of poker.



Jeanne Kelly
Partner: Technology, Data Protection, Privacy and Contracts, LK Shields

Jeanne has had a market-leading commercial and technology practice for 20 years. She has led data protection compliance programmes for some of Ireland’s leading corporates as well as for multinationals with Irish operations.

Jeanne and her team provide a practical, solution-driven approach to data protection issues, and she has been a thought leader on GDPR preparedness strategies for several years, including during the negotiation period of the Regulation.

Jeanne is a regular speaker at conferences in Ireland and abroad on GDPR, legal issues for start-up and scaling companies and data privacy generally. Previous speaking engagements include IBA, ABA, UCD, TCD and Law Society of Ireland (including teaching on its MOOC on Data Protection Law).

I'm building a global community of SaaS companies @SaaStock. In my spare time I curate StartupDigest Dublin, and I previously spent 5 years supporting startups at NDRC


Eamon Leonard
Dubliner, Founder, Advisor, Angel.

Eamon Leonard is a founder, an advisor to start-ups, an angel investor, and a tech community organiser. Based in Ireland, he sold his company, Orchestra (a Platform-as-a-Service), to Engine Yard Inc., in 2011. There, he held the roles of VP Engineering and VP Developer Relations until August 2014.

He is currently in the process of founding a distillery, and will continue to invest in startup teams, products and opportunities.

Ed Fidgeon-Kavanagh
Chief Presentationist, Clearpreso

Ed is a pitch consultant who has helped startup clients raise over $20 Million in funding.

He helps his clients to deliver winning presentations that replace the usual “death by powerpoint” style of presentation with one that is simple, clear and engaging.

Having come from a business background he approaches presentations from both a business-sense as well as design standpoint, knowing that for a winning pitch both aspects need to be well thought out.



Paul Watson
CTO @Storyful - TECH MENTOR

Paul is a full-stack web developer and current CTO of Storyful with 12 years of experience in the industry. He previously worked as senior web-developer maintaining and developing features for Europe's largest
and most popular music video website, MUZU.tv. Prior to this Paul spent 5 years in the TSSG developing research ideas into commercially viable products. He founded and developed the initial FeedHenry offering out of the TSSG before moving onto industry partnership projects with O2 and Thomas Crosbie Holdings. Paul's primary technical skills are in Ruby on Rails, SQL, JavaScript, HTML and CSS.


Kim Pham
‎Head of Platform at Frontline Ventures

Kim has been working at early-stage startups in New York and Boston since she was 16, at companies like Blue Apron, Foursquare, and HowAboutWe. She received a Marketing & Computer Science degree at NYU, where she led NYC's largest student developer & designer organisation. After learning the ropes of early-stage investing at Atlas Venture (Cambridge, MA) and SoftBank Capital (NYC), she became founding partner of Dorm Room Fund, a $.5M student-run venture fund investing in startups throughout the East Coast. Kim moved to Dublin last June to join the Frontline Ventures team, where she focuses on their growing portfolio of enterprise SaaS companies.


Barry Hand
MD at Hand Made Marketing

Barry is a senior-level, digital strategy and eCommerce leader with a blend of marketing and technology experience and expertise. Responsible for double digit growth, multi-million euro budgets and high performance teams. 

He has previously held leadership roles with companies such as GrabOne and lastminute.com. A big reason for their success has been the ability to measure marketing activity and determine where the growth opportunities are – which is where Barry comes in.

He also helps marketers master website analytics with analyticstraining.ie and DIT's Msc. in Digital Marketing & Analytics


David Tighe
Head of Enterprise and Innovation, Bank of Ireland

Dave has spent 18 years in Retail Banking in Ireland after graduating from Trinity College. David also holds an MBA from Manchester Business School. 

He has extensive experience across digital banking, the payments industry and innovation in financial products. He has been responsible for Credit Card, Deposits and Current Account product strategies and has delivered multiple new retail products to the Irish market.
 

His recent role in Bank of Ireland looks at long term planning, consumer behaviour changes, market planning and incubation and the integration of fintech and innovative start-ups. He is responsible for Bank of Ireland workbench and Startlab initiatives which incubate and support the vibrant tech ecosystem across Ireland. He is also responsible for the Bank of Ireland Enterprise programme supporting business and community growth in Ireland through National Enterprise Towns and Awards and the digital platform Thinkbusiness.ie


Shonagh Hurley
EMEA Strategic Agency Consultant at HubSpot

Shonagh, a Start Up Weekend veteran, has experience across the full digital spectrum, from product development to online marketing to digital strategy. With a Masters and undergraduate in Computer Science, specialising in hardware description languages, from Trinity College, Shonagh's first role after university was with MCD, Ireland’s largest music promotor, where she started as a front end web developer and became Head of Digital shortly after. While at MCD she led all digital projects including app and web development for Oxegen, at the time Ireland’s largest music festival. Shonagh then joined a creative agency, where as she led the digital team and worked with global brands such as Live Nation, eBay, Coca Cola and Heineken. Key projects during Shonagh’s tenure at Thinkhouse included rebuilding the 3Arena and Bord Gais Energy Theatre’s digital assets.

Shonagh is now working as a EMEA Strategic Agency Consultant for HubSpot helping agencies, many of them at the start-up stage, integrate HubSpot software, scale and expand their businesses. 

Shonagh will be available at the weekend and happy to advise and chat on anything from design to product to growth.


Paul Killoran
CEO and Founder, ExOrdo

Paul is an engineer by trade and a boot-strapper at heart. For the past 4 years, Ex Ordo has tripled year-on-year revenue and secured customers like the European Space Agency, Harvard Business School and the largest IT company in the world. Ex Ordo was awarded Enterprise Ireland’s CSF in 2013 and now employs 13 people. Paul is a co-founder of The PorterShed, Startup Galway, Galway Beta, CodeNinja and Bizcamp.

Knowledge Areas: Software Engineering, User Experience, Customer WOW and Business Development.



Janice Valentine

With over 10 years Financial Services experience, Janice is expert on all things to do with corporate culture, internal communication, employee engagement & a champion of digital tech.

Janice has coached participants of corporate hackathons; supporting them harness their creativity & process their ideas into viable solutions to problems inherent within large corporate environments.

As founder of Great Life Distillery Janice’s mission is to help startups distil their big ideas into concrete goals that manifest in a kickass pitch. Janice’s moto is: An idea is not enough. It needs to have a clear purpose & a concise execution path that enables you to solve a problem or make something better; if it’s not that, then it’s not worth pitching.


Tracey Keogh
Community Manager at Bank of Ireland

Tracy is Co Founder at Lokr.

Previously Tracy has won best pitch at Startup Weekend Dublin and has also organised and been lead organiser at Startup Weekend Dublin!

She runs a number of community events, holds a board seat on the Irish Internet Assoc. and has experience in getting multiple startups off the ground.

Tatjana Lobza

Startup enthusiast with passion for social media and digital marketing.

Tatjana has extensive experience in account and relationship management. She has worked with a number of tech companies from start-ups to large multinationals on building teams and setting them up.

She has helped a number of start-ups with business development, strategy development and execution, digital marketing, sales, process creation and improvement and third party management.

She loves helping exciting projects happen!



Francesco Pongetti
Googler, MBA, Msc. Software Engineering

Francesco is currently working as anti-abuse engineer and analyst in the Product Quality department of Google. He has experience in coding front-end and back-end web applications and has spent sometime launching his own Android startup prior of joining Google. His technical skills include data analysis and languages such as Python and Google Closure.

Francesco received a MBA from Collège des Ingénieurs and a M.Eng. in Computer Engineering from Politecnico di Milano.


Luca Boschin

Luca Boschin is the co-founder and business leader of LogoGrab. Luca has extensive expertise in the development and commercialization of computer vision technologies.


Chris Murphy

Chris is currently launching London's newest co-working space The Den at Bedford Square.

Previously Chris managed Investor attendees at Web Summit and has previously worked with Percolate, LinkedIn and Enterprise Ireland.
