Do I need to come with an idea?

If you have an idea for a startup, then great! We hope you pitch for the weekend. If you don't have an idea, that's quite alright! Come and spend the weekend, listen to the ideas being pitched, and see if something piques your interest! Review agenda for the weekend and introduce speakers, coaches, and community leaders

Form Teams
Teams start forming and discussing ideas

Begin Work
Start to formalize teams and take an inventory of skills. Be honest, and direct about what resources and skills are needed for the weekend. You may stay and work as late as the venue will allow

Teams formed and setting up workspace for the weekend

Brain Shee (UL Lecturer)
Brain will give a presentation on the Lean Startup Canvas and the startup teams will have the opportunity of using this template to methodically plot the various steps in the process of bringing their ideas to fruition.

After-lunch check-in, status reports, call for help

Coaches help teams one-on-one. They are here to help!

Grant Liam

Liam Grant is an entrepreneur hailing from the rugged west coast of Co.Clare. He is currently CEO of LuvGuru, an app that crowd sources love, which was conceived at Startup Weekend Limerick. The app allows you to play cupid in your community and to find ideal dates picked by your mates. Liam founded his first business "Lahinch Surf Experience" in 2009. The company had grown to a market leader, employing five people when he exited in 2013. He also worked for startups like Synergy Organic Clothing in San Francisco and Caviar, one of the worlds biggest food tech companies. Liam is also involved in projects like the Moyhill Community Garden, which aims to promote sustainable agriculture, and is captain of the Irish Ultimate Frisbee team.
