Gareth Chambers
CEO Around Noon Ltd

Gareth Chambers is CEO of Around Noon Ltd, a sandwich and snack manufacturing company from Newry Co. Down. Around Noon employs 150 people and has a fresh logistics network throughout Ireland. His passion is grab-and-go food and during his 5 year tenure as CEO he has launched successful brand Scribbles, built a new factory and grown Around Noon to five times it's size. Gareth has a passion for business startups and has particular enthusiasm for design & brands that tell a story.


Briga Hynes
Entrepreneurship Lecturer at U.L.

Briga is a lecturer in Entrepreneurship at the University of Limerick and Programme Director for the MBS in International Entrepreneurship Management. Briga's teaching extends the area of entrepreneurship to include Enterprise Development, Business Consulting, Managing International Business Growth and Internationalising Entrepreneurial Ventures. Her teaching experience spans undergraduate, postgraduate and post-experience groups. 

Briga’s main research interests lie in entrepreneurship and SME growth, with a principal focus on an evaluation of the determinants of small firm growth; an investigation into the challenges of measuring small firm growth and the process strategy development in the SM


Ronan Skehill
Co-Founder and CEO - Cauwill

Ronan is a co-founder of Cauwill Technologies, a Limerick based independent software vendor, which provide enterprise-grade SaaS applications that capture and analyse customer sentiment. 
Within Cauwill Ronan is commercially focused but has a strong technology background. Cauwill were Intertrade Ireland Seedcorn winners and pitched in LeWeb as one of 16 top European startups.

Tony Treacy
Investor - Irrus Investments

Tony Treacy is a core member of Irrus Investments, Ireland's first Business Angel Syndicate. Irrus Investments invest in early stage companies and the expertise of its members is utilised to mentor and assist in the growth of those companies. Tony is Managing Director of Axiom Europe which provides subcontract Manufacturing, Test, Design and Sales services to major multinationals throughout Europe in the Electronics and Medical device marketplace. The company was founded in Ireland in 1995 but has since grown to a European wide business with bases in Ireland, Poland and Hungary and also provides services in several other countries in Europe. Axiom also invests in and works with start-up and established companies in Ireland and overseas. Tony graduated in Electronic Engineering from the University of Limerick. After graduation he worked in Electronic design, applications, sales and marketing roles for different multinational companies in Europe and the U.S. before founding Axiom. He is also a former regional Chairman of the Marketing Institute of Ireland, holds a Certified Diploma in Accounting and Finance and has participated in the Harvard Business School, Management Training Program. He is a Mentor in the Enterprise Ireland “Mentor Program” initiative.

Keith is a freelance UX designer based in the Mid-West who helps clients understand the importance of a design strategy while helping them develop the vision for their brand.

He has worked in a number of roles with companies spread across many industries in Ireland, the UK, and the United States. Having worked with global brands like Kelloggs, Dell, and Citibank Keith loves nothing better than taking a concept and creating something which both the client and end user will benefit from.

Aislinn O'Flynn
CEO / Designer - Sensomi

Aislinn O’Flynn is Nexus’s youngest entrepreneur in residence, having entered the UL Nexus Studio Programme just after finishing Art College at Limerick Institute of Technology. Her company, Sensomi, has blossomed out of her fourth year project – combining her talent and expertise in ceramics with an interest in people with sensory disabilities. Aislinn areas of expertise focus on user centered design and social innovation. Aislinn has recently received the award for "Best new idea" in the Limerick Finals of Ireland's best young entrepreneur so make sure you talk to Aislinn about your presentations!


David O"Shea
CEO and Co-Founder - nTrai

International sprinter and entrepreneur. Having represented Ireland in the 60m and 100m David saw a business opportunity. He knows the difficulty of funding a year of an elite sport. David knows the benefits that sponsorship can bring to corporate world and has created a platform nTrai.com. nTrai specializes in corporate sponsorship, crowdfunding and community building. Bringing the main sponsor closer to the sponsored project’s community. Halving the cost and doubling the impact for the sponsor, while making it easier and cheaper for sport enthusiasts to enjoy their sport and achieve their goals


Gillian Horan

Gillian Horan is a certified brand consultant, author, keynote speaker and a lecturer of Marketing and Entrepreneurship. Gillian runs The Pudding, a registered consultancy practice. As Chief Brand Consultant of The Pudding, she really believes in the Proof of the Pudding. If you build a strong brand, you build a strong business and you will see the results in your bottom line figures. The Pudding's mission is to help our clients understand and embrace the power of branding so they can truly 'live their brand'. With articles on branding and marketing featured in various business sites, Gillian enjoys sharing her expertise with the media. Gillian is a Director of the Institute of Management Consultants and Advisors (IMCA) and Vice President of Network Limerick.

Gillian Barry
Head of Innovation & Enterprise, LIT

Gillian is head of the Innovation & Enterprise Office whose mission is to deliver high quality support for aspiring entrepreneurs and innovators at the early stages of their startup journey in order to maximise the opportunity for venture success. LIT have the largest portfolio of enterprise, incubation and acceleration centres in Ireland with 7 centres across Limerick and Tipperary.  They have a highly successful RD&I function to support growing companies as well as startups who can scale, have 2 seed funds and run Enterprise Ireland’s National Entrepreneur Development Programme for emerging High Potential Startups called New Frontiers

Aodh has held the position of Director of Technology for iTRAC Global for the last 2 years. iTRAC Global is a cutting edge startup in the area of global trade & compliance, logistics and cloud technologies.

He has previously worked for large multinationals such as Intel & Motorola along with smaller SMEs on numerous projects from smart portfolio projects up to social networks & heavy data systems.

Founder

The ebullient Suzy Bureau (as she was referred to in TechCrunch) hails from Columbus, Ohio USA and is dedicated to building communities – locally & globally: from facilitating Startup Weekends in Mexico, Ireland and across the US, representing the US alongside delegates from 100+ other countries at Global Startup Youth in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to facilitating the invite-only Startup Extreme conference in Norway. 

She honed her technology & startup chops as the first product employee at CoverMyMeds, an HIT startup that grew to be Ohio’s first unicorn acquisition. 

Now, Suzy is focused full-time on bridging the gap between technology, social impact and sustainable entrepreneurship through the organization she founded, GiveBackHack. GiveBackHack starts with a weekend event pulling top hackathon participants together and continues throughout the year in communities to create lasting social enterprise.

Recently, Suzy was named the first “Create Columbus Visionary” by Columbus City Council and the Create Columbus Commission.
