David O'Flynn
CEO and Founder

David is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Tolisons Private Equity.He is a founding member of the Irish chapter of the Entrepreneur’s Organisation, CEO and Co-Founder of WhatSalon and currently serves as the Governor of the University of Limerick, as well as holding a number of Directorship positions in Tolisons’ portfolio companies. 
David’s personal business successes have been built on a strong understanding of national and international legislative regimes, his ability to identify and engage with new business opportunities and his drive to successfully deliver predetermined business objectives. 
Following legal training, David trained and worked as a tax consultant with the FDC Group, one of the largest accountancy firms in the country. Here he specialised in advising private clients as well as Irish based companies in relation to: purchase and sale of businesses, passing assets to family members, estate planning and providing personal tax and wealth management advice to high net worth individuals. 
David trained as an apprentice solicitor with Nagle & Co. in Cork. He has wide experience in land use, planning and environmental law. In particular, he has acted as external consultant to many major organisations within the extractive industry.He graduated from University College Cork with an Honours Law Degree. Subsequently he completed a Masters Degree in Law.

John Savage
Technical Director

John is Technical Director of Action Point, one of Ireland Leading IT services and Software Engineering Companies.

He is interested in Software System Analysis and Design with the ongoing aim of designing systems and frameworks that are robust in the face of evolving requirements while being performant, scalable and easily implemented/maintained. 

Particularly interested in mobile and cloud based applications along with traditional web and desktop applications. Always interested in new tools & techniques, while only deploying same when they are proven to be stable and unlikely to become obsolete in the short term.

• Received the graduate gold medal from UL for the graduating class of 2001

• The third person in the colleges’ history to graduate on an A1-average QCA of 4.0.

Received a scholarship from Intel IAD for exceptional college results (2000)

Ed Fidgeon-Kavanagh

Ed is a pitch consultant who has helped startup clients raise over $20 Million in funding.

He helps his clients to deliver winning presentations that replace the usual “death by powerpoint” style of presentation with one that is simple, clear and engaging.

Having come from a business background he approaches presentations from both a business-sense as well as design standpoint, knowing that for a winning pitch both aspects need to be well thought out.

Pat Carroll
Startup Community Manager Bank of Ireland

Pat works with Bank of Ireland as Enterprise & Community Manager for Munster, where he is focused on supporting SMEs, entrepreneurs & startups to succeed and grow.
Pat is also involved in a number of Bank of Ireland supported events including
Friday Breakfast Clubs, which are monthly business networking events which include Fireside Chats with successful local entrepreneurs. Pat is also Techireland’s Midwest’s advisor.
  Pat is well known as a 'connector;' who has learnt the importance of combining the online with the face-to-face in order to network really effectively. Prior to his current role with BOI, he worked for many years in sales and marketing during which time he built a Global Irish Social/Business Network and ran his own digital marketing company.

Kieran Normoyle
Managing Director Ocean Survivor

Founded Ocean Survivor 2014, Award winning Ocean Survivor are currently developing a simple to use product that mitigates the effects of hypothermia, while promoting comfort and mental well-being in a cold water survival situation. Ocean Survivor possesses a proactive approach of donating heat to the user’s body in a survival situation. The design was shortlisted top 20 in the world in the James Dyson award. Most recently Ocean Survivor  Limericks Best Start-up and won overall winner of IntertradeIreland prestigious Seedcorn competition securing €100,000 investment. 

Kieran graduated Product Design & Technology at the University of Limerick with an Honours Degree.

Martina is CEO and Co Founder of YellowSchedule. Yellowschedule drives efficiencies in Therapists schedules by enabling patient self-scheduling, reducing no shows and reducing administration. Customers increase their billable hours by an average of 22%. Winner of the Vodafone Startup Awards Women in Business 2013, Martina is mum to 3, a keen cook, a medium runner and a bad gardener

VP of Sales & Commercial Development

John has over 15 years experience selling new business for technically demanding and/or complex business solutions to blue-chip global OEM customers. Exceptional at defining and executing sales strategies, developing strong, high-level relationships, identifying business opportunities, building consensus internally and closing sales opportunities. John has proven himself as excellent at managing at all levels within an organization, including working with corporate management and boards.

Gillian is head of the Innovation & Enterprise Office whose mission is to deliver high quality support for aspiring entrepreneurs and innovators at the early stages of their startup journey in order to maximise the opportunity for venture success. Previously Tracy has won best pitch at Startup Weekend Dublin and has also organised and been lead organiser at Startup Weekend Dublin!
