Startup Weekend returns in Bolzano-Bozen!
Startup Weekend is a global grassroots movement of active and empowered entrepreneurs who are learning the basics of founding startups and launching successful ventures. It is the largest community of passionate entrepreneurs, with events in over 100 countries and 600 cities around the world, gathering people together for a weekend long of workshops to pitch ideas, form teams, and start companies.

All Startup Weekend events follow the same basic model: anyone is welcome to pitch their startup idea and receive feedback from their peers. Teams organically form around the top ideas (as determined by popular vote) and then it’s a 54 hour frenzy of business model creation, coding, designing, and market validation. The weekends culminate with presentations in front of local entrepreneurial leaders business angels and venture capitalists. Whether entrepreneurs found companies, find a cofounder, meet someone new, or learn a skill far outside their usual 9-to-5, everyone is guaranteed to leave the event better prepared to navigate the chaotic but fun world of startups. If you want to put yourself in the shoes of an entrepreneur, register now for the best weekend of your life!

Is this event for you? The theme of this Startup Weekend is “business startups for social innovation”: we want you to put your creativity at work in designing your business venture which creates value by solving tough societal issues. We encourage the participation of people coming fro m the world of business startups, as well as from non-profit organizations, traditional social sectors and the public sector. We look forward for such cross-fertilization to ignite the creation of social innovation ventures focused in finding sustainable solutions to big societal problems. Startup Weekend attendees’ backgrounds are roughly 50% technical (developers, coders, designers) and 50% business (marketing, finance, law).

What unites all attendees is a common interest in entrepreneurship: whether a serial entrepreneur or new to the startup scene, every attendee is interested in working with a like-minded, motivated and skilled team to develop a product or business in one weekend.
