Startup Weekends are 54-hour events where developers, designers, marketers, product managers and startup enthusiasts come together to share ideas, form teams, build products, and launch startups!

Startup Weekends are weekend-long, hands-on experiences where entrepreneurs and aspiring entrepreneurs can find out if startup ideas are viable. On average, half of Startup Weekend’s attendees have technical backgrounds, the other half have business backgrounds.

Startup Weekends are specifically designed for entrepreneurs looking for feedback on an idea, are interested in finding a co-founder, would like to learn a new skill, or would like to test the entrepreneurial waters by joining a team. Startup Weekends are risk-free environments where everyone is expected to roll up their sleeves and dive into the exhilarating world of startups.

Beginning with open mic pitches on Thursday of each event, Individuals and teams are encouraged to bring their best ideas and inspire others to join their team. Over the next Friday and Saturday teams will design, develop, research and create business plans for their ideas. On Saturday evening teams demo their prototypes and receive valuable feedback from a panel of experts, as well as the opportunity to win valuable prizes.

ستارت أب ويكند الجامعة الاردنية هو حدث من 54 ساعة نشاط مكثفة حيث يجتمع رواد أعمال محليون، مطوروا وب، مصممون، خبراء تسويق، مديري إنتاج، أناس متحمسون لبدء شركات ناشئة، وأي شخص مهتم ببدء عمل أو شركة ومساعدة المجتمع المحلي. يجتمع هؤلاء معاً ليشاركوا الأفكار، يشكلوا الفرق ويطلقوا شركات ناشئة.

ما هو الهدف من تنظيم هذا الحدث؟
يهدف الحدث إلى تسليط الضوء على ريادة الأعمال وأهميتها للشباب ليصنعوا فرصتهم بأنفسهم و يقرروا مصيرهم الخاص بهم في ظل مستقبل مجهول ويطلقوا العنان لإبداعهم. وريادة الأعمال هي الأمل الأكبر والعامل الأساس الذي يمكن الشباب من المشاركة بشكل فاعل في مواجهة المصاعب القادمة وبناء مستقبل بلدهم.

من يقوم بهذا الحدث؟
نحن مجموعة من الشباب المتحمس للريادة والأعمال الناشئة. نهدف إلى تنظيم حدث ستارت أب ويكند ، كجزء من رؤيتنا الكبيرة في نشر البيئة الريادية التي سيقودها الشباب.

Form Teams
Teams start forming and discussing ideas

Begin Work
Start to formalize teams and take an inventory of skills. Be honest, and direct about what resources and skills are needed for the weekend. You may stay and work as late as the venue will allow

Nour Khrais
Founder and CEO @ Maysalward

Founder and CEO of Maysalward and Chairman of Jordan Gaming Task Force with over than 14 years of international experience in the Online and Mobile Value Added Services. Prior to forming Maysalward, he worked in a multicultural environment between VAS companies in Jordan,Dubai,Egypt,Qatar and France. Nov 2003 under a Glocalized vision KHRAIS Launched the first Mobile Game Development operation in the Middle East Region offering unique games targeting the Middle East, Europe and Latin American Markets     KHRAIS holds a Master in International Business, Global Marketing and Internationalization, Diploma in Mobile Telecommunication and Bsc of Agriculture Engineering. His passion for Games and mobile entertainment enforced with strong a business vision and management in mobile value added services guarantee the success and uniqueness of product and services production.   Khrais is a Certified Scrum Master in video gaming.

Rami Al-karmi

Rami is a proud geek, investor, keynote speaker and advisor. He is the chief innovation officer at Jordan Ahli Bank and CEO of Jordan Ahli Bank’s financial technologies company (Ahli Fintech).  Rami is a mentor at 500 Startups, founded his 1st startup at the age of 19 and currently serves on the board of F03 Venture Partners,, Pixel & Theory,, Al Raed Arabi School, and WAKE.

Anas Alchalabi

Anas  is the International Product Manager of Kiron NGO in Berlin. he worked for UNICEF as a Project Technical Officer before he was the SW Organizer for TechStars,USA where his mission was developing a sustainable startup environment in the region for both refugees and host communities, His background includes various responsibilities in both the NGO and the Tech industry since he was actively working with local and international organizations in the field since 2012 in Iraq, Syria, Turkey, Lebanon and Jordan.
