Startup Weekend Amman - SDG Edition

English Below,

Startup Weekends is an event where developers, designers, marketers, product managers and startup enthusiasts come together to share ideas, form teams, build products, and launch startups!

The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are a collection of 17 global goals set by the United Nations in 2015. The goals are broad and interdependent, yet each has a separate list of targets to achieve. The SDGs cover social and economic development issues including poverty, hunger, health, education, global warming, gender equality, water, sanitation, energy, urbanization, environment and social justice.

Startup Weekends are weekend-long, hands-on experiences where entrepreneurs and aspiring entrepreneurs can find out if startup ideas are viable. On average, half of Startup Weekend’s attendees have technical backgrounds, the other half have business backgrounds.

Beginning with open mic pitches, Individuals and teams are encouraged to bring their best ideas and inspire others to join their team. Teams then will design, develop, research and create business plans for their ideas. On the last day, teams demo their prototypes and receive valuable feedback from a panel of experts, as well as the opportunity to win valuable prizes.

The tickets are 5 JDs for Students & 10 JDs for Employees
