Max Gurvits
CCC Startups

Max Gurvits is a US/European entrepreneur and investor. Graduated as a lawyer, Max founded an online legal services company in Amsterdam in 2008. In 2011, he sold the business and moved to Bulgaria, where he co-founded one of the biggest regional tech acceleration programs and funds (Eleven Startup Accelerator and EUR 12m seed fund). Active in Europe and the Middle East as startup advisor and (angel) investor, Max is particularly focused on Eastern Europe and the Balkans.
In 2014, Max co-founded CCC Startups, a partnership focused on investments and ecosystem-building across Europe and the Middle East, producing Startup AddVenture events and launching a new regional investment fund in 2015.


Sergiu Botezatu

Sergiu has over 20 years working experience in development with different multilateral and bilateral international institutions developing assistance for Moldova and many other countries like Morocco, Romania, Armenia, Egypt, Kyrgyzstan, Iraq, Georgia, etc. Sergiu has a PhD and MA in Economics.


Anca Albu
Social Architect @ CEE Changers

Anca had a crucial role in the Startup Weekend core team since 2010, and as their Central and Eastern Europe Regional Manager, she was one of the most instrumental people in setting ablaze the startup revolution that engulfed the region. As the founder of CEE Changers, she is currently working on creating and growing the global startup community, focusing on post-communist countries and the way cross-sector collaboration and shared values can create a collective impact in the East-Central European region.

Jennifer Austin

Director, Spherik Accelerator, working with start-ups to help them build connections to and compete in the global market.. Following her passion for building things from the ground up and general adventure, she moved to Romania after completing her MBA at UCLA Anderson. Prior to coming to Romania, she established a boutique consultancy in the Chinese market focused on business development, market entry, personal branding, and cross-cultural communication. She has worked in diverse fields and functions, including for Boston Scientific Neuromodulation, DLA Piper Law Firm, Vittana Foundation (microfinance), and others, leading projects on 4 continents.


Gary Whitehill

Gary Whitehill, nicknamed “The Sheriff” by AOL and "The Harry Potter of Global Entrepreneurship" by Globo, Gary is the only person in history to travel from continent-to-continent studying comparative entrepreneurship and innovation. Having spent time in more than 40 countries, Gary believes both are the answer to the great debate toward the way forward for all of humanity, not just the motivated entrepreneur. As a global social reformer, serial entrepreneur, educator, and mentor, Gary advises Presidents and Prime Ministers, Fortune 100 CEO’s, economic development offices, incubators, accelerators, think tanks and entrepreneurs on both the art and science of entrepreneurship, innovation and economic development.


Grigore Raileanu
Founder at Retently

Grigore Raileanu is a 12+ year serial entrepreneur, founder of REMSYS and Noction. He recently started Retently, a SaaS customer satisfaction tracking service. He is mostly involved in product management and growth.


Artur Gurau
Founder at Rockit Conference, CEO at Granat

Digital communication strategist. From 2011 CEO of Granat. Launched ROCKIT in 2014 and co-founded Rockit Academy in 2015. Interested in startups, social entrepreneurship, tech, media, politics and football.)


Kumail Jetha

General Manager at Endava Moldova, entrepreneur and executive with UK & CEE startup experience.Kumail is a UK IT executive with an entrepreneurial spirit and a fun approach to teamwork. He has over 16 years international IT startup, consulting and management experience. Graduated BSc Information Systems from the University of Leeds. He is from London and has lived and worked in the UK, Australia, USA, Romania and now Moldova.Most recently he has spent the last 7 years setting up and developing businesses in RO and MD. Previous experiences include working in gaming product development, team leadership and running a skateboard clothing company!
He specialises in the creation and nurturing of Agile teams and high-growth businesses.In his spare time he travels, plays tennis, practices tai-chi and enjoys the zen of golf.


Vitalie Esanu

Vitalie Esanu is one of the most successful IT entrepreneurs from Moldova. He is the founder of Evisoft and Privesc.Eu. One of his first achievements recognizedinternationally is Camera Genius, an application that reached No.1 in top US chart and in several other countries.
Vitalie has been programming since he was 12 years old (1988). At College of Informatics and Technical University of Moldova he gained a strong foundation in computer science theory in addition to experience in actual software development through several international companies, side projects, and a couple entrepreneurial endeavors.He loves programming and especially enjoys working with the full stack. On his own time, he has recently worked with bitcoin technologies, mining and blogging.
