Startup Weekend is a 54-hour event where developers, designers and business folks come together to pitch an idea and launch a business, all

We’re back with the 9th edition of Startup Weekend Moldova! Join us on November 10, 11, and 12, 2017 at Tekwill.

Startup Weekend is a 54-hour event where developers, designers and business folks come together to pitch an idea and launch a business, all in one weekend. Yeah, crazy! (By the way, work at night is also possible). It is a mighty opportunity to test startup ideas, meet potential co-founders, build the community in Republic of Moldova and launch your next startup! Everything happens like a competition – jury, consisting of professionals, investors and business angels, is judging the final businesses.

From dawn till dusk, for three days in a row, participants will begin with Friday night pitches and will continue through brainstorming, business plan development, and basic prototype creation. Startup Weekend will culminate in Sunday night demos and presentations in front of local entrepreneurial leaders. Getting your idea funded is quite thrilling! So do your best to impress investors.

The event will be a part of Chisinau Startup Week – a series of entrepreneurial events running for five days. Also, it will be part of the Global Entrepreneurship Week, competing with over 200 similar events worldwide, the winning team will go to Global Startup Battle.

Chisinau Startup Weekend is organized by National Association of ICT Companies (ATIC) with the support of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and the Government of Sweden in the framework of the project “Development of Moldova ICT Excellence Center” -Tekwill, in partnership with iHUB Chisinau
