Review agenda for the weekend and introduce speakers, coaches, and community leaders

Pitches Start
Optionally line up to give your pitch

7:30 pm
DInner and Networking
Eat food, share ideas, practice pitches, get to know fellow participants

9:00 pm
Attendees vote for the top pitches

9:15 pm
Form Teams
Teams start forming and discussing ideas

10:00 pm
Begin Work
Start to formalize teams and take an inventory of skills. Be honest, and direct about what resources and skills are needed for the weekend. You may stay and work as late as the venue will allow

Friday April 10th

Teams formed and setting up workspace for the weekend

Casey is the CEO of and the Producer for Stolen Innocence.

karmath Dangol

Prior to joining CloudFactory, Karmath held leadership positions at two of the top software outsourcing companies in Nepal after returning from the US where he lived with his family for over a decade. 

In the States he was an Engineering Contractor at Google Inc and also worked at eBay Inc. as Senior Manager of Internet Marketing Solutions. Karmath holds a degree in Bachelors of Science in Computer Science & Mathematics from Metropolitan State College of Denver.

Beside this he was startup co-founder of (now, a direct marketing company that provides a cooperative database for acquisition marketing to over 700 catalogs (competes with Abacus Direct, a division of DoubleClick).

Rupesh has filled many shoes and received honors for his achievement. He received, “Nepal Bidhya Bhusan Padak “Kha”” in 2009. 

Professionally he has managed multiple venture at the same time, i.e. Peltz shoes and and Fifth Dimension at the same time which grew under his leadership. Moreover he believes in passing on the knowledge which he has been sharing to Management students at KUSOM and visiting faculty at Ace Institute of Management. 

He is also one of the force behind the Idea Studio.

Brijendra R. Joshi

Brijendra R Joshi, IT Professional, has 15 years of work and entrepreneurial experience with multiple startups in IT. He is a co-founder/Chief Operating Officer at Rooster Logic, an ICT company that works with big data and focuses on Research and Monitoring.

He is also Co-Chair, Nepal Entrepreneurs’ Hub that organizes Startup Weekend Kathmandu; Founder, Nepal Rises which is a nonprofit volunteer led post-earthquake relief and rebuild organization; Past President, Himalaya Toastmasters Club, Nepal and one of the starter of Nepal Graphic Designers Network.

Suman Shakya

I am a consultant, entrepreneur, and a trainer. A Co-Founder of Nepal Entrepreneurs' Hub which fosters entrepreneurial ecosystem to build Nepal as an economically empowered nation. I am part of World Bank InfoDev consulting team that works with Innovation and Entrepreneurship under Trade & Competitiveness.  

My initiatives include - SmartPaani, a private company that provides sustainable water management solutions in Nepal and Rooster Logic, a technology company that enables organisations to make decisions based on evidence. Both are award winning companies.

I completed Diploma in Foreign Trade and MBA. Taught Marketing, Communication, Strategic Marketing and Services Marketing at different colleges and Universities for over 15 years. Currently, I am Area Director I3/D41 and Past President of Everest Toastmasters Club.
