Startup Weekend goes camping

What’s better than building a startup within 54 hours? Building a startup within 54 hours while camping of course!

That is correct, we’re going on a summercamp in June. And not just any summercamp, but Startup Weekend Groningen Summercamp! During Startup Weekend itself, we’re already building a very strong community. We want to take this to a higher level, by setting up our own Startup Weekend Groningen Camping. So twice the fun, whilst working your asses off to build your newly founded startup.

During Startup Weekend you will have the opportunity to pitch your awesome idea to transform it into an actual startup. Together with a group of other enthusiastic attendees you’re going to make it happen. You will be going through all the phases of building a startup in turbomode. You will be guided and coached by professionals from all over the field. And finally, as soon as you’re finally done with your minimum viable product, exhausted by all the hard work and maybe even a little hungover from last night (it happens, yes), you will present your brand new startup to a very severe jury. They will decide which team is going home as the true winner of Startup Weekend Groningen Summercamp 2017. So what are you waiting for? We dare you to join us in our awesome camping adventure to be the founder of your dream-startup!

We will arrange tents, you just bring your airbed, gear and blanked. We have an indoor working space, so your computer will be safe with all weather types.

Event Judges

Nick Stevens
Chief Digital Officer at Digital Office Groningen

Nick has been as part of more than fifty Startup Weekend events, as attendee, winner, organiser and facilitator. He is an entrepreneur, ecosystem builder, and professional event MC/host. When he’s not drinking nerdy coffee, he mostly spends his time helping others to navigate towards an uncertain future. His ability to cut through bullshit in a heartbeat ensures that there is never a dull moment around him. Speaking about and helping people to make business an impactful force for good (by combining purpose with innovation) is where you’ll feel his real energy
