The MediArena Business Cluster is a unique collaboration project between global technology corporations, national broadcasters and small, forward-leaning meditech entrepeneurs - all situated in Bergen, Norway.
Mediarena is owned by Media Region Bergen, a membership organisation with 40+ member companies and institutions - and growing. The following companies and institutions are present in the board: TV2, NRK, Bergens Tidende, Bergensavisen, Vizrt, University of Bergen and Sixty AS
The aim is to let the collaborative spirit in the region become an asset for increased innovation, distribution and commersialization of the ideas of tomorrows media industry
The project is founded by Norwegian Research Council, SIVA and Innovation Norway, and run as a non-profit company for the benefit of the partnering companies. The aim is to let the collaborative spirit in the region become an asset for increased innovation, distribution and commersialization of the ideas of tomorrows media industry. The project team facilitates conferences, seminars and workshops & currently develops experimental shared digital webservices to increase interoperabilty in the value chain. The project works closely with investors and partners in public sector/science to help startups succeed and within a shorter timespan reach an international customerbase.
