Like no one else, DPL is setting a trend in Pakistan defying popular culture with its own counter-culture movement called "Rebel Ethos". The need for counter-culture arises since the established norms and beliefs of the society in the sub-continent are mired with slave mentality that kills innovation. DPL's mission statement hence: "Liberating minds to become the model IT enterprise in the region".
Syed founded DPL in 2003 with three co-founders straight out of university. Learning from its ruthless mentor i.e. the market, DPL is now a multi-million dollar company that has top global companies as its clients in the US and Northern Europe. Syed wants to build DPL into the first large-scale IT company from Pakistan that can compete at global stage with likes of InfoSys and Accenture. In order to achieve its goals, DPL is focusing on building a team comprised of top talent and giving them an environment and culture that is no less than the Silicon Valley. DPL has already won various awards and recognition and currently going through high-growth phase.

More data is produced globally in the last two years than in the previous 3000 years of humans activity. Most of this data is openly accessible. Therefore, the future challenge for decision-makers is not finding data: the challenge is efficiently managing and digesting an explosion of public data. Pakistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are no exception. The Virtual Platform for Peace and Development is our response to the challenge. The Virtual platform will collect open data and visualize and analyze this data in a useful way for goverment decision makers. At its core: the platform will equip KP decision makers with a new set of “eyes and ears” to explore data that usually already exists, but that was at a practical level, hard to use. This can help make better decisions and policies.
