Startup Weekend Fashion & Tech Poznan

The next edition of Poznań Startup Weekend: Tech – Design – Fashion is up on 26th-28th September! Poznań is proud to join big fashion capitals: New York, Milan, London and Paris, and take part in a Global Fashion Battle - the biggest Fashion & Technology startup competition in the world. On the 18th of October, all finalists will compete in Stary Browar in front of an acclaimed and challenging international jury. We want to encourage you to look at fashion and design through the prism of the latest technologies and their potential. During the event, mentors will help you to develop business ideas connected with, among others: internet of things, e-commerce and marketplace platforms, wearables, solutions for designers, retailers and stores.

Why Tech, Design and Fashion? Because „sometimes geeks can be chic!“ as it was said by Anna Wintour, editor-in-chief of the Vogue U.S. Technology is everywhere – is a part of our world, the same as design and fashion!
Global Fashion Battle is made possible by UP Global and the Stary Browar, the organizer of the Art & Fashion Forum powered by Grażyna Kulczyk. It becomes a part of this year’s Forum themed 'CHIC GEEK'.

* All Startup Weekend events follow the same basic model: anyone is welcome to pitch their startup idea and receive feedback from their peers. Teams organically form around the top ideas (as determined by popular vote) and then it’s a 54 hour frenzy of business model creation, coding, designing, and market validation. The weekends culminate with presentations in front of local entrepreneurial leaders with another opportunity for critical feedback.

* Art & Fashion Forum, initiated by Grażyna Kulczyk, is an open platform of inspiration and education. The motto of this year’s 8th edition of AFF is CHIC GEEK, a symbol of a merger between fashion and new technologies. A cycle of expert seminars, workshops with the best specialist in the world, Global Fashion Battle and New Market – these are only few of the numerous initiatives exploding with creativity which are becoming part of the 8th edition of the event.
