Startup Weekend is unique opportunity if you want to make a first step to START with your idea and BUILD a startup.  We are open to support all good startup ideas but looking especially for projects that can use the potential of AI - best one will receive special Jury Award and a chance to be selected to pitch at finals during Global AI Summit in Paris!

All Startup Weekend events follow the same basic model: anyone is welcome to pitch their startup idea and receive feedback from their peers. Teams form around the top ideas (as determined by popular vote) and embark on a three-day frenzy of business model creation, coding, designing, and market validation. The weekend culminates with presentations in front of local entrepreneurial leaders with another opportunity for critical feedback!

Over 12 years experience in IT. True enthusiast of wide IT and new mobile technologies. Focused on SMB sector in CEE market and big supporter of any activities for this sector. 
Responsible for preparing a full product strategy from simple brainstorm to complete execution, launch and optimization. Strong supporter of customer relation built upon attentive listening, UX tools implementation, gathering feedback and dialogue. Evangelist of team work, group support and open-mind solutions. Do not accept word "Can't be done", instead preffer to see challenge than a problem. My technical background and experience allows me to work effectively in advanced technological environment. Specialties:

Hubert Dyba
Head of Center for Creative Industries at Academy of Arts in Szczecin

Experienced innovation consultant with main focus on business models of technology startups. Industry agnostic, looks for innovation patterns everywhere. Facilitator of human centered design approach, worked in this methodology with organisations at regional, national and european level. Judge in MIT Enterprise Forum startup accelerator and various startup bootcamps. Stanford University alumni. Conducts innovation audits, designs business models and asseses market opportunity of new ventures. Combines theories with practice, models with implementation. Happy to help young companies grow.


Wiktor Rutka
AI/ML Expert, Intive

Senior full stack developer and system engineer with over 12 years professional experience on development or system administrator roles. His favorite areas are systems design, image processing and machine learning. Experienced and very enthusiastic to Python, TensorFlow and Unix systems as well as network issues.

For 5 years he is working on ML algorithms (as a site project) and since 1 year he is doing this professionally. He's main area is computer vision and image processing. Currently working on face recognition projects and tracking algorithms.

Jan Filipowiak
CEO of Pixel Legend, Founder of Emb3d & Pastguide

Jan runs Pixel Legend, software house delivering stuff mainly for UK & US startups and he is responsible for business development in Emb3d - platform to embed virtual reality in real locations for architects and designers. It’s distribution for the tourist market codenamed Pastguide was the first project in Poland to receive SME Instrument innovation grant directly from EU Commission and since then it’s developed in several locations with the support of Helsinki-based accelerator Creatifi. Jan founded his first business in 2004, his companies worked for known brands like Dell, Amnesty International & Mercedes Benz. He likes to help young companies in their search for business model, technical advice or financing and sometimes jumps on stage to tell about his experience and projects.

Jarosław Gilewski
AWS Cloud Architect

Full Stack Software Engineer with almost 20 years of experience developing and deploying desktop, web and mobile applications and services in varied domains. For the last few years focused on AWS solutions especially in the area of AI and BigData. Co-organizer of AWS User Group Szczecin. Currently working as a Senior Principal Software Engineer at Intive on AWS serverless solutions and containerized services. At home playing with his own computer vision projects (as a learning path) using Raspberry Pi and Nvidia embedded hardware.

Dige.pl

Managing Partner at Dige, Szczecin-based interactive agency / software house house building modern, web and mobile-based technology products that support everyday work and  help solve problems of their users - both corporate clients and the 'average Joe' users.   Dige develops web and mobile apps for corporate clients (Toyota, Ecolab, BASF among others), but also designs and creates it's own internal projects that grow into fully-fledged products.   Among Dige's major successes was creating and growing one of the biggest knowledge-related sites in the polish web (zapytaj.onet.pl)   Marcin Skonieczny, having a non-IT background (which he finds an advantage) is a link connecting the developers and the average users. This lets him speak both languages - the developers' and the non-technical, end-users'. In his journey accompanied by: wife, kid#1, kid#2

Attorney-at-law and Patent Attorney, LL.M. (Rostock), advises both experienced companies and startups commencing their way to glory in projects located in Poland and abroad. Open source enthusiast, member of the community of licensing lawyers within the Free Software Foundation Europe - FSFE Software Freedom Task Force. Fintech specialist (including government licenses procedures and PSD II). By the way - GDPR is not an obstalce for most companies


Izabela Disterheft
Business Development Director

Business Development Director at Logisfera Nova Ltd. responsible for the digital healthcare operations.
Before, she was coordinating the biggest polish ICT cluster Interizon (over 100 members).
As the General Director of Gdansk Science & Technology Park (GSTP) she managed the team of ca. 30 industry experts, assuring the smooth operation of the GSTP (over k40 m2 of laboratory, production and office space, over 100 companies representing the ICT and MedTech sectors). Also, she was responsible for supporting and enabling the GSTP’s residents sustainable growth and development.
�She’s been training on alternative business models and pitching for over 5 years already. She serves as a juror, eg. at MIT TR_Innovators under 35.
Also, she is a mentor at Lean in STEM program, Ambassador of Startup Poland and author of quite a few initiatives.

She is a strategy-focused Head of Marketing helping AI and product-first companies grow. Her approach is data driven, yet focused on human behaviours, needs and expectations. Entrepreneur, communications consultant & interim manager, Startup Weekend Global Facilitator. Since 2011 has helped over 30 early-stage brands to enter the market or improve an online image. Former non-executive director of the Black Pearls VC, where she has gained experience in the venture capital market. In 2015 co-founded 150sec.com, an international information service on business and new technologies. She supported the National Centre for Research and Development as an economic expert in evaluating grant applications for innovative R&D projects. She also serves as a Global Facilitator, Organiser & Mentor at Techstars Startup Weekend program, speaker and panelist at international startup, IT and media conferences.
