Startup Weekend Szczecin - Smart City is a great event for all who want to move from idea and DO real startups and meet awesome people. 

All Startup Weekend events follow the same basic model: anyone is welcome to pitch their startup idea and receive feedback from their peers. Teams form around the top ideas (as determined by popular vote) and embark on a three-day frenzy of business model creation, coding, designing, and market validation. The weekend culminates with presentations in front of local entrepreneurial leaders with another opportunity for critical feedback!

Marcin Kaczmarek
CEO of Consileon Poland

Marcin Kaczmarek is a CEO of Consileon Poland - nearshore software house, for over 10 years he has been cooperating both big corporations and startups from Europe and Silicon Valley. His mission is to repair IT mostly by following principles of agility. So if you would like to know why parts of your IT should be done with external company, how to select good external software house and how to create win-win relation with it, Marcin is there for you, and he will be the right person to talk. "Proud to be different” in  IT is his claim and personally he is a big fan of basketball.


Michał Szyndel
CTO at Stagelink / Techstars Alumni

Michał is CTO of Stagelink, Berlin-based funded startups helping online creators leverage their offline potential. He graduated from Berlin Techstars class of 2015 and is eager to share learnings and experiences. Agile enthusiast and practitioner, he has hands-on experience in building early stage startup from validation to scaling stages.

For more than 10 years has been actively working in the field of regional and national development, working with national and regional institutions and supporting the regional business environment - institutions and companies. The Managing Director of the Business Development Centre in The West Pomeranian Business School - the oldest non-public university of applied sciences in the West Pomerania region - responsible for planning and executing of training, consulting and advisory services for business community, non-governmental organizations and administration.


Piotr Jachimczyk

Piotr is an IT executive with over 15+ years of experience in insurance and telco sector. As an IT development director and chief architect was responsible for concept, design and delivery of enterprise scale solutions in the field of sales and operations support, ERP, insurance policy admin and claims and risk. Stefano Tresca
Managing Partner iSeed / Level39 mentor

Programmer turned lawyer turned serial co-founder. Stefano has more than 15 years experience in startups, from apps to big corporations (mobile operator, internet provider, online bank, energy market). His love for the art of the start, together with his obsession for travelling, brought him to manage projects within 53 countries, including solar panels (China), organic food (Malaysia), fashion (Hong Kong and London), just to name a few.

Agnieszka is a co-founder of Evenea.pl – event management and ticketing system, which was awarded with local startup ekosystem prize „Auler 2011“ for the best Polish startup of the year. Last two years she spent managing The Founder Institute Warsaw. Agnieszka is also co-organizer of Lubcamp and Aula Polska Lublin – Polish startup barcamps. Agnieszka Nieradka

Agnieszka is a founder and owner of Pluszektorium that offers plush toys in shape of.... human organs! She is also a founder of WETFLOW, a brand of watersports wetsuit ready to be self-designed by customers. Creativity and determination are words, which match Agnieszka very well. With her experience and passion for new businesses, she supports startups in their early stages of growth - within brand identity creation, targeting and niche identification. She gave prelections during the Social Media Thursdays and numerous workshops dedicated to entrepreneurs. Her name is put behind the Young Entrepreneur Campaign. She is an adrenaline junkie and a big fan of new challenges.


Michał Olszewski
Lead Mentor @Impact Poland

Michał is a Lead Mentor at IMPACT_POLAND acceleration programme. Previous he was a Head Coach of the Starter Rocket acceleration programme. In the past he managed an internal ideas-to-prototypes incubation programme for Agora SA using lean methods and customer development approach. His previous assignments include managing a seed-level investment fund operating in Polish ITC market (LMS Invest) and another successful business accelerator - Huge Thing.



Dominik Wartecki
Get More Social/dotPR Group

Creator of the Get More Social brand and dotPR Group co-owner. Building internet image, in a broad sense, is his main skill and specialty. Co-organizer of "Revolution in Communication" seminary series and author of many publications and courses in Internet PR. His everyday tasks are building a formidable sales potential of the Group and communication operations in the digital realm.


Lukas Zels
CFO at Locafox

Lukas Zels is co-founder and CFO at Locafox and  responsible for HR, finance, and operations. Before that he was the founder and managing director of "Kaymu", an african Ebay-clone in Nigeria, where he was able to explore the basics of entrepreneurship.
As EIR at Rocket Internet Lukas worked for many ecommerce companies in Europe and Asia, rec uiting over 80 employees. Lukas Zels holds a dual degree in business economics from Berlin School of Economics and Law and West of England university.


Jerzy Kurgan
Innovation Expert, Aviva FTLab

Jerzy is currently part of the team responsible for technology innovations and cooperation with startups in Polish branch of Aviva (insurance company).
He is facilitating cooperation between large, traditional business and the world of startups – his role is to guide startups in corporate realities.
He also mentor teams during startups events, ie. Startup Weekend, HackJam or Design Thinking workshops.
He gained  experience in telco and e-commerce industries while working in companies such as Plus, Netia and Envelo.
During Startup Weekend can especially help with creating and verifying business models.


Christoph Kluge
Teamlead Web Development in Quandoo & Rocket Internet

Christoph started his education as a business related computer scientist where he learned a lot about marketing, processes and sales. Since he started his professional carrer 8 years ago as a web developer - he has been leading several development teams during the past 4 years with a hands-on attitude. Just to name some of those companies: GlossyBox (Rocket Internet) which is europe's leading beautybox provider and Quandoo which is europe's fastest-growing real-time reservation platform for restaurants.
His passion for efficiency and development is a perfect synergy for fast growing companies to establish their business model. The goal for himself is to share his knowledge with the crowd and help the teams to fulfil their goals.


Kamila Hankiewicz
CEO at Amuse & Blogger at Untrite.com

Kamila Hankiewicz is a young tech entrepreneur, blogger and the founder of the company Amuse, which acts as a tech bridge between Poland and the UK, helping young Polish startups to attract the UK know-how and investment.Having worked in communication, corporate banking and software industries and spotting common problems in the tech industry, Kamila decided to create a tech ecosystem of talented and ambitious software engineers based in Poland, who work on challenging, paid projects for the UK clients and the remaining time, Kamila and her team help newly formed Polish startups to become investment-ready.Kamila is a vivid tech start-up and social media advocate and acts as a advisor and strategist to many early stage start-ups. On her blog Untrite.com, Kamila shares her advice on entrepreneurship and self-development.



Michał Górski
Product Manager at Consileon Polska & Goorsky IT

Michał Górski - IT consultant, working on such projects as INK printing kiosks - the Silicon Valley startup with solution currently being implemented at universities in the US. Previously, he worked as a Product Manager for one of the largest social networks wayn.com. For several years he worked with his team on his own startup, and participated in the best acceleration program in Europe - Startup Bootcamp. Willing to share his experiences with startups.



Jan Filipowiak
CEO of Pixel Legend, Founder of Emb3d & Pastguide

Jan runs Pixel Legend, software house delivering stuff mainly for UK & US startups and he is responsible for business development in Emb3d - platform to embed virtual reality in real locations for architects and designers. It’s distribution for the tourist market codenamed Pastguide was the first project in Poland to receive SME Instrument innovation grant directly from EU Commission and since then it’s developed in several locations with the support of Helsinki-based accelerator Creatifi. Jan founded his first business in 2004, his companies worked for known brands like Dell, Amnesty International & Mercedes Benz. He likes to help young companies in their search for business model, technical advice or financing and sometimes jumps on stage to tell about his experience and projects.


Tomasz Szmidt
Founder of Thinkenglish.pl

Tomasz organizes custom English language courses for IT companies and individuals. His classes go far beyond typical language learning setting thanks to selection materials based on YouTube and tech/marketing blogs. Effective communication always comes first. That is why Tomasz concentrates on presentation skills and writing abilities.During the Startup Weekend Tomasz will help you with preparing final pitch presentations. He will show how to prepare slides and how to talk about your product.

Magda Małachowska, doctor of economic sciences, business consultant, co-founder of "Design Polska" consulting group and the "Media Dizajn" Association. Manager of Development at Centre for Creative Industries Academy of Arts. Lecturer of design services (service design) at the West Pomeranian University of Technology and the School of Form. Mom of 2 boys. A resident of fragrant chocolate Szczecin.

Protos Venture Capital

Kuba is a managing partner at Protos VC. He has been active on Polish startup scene for almost ten years. Early investor in Brainly and Allani. Kuba specializes in finance and business planning. Previously he was a mentor at Startupbootcamp Warsaw.


Michał Jasiński
Senior UX Designer at BLStream

The man orchestra - M.S. in Computer Graphics, UX Specialist working on consistency and quality of graphical user interfaces in West Pomeranian marshal's Office and Senior UX Designer in BLStream. He is also Owner and Creative Director in Deepline S.C.  responsible for company  and project management and also  employees, sales and customer service.

Bartek likes all things in the consumer internet space. He has joined Protos VC as Analyst in the fall of 2014 after completing an internship with a management consulting firm. Bartek specializes in due dilligence and social media marketing.

Mateusz Belattaf

He remembers BBS and the Mosaic browser, active on the Internet since 1997, promoter of open source implementations of WordPress as a CMS. Confessor inbound marketing practices of SEO / SEM and Social Media. From the beginning he worked as a freelancer, then in British Telecom, Content Forces, Ogicom ... managed campaigns for Facebook Ads and designed apps for Facebook/OpenGraph actively developing Fanpoint.com. He built analytical tool for monitoring and optimizing online business focus - smarter analytics (GetFokus.com) and for Youtube (YourMuse.IO) and organized meetings for lovers of new media and social marketing - Social Poznan (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GTWBhddjnps).

Jarosław Poteralski
The West Pomeranian Business School in Szczecin & Vice Dean of Faculty Economics and Pedagogy

Dr Poteralski teaches in The West Pomeranian Business School in Szczecin and in Gryfice (economics programs). His scientific research focuses on: labour market, entrepreneurship, management of projects. In period May 2007 – January 2008 he was on academic training in Insitut Arbeit und Technik in Gelsenkirchen, in Germany. He is the author of many scientific articles, books and guides in the area of his scientific interesting. He is  an experienced business consultant towards entrepreneurship and  setting up a company. He was also manager of many projects co-financed by UE. The title of his doctorate was: Labour market of university graduates in West Pomeranian Province





Marcin Skonieczny
Dige.pl

Managing Partner at Dige, Szczecin-based interactive agency / software house house building modern, web and mobile-based technology products that support everyday work and  help solve problems of their users - both corporate clients and the 'average Joe' users.   Dige develops web and mobile apps for corporate clients (Toyota, Ecolab, BASF among others), but also designs and creates it's own internal projects that grow into fully-fledged products.   Among Dige's major successes was creating and growing one of the biggest knowledge-related sites in the polish web (zapytaj.onet.pl)   Marcin Skonieczny, having a non-IT background (which he finds an advantage) is a link connecting the developers and the average users. Rafał Malujda

Attorney-at-law, LL.M. (Rostock), advises both experienced IT companies and startups commencing their way to glory in projects located in Poland and abroad and cooperates with seed and venture funds investing in startups. Open source enthusiast, member of the community of licensing lawyers within the Free Software Foundation Europe - FSFE Software Freedom Task Force.
