Build a Startup in 54h! Test your Idea - Meet great people to build a team - Get help from experienced mentors & feedback from investors

Startup Weekend is unique opportunity if you want to make a first step to START with your idea and DO a startup.  We are open to support all good startup ideas but looking especially for that in smart city area - best one will receive special Jury Award! Do you help us change our cities into Smart Cities using IoT, open data, iBeacons? Check our last edition's mentors & partners while we're revealing new ones.

All Startup Weekend events follow the same basic model: anyone is welcome to pitch their startup idea and receive feedback from their peers. Teams form around the top ideas (as determined by popular vote) and embark on a three-day frenzy of business model creation, coding, designing, and market validation. The weekend culminates with presentations in front of local entrepreneurial leaders with another opportunity for critical feedback!

Co-founder of Grupa Nokaut S.A. listed on the main Warsaw Stock Exchange market and Morizon S.A. - real estate company listed on NewConnect stock market. VP of Product w morizon.pl and business angel. Online since 1997. Involved in creating online products since 1999. Used to be a web designer, web developer, senior analyst, team leader, project manager and product manager as freelancer and in many different companies including Wirtualna Polska and GetResponse. Fascinated by the new technologies, ideas and startups. Geek and early adopter. Captures the world around by taking photos and listens to alternative music (often - live).


Sławomir Pucia
COO at Lemon Demon

For the past ten years Sławomir has been overseeing day-to-day operations of a technological startup-like company. Working with global partners in Fintech and Gambling industries he's been involved in every aspect of running a successful operation, including software development, business development, marketing and customer experience. Having owned a few successful products he appreciates and promotes great UX but doesn't forget that "...if you're not embarrassed by the first version of your product, you've launched too late". Sławomir is always keen on meeting people with fresh business ideas and is ready to advise based on his own experience.


Marcin Kaczmarek

Marcin Kaczmarek is a CEO of Consileon Poland - nearshore software house, for over 10 years he has been cooperating both big corporations and startups from Europe and Silicon Valley. His mission is to repair IT mostly by following principles of agility. So if you would like to know why parts of your IT should be done with external company, how to select good external software house and how to create win-win relation with it, Marcin is there for you, and he will be the right person to talk. "Proud to be different” in  IT is his claim and personally he is a big fan of basketball.


Derk Steemers
Digital Strategy Consultant

Derk Steemers is a Digital Strategy Consultant for World of Digits in Brussels, Belgium. He specialises in scaling startups and entering new markets. Over the last few years Derk has worked with startups from all over Europe, including Poland. Previously he was the brand strategist for Arkley VC and worked intimately with Lovely on their launch.

Jan Filipowiak
CEO of Pixel Legend, Founder of Emb3d & Pastguide

Jan runs Pixel Legend, software house delivering stuff mainly for UK & US startups and he is responsible for business development in Emb3d - platform to embed virtual reality in real locations for architects and designers. It’s distribution for the tourist market codenamed Pastguide was the first project in Poland to receive SME Instrument innovation grant directly from EU Commission and since then it’s developed in several locations with the support of Helsinki-based accelerator Creatifi. Jan founded his first business in 2004, his companies worked for known brands like Dell, Amnesty International & Mercedes Benz. He likes to help young companies in their search for business model, technical advice or financing and sometimes jumps on stage to tell about his experience and projects.


Miłosz Wójcik
CEO at Appchance

An entrepreneur and manager working in the new tech and marketing industry. For over five years, he’s been managing Appchance - a leading Polish company designing and programming mobile apps for clients from all around the world. At Appchance, he’s responsible for building and modifying the company’s operational strategy, business development and business consulting for key clients. Miłosz has taken part in creating product and business strategies for tens of startups. Prior to founding Appchance, he worked in one of the leading Venture Capital funds in Poland.


Marcin Zmaczyński

Over 12 years experience in IT. True enthusiast of wide IT and new mobile technologies. Focused on SMB sector in CEE market and big supporter of any activities for this sector.

Melissa Erdagi
Rocket Internet (RCKT) / Design Thinking Guest Coach@HPI

Melissa Erdagi began her startup career as Brand Manager at Rocket Internet, working with dozens of founders to launch their brands. Now, at RCKT, Rocket Internet's brand and communication agency, she helps established companies transform their businesses by tapping into the startup economy and mindset. Melissa is also a regular Design-Thinking Guest Coach at the HPI Academy, teaching user-centered innovation to professionals from organisations such as Adidas, Audi, Bayer, Coca Cola, Pfizer, SAP, and Volkswagen, among others. She has been part of the Startup Weekend ecosystem for over 3 years, both as a participant and a mentor.


Rafał Malujda

Attorney-at-law, LL.M. (Rostock), advises both experienced IT companies and startups commencing their way to glory in projects located in Poland and abroad and cooperates with seed and venture funds investing in startups. Open source enthusiast, member of the community of licensing lawyers within the Free Software Foundation Europe - FSFE Software Freedom Task Force. In the next days his videocasts on e-commerce legal issues, including export of such services, will be published by Polish Agency for Enterprise Development (PARP).


Justyna Osuch
Managing Director of the Business Development Centre in The West Pomeranian Business School

Business advisor in the area of governance and management, business trainer with more than 14 years of experience. A specialist in a project management (European funds co-financed projects, training and consulting projects) and science business cooperation. For more than 10 years has been actively working in the field of regional and national development, working with national and regional institutions and supporting the regional business environment - institutions and companies. The Managing Director of the Business Development Centre in The West Pomeranian Business School - the oldest non-public university of applied sciences in the West Pomerania region - responsible for planning and executing of training, consulting and advisory services for business community, non-governmental organizations and administration.


Marcin Fejfer
Investment Manager, SpeedUp Venture Capital Group

Marcin is responsible for scouting and analysis of promising startups, as well as for investment process management and startups mentoring. He has profound understanding of internet marketing, product development and innovation management. Before joining Speed Up Venture Capital Group he has been working in various internet marketing and technology companies in Poland, Portugal, Denmark and in India. Marcin was coorganizer of Startup Weekend Poznan, Startup Sprints and Startup Pirates Poznan. He is graduate of MSc. Global Innovation Management - double diploma programme of University of Strathclyde in Scotland and Aalborg University in Denmark. He also earned BSc. degree at Poznan University of Economics.


Tobias Schwarz
Coworking Manager at St. Oberholz

Tobias Schwarz is Coworking Manager at St. Oberholz in Berlin, managing the two coworking spaces you might not know yet, because the name is mostly linked with the dense population of MacBooks at the bustling café and bar at Rosenthaler Platz. Before that Tobias Schwarz was Project Head of the blog Netzpiloten.de, for whom he still works as an Editor-at-Large and as an advisor to the management. Joanna Trela-Zielińska

Joanna has been working in the IT industry for over 5 years - currently, as Product Manager. She is responsible for managing entire life cycle of her products, from strategic planning and business analytics, through designing UX mockups, overseeing implementation, preparing documentation, to the end-product development. She loves working with her team on making things work.

Krzysztof Biernacki
Head digital tools development and innovation lab at Aviva Poland

Krzysztof is currently responsible for digital sales development and technology invotation lab in Aviva Poland. Over 13 years linked with digital tools development for customers but also physical networks. Previously, he was responsible for development of ebanking, mobile banking solutions in one of  biggest banks in Poland, with omnichannel enviroment.  His main focus is technology innovation, fintech that bring value added for companies.  


Dominik Grochowicki
Graphic Designer at Lemon Demon

Dominik's career in design started in 2001 with 2d PDAs games and pre-smartphone java games . Since that time he has been working on various projects, creating unique designs in fields as 2D mobile games, web design, branding, UI, UX and marketing campaigns. He has, however found the greatest satisfaction in designing mobile apps. Successfully completing dozens of mobile application projects has formed a notable specialist in him. Target-oriented and paying great attention to detail, he is not afraid to go out of his comfort zone, be it logotype, website, landing page, banner you can count on him.


Maciej Stanisławski
Graphic Designer at Lemon Demon

Maciej has been working in the graphics industry since 2003. Even though he begun in the field of polygraphy and print, he soon realized that he was more interested in Web Design. Having established his specialty, Maciej went on to mastering his skills. He is constantly seeking evolution in his work, spotting the freshest trends in order to juice up his own projects with them.
