What is it: 
Exactly what it says on the tin! A 54-hour event for developers, designers and entrepreneurs to hack on your latest fintech idea. You will be able to present your own concept and form a team around it or join forces with someone else. Over the weekend, you will be putting the foundations of a business case, designing and building a product prototype, testing your assumptions with a potential customers, and, on Sunday night, pitch the results of your weekend's work to a panel of investors and industry titans from across banking, insurance and payments. What's more, over the weekend, you will have access to over ten industry experts and mentors to help you bring your ideas to life. 

Who is it for: 
Anyone with a passion for fintech is welcome! If you've been toying with an idea, but need a final push to make it happen, if you are looking for ways for form a great team, or if you are simply excited to get involved with a fintech startup at its conceptualisation, this weekend is for you.

Adam Uszpolewicz
Aviva Poland CEO

Joined Aviva in 2007 as CEO of Aviva Poland. From 2009 to 2013 held senior positions in the group's international structure, with responsibility for business development and marketing across European and Asian markets. At the same time chaired the Supervisory Board of Aviva Poland. In 2013 reappointed as CEO of Aviva Poland - a leading insurance, pensions and investment products provider in this growth market. Prior to joining Aviva he held senior positions in leading international financial services companies, including GE Capital, Cigna and Nationwide, and worked in Warsaw, London and Luxembourg.
He was also an executive director at PwC in Warsaw.

Cezary Smorszczewski
CEO of MCI Management SA / Managing Partner

From march 2014 he is CEO in MCI Management S.A. MCI invests in companies at the stage of growth and expansion in the sectors of new technologies.
Has more ten 20 years  of experience in the largest Polish companies. He has worked  in Bank Handlowy, PKN Orlen,  Pekao S.A. In 2007, was one of the founders of Alior Bank, responsible for operations, IT and corporate banking.

Thomas Ruedel
Kauz Semantic Technologies - Founder & CEO

Worked for 18 years as a management consultant at McKinsey & Company, where he specialized in Financial Services and in particular Insurance. He was a member of the European Insurance and Asset Management Leadership Group, leader of the European P&C Practice, and Managing Partner of the Warsaw Office. He retired in 2007 to pursue personal interests in finance and science. An early attempt at setting up a hedge fund failed quickly during the financial crisis. After several years of studies and experimentation in Computational Linguistics, Thomas Ruedel founded a start-up that develops semantic technologies to understand textual information for areas such as semantic search, question answering, and virtual assistants.        
Thomas Ruedel studied Economics in Freiburg, Virginia Tech, and Münster, he holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Freiburg.

Piotr Pągowski
Owner & Founder | Arbor

Graduated from the Warsaw University of Technology and is working in the IT industry since 1993. Started his carree at Baza sp. z o.o. and Westwood Poland sp. z o.o. Since 1995 he was working at Intel, managing Central Eastern Europe corporate sales and marketing strategies. Between 2006 and 2011 Piotr Pągowski was working for Microsoft as Country Manager E&D (Entertainment & Devices) responsible for Poland and Baltics States, later Consumer & On-line General Manager and OEM Director. Starting of 1st April 2011 he became the General Manager of Personal Systems Group and later Printing and Personal Systems at HP Poland. Since begining of 2015 he is running his own consulting and investment enterprise.Piotr Pągowski is also acting as a member of Supervisory Board of CD Projekt Red SA, major game publisher in Poland as well as Solwit SA, B2B software house.

Roman Młodkowski
Independent consultant, manager, economic journalist

Business consultant (Corporate Internal Communication and General Management in Media). Creator, Head of News and Director of franchise TVN CNBC (2007 – 2013). Head of Business Desk TVN24 (2001 – 2007) . Multi award winning journalist (incl. Kisiel, Fikus and Grand Press awards in 2006). IESE Business School alumnus (Warsaw AMP 2009) and MSc Political Science Warsaw University. Author of multiple TV formats, including Firma (TVN24 2003 – 2009).

Michał Olszewski
Deputy Mayor of Warsaw

Born in 1977 in Bydgoszcz. Graduated from Faculty of Journalism and Political Science University of Warsaw. Since October 2011, Deputy Mayor of Warsaw, before Director of European Funds Department. As a Deputy Mayor he is responsible for development strategy of Warsaw. He also supervises European funds, economic development, housing and geodesy.

Creator of many websites, investor and enthusiast of new technologies. Every day seeks to engage in all activities on the company. Great organizer of his work as well as his employees. He believes that life has meaning if we have passion, and his passion is his work.

Marcin Zabielski
Partner at Hedgehog Fund

Marcin has 20 years of professional experience. His up-to-date work experience aimed at getting broad management experience in diverse market sectors incl.: Internet, Telecoms, Banking, Insurance, FMCG, Transportation and Pharmaceuticals. The active engagements for his clients required professional knowledge of the strategic management, restructuring, lean management, cost cutting as well as typical business development, start-up management and early-stage investing. As the entrepreneur he was developing online auctions in Poland, Hungary, Czech Rep. and Greece. Marcin was also involved as Business Development Director of Grupa Pracuj – the leader of online recruitment in Poland and Ukraine. His assignments there concerned holistic approach to: strategy creation, execution of new projects and revenue streams. Currently he is Managing Partner in Hedgehog Fund – early stage investment fund. Marcin has the Master Degree in Management and Marketing of the University of Economics in Wrocław. He is Certified Member of Management and Supervisory Boards also holding the Diploma of European School of Leaders.

Marcin Kurek
Entrepreneur and Polish Venture Capital investor

He is a Partner and cofounder in Protos Venture Capital. He has also cofounded Grupa (exit to Edipresse) and invested in many internet projects, including dynamically growing and (better recognized in Poland as Marcin specializes in internet marketing, and business models development.

Elżbieta Wójcik
Marketing & Direct Channel Director, Management Board Member Aviva Poland

Elżbieta has extensive experience in sales, promotion and marketing. Before joining Aviva Poland, she co-founded Link4, first direct insurer in Poland and became its sales&marketing director. Graduated from the Catholic University in Lublin (history of art), and a Lancashire University, Preston MBA programme at Lublin Business School. Completed a postgraduate study in value-based management at the Warsaw School of Economics, and executive programmes at Kellog School of Management and CEDEP/INSEAD Fontainebleau, France.

Marek Przybylski
CEO of Aviva Investors Poland

Marek is a CEO of Aviva Investors Poland. He has a wide experience in investments and entrepreneurship. His key responsibility in Aviva is supervising the asset management of unit – linked and investment funds. Engaged also in technology-related projects, for example web-based investment TV and virtual branch selling investment products. Before joining Aviva he worked as licensed investment advisor and head of equity research.

Radosław Cielicki
CEO & Founder of BanFi Group

Radosław Cielicki - for over ten years, he has significant operations
in the areas of entrepreneurship and finance. He is one of the
the founders of BANFI Group that assists customers by offering
the business process outsourcing - accounting, tax, human resources and
wages or the secretariat services - by means of supported IT system that helps
manage business information in companies. He is also the Chairman of the Board at
BusinessCaddy Enterprise Development Foundation, which activates
development of start-ups and micro and medium enterprises.

Tomasz Woźniak
Co-owner and CEO of Future Mind

CEO of Future Mind – a company with more than 40 implementations of mobile applications. Since 2009 Future Mind has been developing projects for the iOS and Android platforms. The company’s portfolio includes official versions of and, one of most popular entertainment applications in Poland. With Next is Great, Future Mind shipped worldwide know apps like Bloxy, Love to Count or Geek Chess Academy.

Tomasz Rzeski
Marketing Director at Bank BPH

Tomasz is result-oriented change agent turning challenges into opportunities. He has 12 years of cross-cultural experience in consulting & banking. Tomasz worked on a number of projects (incl. green field) for global companies such as GE Capital, UniCredit, Citibank and PwC in Warsaw, London, Abu Dhabi and Frankfurt/Main. Tomasz was a scholar at the University of Mainz, he graduated from the Warsaw School of Economics and the Experienced Commercial Leadership Program at GE.

Łukasz Walkowski
CTO & Founder of Homplex

System architect / administrator, software engineer, database performance tuning passionate building efficient IT systems for last 14 years. 6 years of experience in software development and infrastracture managment in big telecommunication companies (Netia, Polkomtel). Last 4 years working on infrastructure. IT geek, gamer, 3D design passionate.

Natalia Załęcka
Marketing Director at Getin Noble Bank

I’m the Marketing Executive who comes from the agency’s world and the Strategic Planner who received the possibility to implement a strategy into business.At present I’m trying to use this mix of experiences for Getin Bank. My challenge is to redefine the brand basing on innovative banking solutions.
