Event starts at 6:30 pm

Your idea in 54 hours
Techstars Startup Weekend is the place to look for a team, create a prototype of your idea, validate your business idea, and receive feedback from experienced entrepreneurs, all in one weekend.
What do you need to bring?
Lots of energy! You'll pitch your own idea or listen to others, then vote on the most interesting ideas and form teams with diverse skill sets. You can come with friends, but you’ll get the full experience if you participate in separate teams. Remember, it’s all about the team.
Your idea should be something you have not previously worked on. The idea you pitch and the problem you set out to solve can span social, educational, financial, environmental, or other issues. Over the course of the weekend you'll be challenged to create a prototype of your MVP, or minimum viable product, that fits the needs of your target customer. You'll get feedback, iterate, and likely pivot your approach entirely! Important: You cannot have worked previously on your idea.
Techstars Startup Weekend is a full weekend long experience. Your ticket includes:
- 7 full (and delicious) meals over the course of the weekend
- Benefits and discounts from our global partners
- One-on-one time with amazing mentors
- A new network of developers, designers, and entrepreneurs eager, like you, to change the world.
- All the internet and coffee you can consume.

Master (Hons) in Technology Entrepreneurship at Católica Lisbon School of Business and Economics and teaching himself to code in free time. Worked with multinational companies, small businesses, start-ups, NGO's, entrepreneurship organizations and education.
As a founder and CEO, I understand the best practices and challenges that arise from growing the team from a couple of founders to 25 people, accelerating the client base from 10 pilots to hundreds of paying clients in 40+ US states or scaling a product from 1 feature (MVP) to a client solution.
I co-founded, led as CEO and successfully sold an EdTech SaaS company selected for 2016 Google Demo Day. For 4 years, I was the CEO of MyChild – a company that helped Early Education centers to send paperless daily reports to parents. Before successfully finding an exit to MyChild, I was able to raise $3 million in seed money to grow an idea to a business with hundreds of paying clients across 40 US states. As a CEO, I hired and managed a team of 25 people to work in sales, customer success, product and operations.
Prior to MyChild, I spent around 6 years in management consulting where I advised multinational companies in strategy and operational challenges such as market-entry opportunities, process reengineering and growth strategies across different industries.
I love Education Technology and I have a crush on the Tourism industry.

Since 2011 i've produced some stuff as a freelancer and i've worked as a Graphic and Webdesigner, first at Brightline LDA and then at Leya SA.
I came to Lisbon on 2013, to work as a UX/UI & WebDesigner at VILT Group.

I'm an Australian software engineer and entrepreneur, currently based in The Netherlands. After a successful career as a technology consultant I shifted focus toward consumer tech products and startups. I have both founded and worked as an early employee at several startups and experienced plenty of highs and lows along the way. My current day-job is an Engineer / Developer Advocate for Stream (TechStars NYC 2015).
On Startup Weekend: Since participating and becoming hooked for the first time in 2010, I've been involved with over twenty-five events across Australia, Asia, Europe and North America. I love discussing innovative ideas, tackling business model risks, and brainstorming to overcome technical challenges. Be sure to connect any time via www.dwightgunning.com.
